Watchers on the Wall Anniversary Giveaway Day 2: INTERNATIONAL ONLY!

Game of Thrones Monopoly

That’s right, there are TWO giveaways this weekend to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the founding of Watchers on the Wall!

While yesterday’s giveaway was open to all readers worldwide (we’re still accepting entries in that one, by the way!), today’s Game of Thrones Monopoly prize is for a more select crowd…everyone who ISN’T in the USA. Why? Because so often, our giveaways have to be USA-Only for one reason or another. We wanted to do something special for the people who are often left out. We have many readers across the world and want to show you some love.

So today’s giveaway is non-USA only. Take a step back, my fellow Americans. This one is for everyone else.

Other than that, the rules for today’s giveaway are the same, and listed in full below. Short version: leave a comment below to enter. Check out the rules to learn how to gain TWO more entries! You have 48 hours to enter.

The Official Rules

How do you enter?

Method #1, Commenting: Simply comment on this post!

For additional or alternate entries (making it possible to have 3 entries total):

Method #2, Twitter: Follow our Twitter, WatchersOTWall, and retweet the International-only Monopoly contest tweet (you must do both for the extra entry). If you already follow us, no problem. Simply retweet the contest post.

Method #3, Facebook: Like the WatchersontheWall Facebook page and share the International-only Monopoly contest post (you must do both for the extra entry). If you already Like our page, again, no problem. Just share the contest post and you are entered!

Entries are accepted for 48 hours, until 3PM EDT, on July 28th, 2015. The winner will be randomly selected and announced shortly thereafter.

**The contest is international, NON-USA entries ONLY!** The winner is selected by random drawing. The winner must respond within 48 hours of notification or will forfeit their prize and another winner will be selected. The winner must have a valid shipping address.

Twitter and Facebook are their own entities and are in no way associated with this giveaway.

  1. OK, that’s so good. Nice that we don’t have to compete against the US in this as well. Very Nice (now let me win…)

  2. I love that you’re doing this; like you mentioned (although I understand why), international contests are rare to come by. Happy anniversary!

  3. When you play the game of Monopoly you win or you go directly to jail, Do not pass go, do not visit a Cock Merchant.

  4. It is so great that you guys think of the non-American people. Game of Thrones is a world-wide phenomenon, thus your page has followers from all over the world. Thank you!

Greetings from Germany, by the way 😉

  5. You know, one would think after all the times I’ve participated in these contests I would’ve won something by now… Oh well, here goes another try.

  6. Thank you for this none-USA contest! And obviuoulsy, I’d love to get one. Much appreciated. 🙂

    Valar morghulis.

  7. Hellolo!
Super-nice of you to make this one international!
    My favorite GOT site!!!

    Greez,
    M.

  8. I’m always in the shadows, reading all the posts, all the comments… but when i comment, i want a freakin GoT Monopoly!
but remember. As I cannot be the hero, let me be the monster, and lesson them in fear in place of love

  9. Winter has come to Argentina, we have inflation, free fall of our currency, authoritarism but fortunately it’s a winter without white walkers. You know nothing Starks.

  10. if the theory of tyrion being the son of aerys and johana lannister are true and jaime and tyrion meet again in the future im pretty sure that jaime will claim the death of his father tywin and then tyrion will respond.. and you killed my father, now we are even.

    PD: i want a monopoly

  11. Thank you for making this one international-only.
    Have a great weekend everyone!

Please delete, I messed up my mail addy…stupid me.

  12. Ingrun:
Thank you for making this one international-only.
    Have a great weekend everyone!

Messed up my email addy…. sorry, fixed it with this post. Could you please delete the other one? (In the other thread to… 2:22pm)

  13. Nice.
Really starting to love this site. You can feel the warmth, love and passion coming off the screen. Well done everyone involved in its creation and happy 1st birthday for the other day.

  14. My grandmother is so tired of summer, that’s always saying: “winter is coming”. Yeah, she doesn’t live on the wall.

  15. Chaos isn’t a Pit, Chaos is a Board Game.

Many who try to Play it fail and never get to try again. The Dice breaks them. And some are given a chance to Play, they cling to the Browns or the Blues or Pinks. Only the Board is real. The Game is all there is.”

  16. Thanks so much for all you guys do! Love that there’s a special contest for us international fans 🙂

  17. Ops, I don’t live in the US but I participated in yesterday’s contest :/

    well, happy name day again!

  18. Happy birthday to this amazing website, so cool that you guys are doing this, congrats !!

  20. Many happy returns from Canada! I love your website and look forward to your e-mail alerts every day.

  21. Happy Anniversary! 😀 Hodor! Hot Pie! House of Black and White!
And thanks for the opportunity! Far too few non-US contests out there.

  22. Auren: Ops, I don’t live in the US but I participated in yesterday’s contest :/

That’s fine! Yesterday’s contest was worldwide, it’s for everyone.

  23. Yay, finally a non-USA contest, I kept entering those like a wally, overlooking the “small print” in my excitement…
Congrats on the anniversary, it doesn’t feel that long ????

  24. Hopefully simpler than the original Game of Thrones board game, which looks good on my bookshelf, but never been played due to not having six months to learn the rules.

  25. Thanks for the contest! And once again, happy nameday, WOTW!
Let’s give it a shot! Stannis the Mannis!

  26. Yiiiiis! A man needs this. I hope a man doesn’t come off as (too) greedy for submitting in this and the previous post. 🙂

  27. In the Monopoly of Thrones, you win or you pay.

I want this (the greedy Bastard that I am).

  28. Happy anniversary from México ????!!! Please make Winter come, here it’s always so hot

  29. Happy B-Day Watcher’s on the Wall!

And as a Canadian, it’s great to know you’re showing affection to all other parts of the world~

Count me in as a participant ^ ^.

  30. This is great! For the first time I see a contest dedicated to non-USA. Best wishes to you guys!

  31. I’d love to win, but damn, it should be “go to dungeon” , not “go to jail” and instead of “passing go” …..”stayed alive”.

  32. Congratulations! This is the best GOT blog / news site on the Westeros Wide Webb!

Thank you so much for all the information, my little birds

  33. Thank you so much for (1) letting me share ideas and comments with fellow fans, you guys are great, and (2) thinking about those living outside the US !

    Happy birthday
    Long live WoW

  34. OH YES PLEASE! Thanks for remembering your followers outside of the US. Greetings from Argentina!!!

  35. When you play the game of Game of Thrones Monopoly you win or you toss the board in anger. There is no middle ground.

  36. I´m feeling a bit greedy for submitting another post under this thread after the last one on the general giveaway, but… What do I want? Oh, everything (but mostly Game of Thrones-Monopoly of course).

  37. Thanks for this. As an American living abroad, I am usually specifically excluded from contests and giveaways, not the reverse.

  38. Either you don’t like Game of thrones, or you OBSESS OVER IT. There is no middle ground

  39. Hello!

Happy birthday WotW! Thanks for all the work you put in! (I cannot believe it’s been a year already…)

And thanks for the shot at the giveaway; European addresses are usually excluded from events like this, sadly.

  40. Amazing! A New Zealand poster here, one of my daily wake up and check websites 🙂

    Best of luck to all!

  41. Great that you guys are doing something for the rest of the world. It’s understandable that these are usually US-centric so we really are grateful.

  42. What a great day. My Mums birthday, awesome brunch, some drinks and now this. 🙂 Wish everyone good luck.

  43. Best birthday wishes from a native of everyone’s favourite southron land – Australia!

  44. Yay! Love this… thanks Watchers on the Wall… may this head my way in Trinidad! Welcome the North to the Caribbean!

  45. What a year it has been! Congrats guys on building an amazing community (again).

  46. GOT is truly stunning visually, gripping story telling and epic in scale!! Long may it continue!

  47. Oh gosh, I’d really love to get my hands on this. Our family is board games and Game of Thrones mad!

    Happy Site Birthday!

  48. You know nothing, Jon Snow.

Greetings from the Emerald Isle (the Republic of Ireland) and Happy Name Day to you, Watchers on the Wall.

  49. Happy Birthday, dear Watchers, thank you very much for this, greetings from Serbia!

  50. Happy anniversary!
But to believe the community is but a year old, is slightly erroneous… I feel like you guys are old friends!

  51. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY WOTW!

(i don’t usually join giveaway contests but i really really want this board game)

  52. Here’s hoping for that awesome giveway, from a Game of Thrones fan in
Portugal! (Argh! So close to the Khaleesi, yet so far away… Just like Jorah!)

    Happy Name Day!

  53. Love the site, was happy to find you again – not very impressed with the usurpers. Couldn’t miss out on Oz’s Unsullied Recaps, love them.
From Fish Hoek, Cape Town, South Africa.

  54. “I never win anything,” Dolorous Edd complained. “The gods always smiled on Watt, though. When the wildlings knocked him off the Bridge of Skulls, somehow he landed in a nice deep pool of water. How lucky was that, missing all those rocks?”
“Was it a long fall?” Grenn wanted to know. “Did landing in the pool of water save his life?”
“No,” said Dolorous Edd. “He was dead already, from that axe in his head. Still, it was pretty lucky, missing the rocks.”

  55. Looks fun this Monopoly, I guess it would be awsome to play with my children here in the area close to Västerås, when Winter is coming, watching the White walkers of winter pour by.

    (This is, Uppsala – Sweden)

  56. This is the best reason ever to finally start commenting after being a silent spy for so long

  57. This is awesome, I live in Cambodia, and would be great to have the GoT monopoly for our monthly game night!

  58. Everyone I know hates Monopoly but I bet they’d change their tune if it was GoT based!!

I could finally play it again!!!! 😀

  59. I got my first Monopoly when I was five and it was Yugoslavian, since it still existed as a country at the time. I still have it. Recently I got addicted to GOT and I would love to try Monopoly version of the story. Hope to get it!

  60. In the days before the internet Monopoly and such games were useful for passing the time for a group if the weather outside was rainy – never guess I’m from the UK would you? Actually there is some sun poking through today but yesterday was totally wet and miserable.

  61. Monopoly and GoT suit each other quite well – both are merciless and full of family feuds. I imagine Tywin playing this with his kids.

  62. Greetings from the Netherlands! Also yes I’m participating in both contests because I’m greedy. 🙂

  63. Well, that’s turning into one hell of a celebration 🙂

Much better than any westerosi wedding. Way to celebrate, WotW! Happy anniversary to all 🙂

  64. WOW! That version of Monopoly would look realy nice in my room 🙂 OK, in kids room, they would take it from me in blink of an eye I suppose…
    No i wszystkiego najlepszego z Polski 😉

  65. That’s really nice give away 🙂
I really hope luck will be on my side this time 😉

  66. Yaaayyy!!! At last, people this side of the sunset sea get a chance to win a giveaway! Thank you!

  67. Truely awesome gesture gratitude and greetings from OZ
And who says “you know nothing Watchers on the wall”
    Cheers Steve

Regards to all funs from Slovenia.

  70. Hi,

I just love Game of Thrones and a huge fan of your site as well. I so want to win something because I have never won any contest before and winning this contest would literally make me feel like a Targaryen sitting on the Iron throne 😀

    Happy Birthday WOTW! xoxo

  79. Probably, as always, I won’t win anything, but hey – it’s worth trying.
    Hugs ans kisses from Poland!

  80. @MargaeryTyrell and I would enjoy playing this, if only to watch others fight to the death for Boardwalk.

  81. Watchers on the Wall people are the perfect Faceless Men: you can’t see them, but they are always killing us (the many faces) with the uncertain speculation but serving us with these amazing giveaways!

  82. Guess that proves WotW has a lot of international readers. Thanks for giving every one of us this oportunity. We’ll toast to this succesful first year and the many more to come!

  83. Happy birthday! All westeros cherish your work and commitment to our cause, from the southern Salty Shore of Dorne and its Summer Sea, up the Mole’s Town freezing winds.

Thank you Watchers on the Wall!

  84. I look into the flames, and I see myself walking the battlements of Monopoly. But I only see Snow…

  85. Greetings from a place as far South as South goes: Argentina!!

    ¡Feliz aniversario WotW!

  86. After a terrible day, winning this would just make up for it all! So fingers crossed and thanks for being an awesome site with awesome competitions!

  87. This is so awesome! Thanks to opening it up for the rest of us! Here’s hoping a raven can bring it all the way to Australia!

  88. Long-time lurker, first-time poster out of Sweden. Fingers crossed. 🙂 Happy anniversary!

  89. Happy Anniversary! I have retweeted on Twitter and shared on Facebook and followed both accounts 🙂

  90. Please, please, please do NOT go down the resurrection road with anyone, even Jon Snow. This path of evil leads to amnesia and, err, evil twins.

  91. I love Monopoly! My own is the boring normal one that is really old, if I do not win this I might have to buy this one, I did not know this excited before.

  92. Oh hope I still have a chance! Happy Birthday and it is amazing what you’ve achieved in only 1 YEAR! Congratulations!

  93. “If you think this has a Happy Ending… You Haven’t been Paying Attention”

    Happy Birthday Our Community! 🙂

  94. What in seven hells is this! Superrrrrr awesome! Thank you so much! I’ll join this game of Monopoly! And when you play this game, you win or you die. And there is only one thing I say to death. Not today!!!
