Filming of Game of Thrones’ “Walk” dissected, and Littlefinger returns

littlefinger

This is a spoiler-ridden post. Unsullied, be warned.

After some previous unconfirmed reports, it is now quite clear that Littlefinger will return to King’s Landing in Game of Thrones season 5. From a book reader’s perspective, this introduces a whole host of speculation into the fold, as Baelish was still very much in the Vale when he was last seen in A Feast for Crows.

Aidan Gillen was photographed by some fans in Dubrovnik last week. While the context of his scene(s) is unknown, he was very much present in the city specifically for filming as Littlefinger, as evidenced by the picture above.

Massive spoilers for a key scene below the cut.

Watchers on the Wall Awards: Best Supporting Actor

awards-1024x5621

Best Supporting Actor is my most and least favorite category to vote on, due to the sheer number of strong performances from Game of Thrones actors. They’re a pleasure to watch, and five seems almost like too small a number to be recognizing as finalists.

But here we are, in the final round, and a winner must be chosen. The preliminary round was brutal, with cast members who had great seasons such as Jerome Flynn, John Bradley, and Aidan Gillen just missing the cut.

Filming for Game of Thrones season 5 in Croatia is finally winding down. After an intensive two weeks of shooting King’s Landing scenes in Dubrovnik, the production team is currently at work in Villa Sheherezade.
