Location filming in Northern Ireland for Game of Thrones season 6 has begun in Magilligan, based on some new photos surfacing online.
We reported last week that the show would be returning to the town in N.I. for shooting this year, after filming scenes there in season 5 most notably involving Emilia Clarke in the finale.

That’s right, there are TWO giveaways this weekend to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the founding of Watchers on the Wall!

Oz… why? Why would you put such a fantastically realistic “cat on the throne” picture at the top of a post on the great Wall of the Game of Thrones fandom?
Well, because it’s our birthday. And birthdays are synonymous with half-baked, ill-advised behaviors. Besides that, I love the cat people.
But there is also a story behind the elusive kittens on the Wall, dating back to when we were constructing this monstrosity. It involved a cruel joke and a momentary loss of sanity for some of the founders. And it was all Sue’s fault…
Today’s the big day – Watchers on the Wall turns a whopping one-year-old!
To celebrate the occasion, I’ve asked each of the Watchers to share her favorite memory from the past 12 months, or, conversely, what stands out the most to him about being a crow. The answers I’ve received are sometimes funny, sometimes heartfelt, and always nostalgic – perhaps not the most thematically appropriate to Game of Thrones, with its murderous rampages at each and every family-friendly gathering and all, but a wonderful trip down memory lane nonetheless.

Season 5 was emotionally taxing for a lot of us … and composer, Ramin Djawadi, is no exception.
Charged with the ponderous task of setting Game of Thrones‘ grandest and most intimate scenes alike to music, Djawadi told Express.co.uk that he found the show’s brutal fifth season to be an especial challenge as certain scenes proved to be as difficult to score as they were to watch, if not more so.
The time has come to celebrate the very best of Game of Thrones season 5, as chosen entirely by you, the fans!
How does it work? The initial suggestions for nominees in every category come from the fans, and run-off voting determines which top five win the final nomination in their category. (Best Episode is an exception- every episode will be in the final voting for this one.)

Filming will soon be underway in the Magilligan/Binevenagh region, Co. Derry, for Game of Thrones season 6.
The Northern Irish location was also used last season for Daenerys’ final scene with Drogon and the Dothraki, as far as we can tell. The Derry Journal reports that filming will take place on Binevenagh Mountain on Saturday July 25th, and the crew will depart the location on Monday.

According to the agency CV of actor Ricky Champ, he’ll be playing the role of Flynn on Game of Thrones next season.
We know from a previously leaked casting breakdown list that Flynn is an outlaw, part of a band using religion to justify extorting the people of the countryside. The character was listed as appearing in 2 episodes in season 6.
Champ played the regular role of Paul on the British sitcom Him & Her for four seasons. He’s had stints on Crims and Youngers, and appeared in films such as The World’s End and Mortdecai.
