Game of Thrones takes home one SAG Award

Awards season continues, and Game of Thrones picked up another trophy tonight at the 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. Several members of the cast came out to celebrate and cheer on the show as it competed it three categories, including:

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series- Peter Dinklage
Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series
Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Game of Thrones ultimately won for their Stunt Ensemble’s work. The stunt team has won this award every year since 2012.

First Look at “The Lost Lords,” episode 2 of Telltale’s Game of Thrones series

Rejoice, gamers and general Game of Thrones fans. The first episode of S5 may be 80 days away (check out our fancy countdown clock if you haven’t yet), but the second episode of the Telltale Games take on Thrones will be out on February 2 on PC/Mac and PS, and within two further days on all supported platforms. Sources report: Jodhi May joins the cast of Game of Thrones

Jodhi MayThere’s been a great deal of excitement in the Game of Thrones fan world over the show finally including flashbacks. With the casting of Nell Williams as young Cersei, viewers are now able to put a face to one of the flashback characters and with information from WatchersOnTheWall sources, we’re able to fill out the rest of the scene.

Our sources have told us that English actress Jodhi May will be playing the role of Maggy the Frog in season 5.

Maggy the Frog is a mysterious figure whose brief presence in young Cersei’s life makes a long-lasting impression.

In addition, we can also confirm through our sources another actress who will be joining May and Williams in the flashback sequence.

New “Making Game of Thrones” blog post, and some Season 5 speculation

Dave Hill, new screenwriter for Game of Thrones Season 5, has shared another Making Game of Thrones blog post. This one, entitled “Shivering for the Shot”, offers us a tiny insight into the gruelling task of waiting for natural lighting conditions to allow the perfect shot.

Day 77: From the bottom of a quarry, our VFX supervisor looks up at the ridge above us and shakes his head. As we all shiver in 4°C shadow, he’s praying the sun won’t rise over the ridge and bathe us in its loving warmth. Because we have some serious VFX elements in this scene and shadows are much easier to match than light. For VFX, hell isn’t other people – it’s the sunlight on their faces.

New details about Game of Thrones Season 5 Special and promo video released!

A few weeks ago, you heard it here first at WatchersOnTheWall that HBO would be airing a special featurette entitled Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life on February 8th at 7:30PM. Now, thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have more details about the season 5 behind-the-scenes documentary.

According to EW, the featurette is a half-hour long, and “covers one day of season 5 production on three different Thrones sets in three different countries – Belfast, Northern Ireland; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Sevilla and Osuna, Spain.”
