Introducing A Feast With Dragons: A New Combined Reading Order

For the past two months, Game Of Owns and the listeners of the podcast have wrestled with a question: where do we go from here?

With the completion of the A Storm of Swords read-through, it was time to venture forth into new territory. But it wasn’t so simple as just picking up A Feast for Crows, book four in George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series. For fans of the series, there is also the question of how to read- following the expected method of one book after the other, or to embrace the popular new way, reordering the chapters of Martin’s novels so the story takes on fresh life.

Readers have debated the merits of both styles, and the folks at Game Of Owns came together with a few friends to answer the question.

Game Of Owns will proceed with a combined reading order for the podcasts ahead, with an entirely new chapter arrangement created by a team of fans taking everything into account including chronology, spoiler issues, the weather and overarching themes.

Tamer Hassan on his new role and filming Game of Thrones season 6

Tamer HassanNew season 6 cast member Tamer Hassan talks to UK’s Loaded magazine this week about his role on Game of Thrones, giving us a glimpse of his character’s fate and more. The actor’s casting on the show was revealed only a week ago and little is known about his specific part on Game of Thrones.

The British actor explains to Loaded that he plays a Dothraki warrior, “a leader,” according to Hassan. “What I do affects the main characters. Really. It’s massive.”

Hassan filmed in Northern Ireland, and it was his “most challenging role to date.” The shoot was cold and not particularly glamorous and he remarks on the show’s unusual process of withholding complete scripts.

“You get your page of lines and that is all you see. You have no idea of the script and no idea what’s going on and that is what is really magical about it.”

Plot spoiler below the cut!

Maisie Williams on Jon Snow: “It’s a great twist”

MaisieMaisie Williams had a great night at the London Film Critics’ Circle Awards this weekend, hitting the red carpet and accepting the award for Young British Performer of the Year for her role in The Falling.

At the awards, the actress chatted with reporters and teased Game of Thrones season 6.

While speaking with The Upcoming, Williams discussed the difference between filming Doctor Who and Game of Thrones, her role on the scifi show, her experience playing Lydia in The Falling and of course Game of Thrones.

On last year’s storyline, the actress agrees somewhat with fans who were wondering, “Why am I still sweeping floors?” through the early part of season 5’s Arya story. “But it kind of all builds up to the betrayal, and the kill ultimately which was so much fun to do.” The season ended with Arya being blinded by the Faceless Men who had taken her into the House of Black and White to learn their assassin ways.

As for the question every cast member gets asked these days, Maisie says about Jon Snow’s potential return that, “I feel so mean because I speak to people and they’re all like ‘Jon Snow, is he back?’ and it’s like really heartbreaking because people are like ‘yeah, but he’s coming back though?’ It’s a great twist but I can’t say he’s going to be alive.”
