The Game of Thrones Halloween 2015 Guide
Game of Thrones has had a natural relationship with Halloween since the show debuted. The Emmy-winning costumes provide a great variety of attractive and delightfully gruesome concepts to choose from. Every year, fans top themselves with creative takes on the season’s biggest scenes- revisit last year’s Halloween parade of Game of Thrones costumes for examples and ideas.
Have you made up your mind yet whether this year you’ll be Jaime or Melisandre or Jon? A book character that never made it to the show? A walking-dead Karsi or still-on-the-stake Shireen? (Don’t groan, I’ve seen that last one before. It was pretty amazing, actually.) Let’s see what our options are this year!
New Details on the Game of Thrones Season 5 DVD/Blu-ray Box Set!
HBO is releasing details on the box art and full extra content of the Season 5 Box Set for DVD and Blu-Ray. They previously announced that Season 5 would be available for digital download this fall, but the box set is scheduled to be ready before the likely season 6 premiere!

The filming of Game of Thrones season 6 in Peñíscola has brought us new Meereen spoilers over the past few days- including more info about a possible return– and today brings more with the latest images from Spain.

In three days time, A Night of Ice and Fire descends upon New York City.
This Friday night, October 9th, at 8PM, the Game of Thrones community will gather for a night of music and festivities- and we’re inviting you to join us.
A Night of Ice and Fire, hosted by GoT’s Kristian Nairn and our own Zack Luye, is part of New York Comic Con’s Super Week. Held at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, the night is packed with Thrones fun.
What can you look forward to, besides mingling with your fellow fans in nerd nirvana?
- NYCC’s official Game of Thrones costume contest, hosted by Fire and Lunch with special guest judge David J. Peterson. Watch Game of Thrones & ASOIAF fans show off their best cosplay and compete for a grand prize package!
- Makers of the official GoT brews, Brewery Ommegang will be in attendance, holding the finals of the week’s Boulder, Sword, and Dragon competition.
- Game of Owns will be podcasting live from the event, featuring an exclusive conversation with Kristian Nairn, Finn Jones, and more!
- The night’s main event: Kristian Nairn’s world famous Rave of Thrones!
Not only will the cast of Game of Thrones be there, so will we! Stop by the Watchers on the Wall booth, and introduce yourself, we’d love to meet you. We’ll be selling t-shirts there, from our recently opened shop.

Is another dead character appearing in Game of Thrones season 6?
There’s been an intriguing former cast member sighting in Peñíscola during this week’s Game of Thrones filming, and progress in general offering us a glimpse at the season to come.
In locations news, Game of Thrones will be moving to the Almería province starting October 10th. Production members arrived in August to begin building sets in this remote area. A few new images show us the progress made on the set in El Chorrillo, Sierra Alhamilla many have theorized to be Dothraki huts- a potential Vaes Dothrak in the making.
Melanie Liburd’s Game of Thrones role confirmed and more season 6 spoilers
We have new information about Game of Thrones filming in Peñíscola, Spain today, courtesy of an extensive report from Los Siete Reinos.
The report brings us new photos of season 6 scenes being filmed, but the most exciting piece of information is that L7R’s cameras have captured a scene filming new cast member Melanie Liburd. The actress is performing a scene as a red priestess, confirming her role in season 6.

Peñíscola filming today of Game of Thrones season 6 moves to the Plaza Santa Maria, where we’ve seen sets and props being constructed and laid out for the past few days. Peter Dinklage and Conleth Hill have been spotted on set, in costume as Tyrion and Varys. We also have a new casting notice that provide some hints at season 6.
