Melanie Liburd joins the cast of Game of Thrones

Melanie LiburdThe casting news just won’t quit this week! Another new Game of Thrones addition has been spotted, this time in Peñíscola, Spain where the cast is filming.

English actress Melanie Liburd was identified by Watchers on the Wall reader Gravemaster, and her casting verified by an Instagram posting (shown below the cut). In the posting, Liburd says, “Flying back to London then on to Spain to film Game Of Thrones. Holy *%#@ dreams actually do come true! I’m so excited I feel like jumping up and down!!”

Liburd has appeared in several American series such as CSI, Dracula, The Grinder and Kevin Williamson’s Stalker.

Game of Thrones casts Joe Naufahu in season 6

JoeHere’s a great piece of officially confirmed casting news to cap off the day! Deadline has announced that Joe Naufahu has joined the cast of Game of Thrones for the upcoming season. Deadline describes the part as a “multi-episode arc.”

Hailing from New Zealand, Naufahu had a recurring gig on Spartacus: War of the Damned, and appeared in the series Go Girls.

Once again there is no character mentioned in the announcement, but we can make a reasoned guess as to Naufahu’s role.

A Murder of Crows: The countdown to season six

Let’s do a quick and dirty Murder of Crows, shall we?

In case you haven’t noticed, there’s been a huge deluge of set photos, spy reports, and casting leaks announcements for season six. As exciting as all this is in and of itself, it’s rendered all the more magical once one stops to consider that this is all (potentially) brand-new material – with no more published books to draw off of, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are heading into spoiler territory, big time.
