Now that the buzz of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con has calmed down somewhat, the cast and crew of Game of Thrones are returning to Belfast to begin filming season 6.
After recently confirming beyond all doubt that Bran will return to our screens in season 6, Isaac Hempstead-Wright also confirmed via Twitter that he is back in Belfast and ready for filming.
Oh Belfast, it’s good to be back. #GOT

The night is dark and full of comic con’s with very little information of substance while writers, cast and crew avoid questions regarding the future of the best hair in Westeros.
Welcome to the off-season.
On that happy note and before casting and filming news gets hot and heavy, let’s kill some characters time, shall we?
The immediate lack of significant news gives us an opportunity to poll you Ladies and Sers and gives you an opportunity to submit feedback on your wonderful corner of Internet bliss and how the team might improve it. More news? More features? Site T-shirts? WotW Coffee Mugs? Or is everything good as is?
Let your little fingers be heard. Read the rules and type loudly…
Mackevision has released a video on Vimeo detailing the extensive work that the Visual Effects (VFX) department puts into Game of Thrones. The video follows the before and after of various sets including Braavos, The Sept of Baelor, and King’s Landing!
Check out the video after the cut!
Greetings all ye fair Lady and Gent Crows of the Great Wall of Internet Ice and Rock. A Man is elated that you are frequenting us even through the lonely off-season.
In the mood for more interviews? Good.
This round-up includes bits from Isaac Hempstead-Wright, Sophie Turner, and the Jolly Man himself…
As expected, we are seeing more Game of Thrones interviews and small clues about the Season 6 schedule coming out as a result of Comic Con, including interviews from TV Guide, Entertainment Weekly, Access Hollywood and ToplessRobot.com. Most of these are fun, short videos where we get to hear from some of the actors that we don’t get to hear from too often.

With the start of filming for Game of Thrones season 6 fast approaching, Making Game of Thrones has published a short interview feature in the post-San Diego Comic-Con hype.
After the panel discussion at Comic-Con, the cast members opened up to MGoT about envying other actors/actresses their scenes, and gave some small teases about season 6. Although some had not read the scripts yet, others gave away some fruity details.
Conleth Hill kept it short and sweet, describing his season 6 material as simply “amazing”. He also mentioned that as much as he enjoys his own scenes, he also loves watching everyone else:
According to one of our sources, filming is (or soon will be) underway for Game of Thrones season 6 at Tollymore Forest Park in Co. Down, Northern Ireland.
We already knew that filming was expected to begin for the upcoming season around mid-July, so this news would seem to fit in with that report.
Following Conan’s 2015 San Diego Comic Con lineup, the cast of Game of Thrones was featured last night!
Highlights include: Maisie ensuring Arya stays alive (by bribery), a prank on Alfie Allen by David Benioff and Dan Weiss, and more!
Game of Thrones kicks off its San Diego Comic Con panel by showing just how culturally influential our favorite show is with respect to other shows currently on air. The cast was pretty tight lipped about Season 6 as it’s all very under wraps before filming begins late July. However, it’s still rather clear the cast and crew are very close with one another and even took the time to do a Q&A with the audience.
