  9. After rewatching some season 5 episodes, I got the feeling there is heavy foreshadowing in some scenes. Just two mention two quotes:

    Why is Melisandre undressing?
    This is what she told Jon Snow when trying to seduce him in S05E04:

    “There’s only one war. Life against death. […] The Lord of Light made us male and female. Two parts of a greater whole. […] In our joining there is power. The power to make life. Power to make light. And the power to cast shadows…”

    So this could be a hint that she will try to use the power of sexuality to create some life-spending magic.

    Is Jon Snow dead and gone forever, as we’ve been told again and again?
    Remember the offer Stannis made to Jon just before his election as Lord Commander of the NW in S05E05:

    “Kneel before me. Lay your sword at my feet. Pledge me your service and you’ll rise again as Jon Stark, Lord of Winterfell.”

    So this might be how he will come back after the dead of Jon Snow of the NW: as Jon STARK, soon to be the new Lord of Winterfell.

  15. Last night I had a dream I missed the premiere and could not watch it for a few days so I could not get on this website for a while!
    It was traumatic.
    I think it is because all I think about is this damn premiere, and yesterday I messed the Vikings finale (no spoilers pleaseeeeeeeee) so I missed the two up in my dream ! LOL

    We thought she just wanted shadow baby but what if the “power in their joining” meant something else? Her saying “two parts of a greater whole” could point towards different intentions than was her goal with Stannis. She used sex with Stannis to create something that would kill her Lord’s chosen’s enemy, and it worked even though he really wasn’t the Lord’s chosen. (odd that she went through pregnancy and birthing that monstrosity only to kill off one little brother.)What would a joining with the real one produce? But they sure didn’t make clear that she switched her allegiance over to him, as she still had Shireen sacrificed and left castle black with Stannis.

  28. I’m so pumped for Jon to meet/reunite with anyone other than Wildlings or Nights Watchmen.

    Him reuniting with his two closest (living) family members seems the most unrealistic, yet the most moving. Arya & Bran

    I don’t think they interacted in the novels, but Jon’s exchange with Jaime was awesome in S1 so for them to meet again would be UNREAL.

    Jon and Tyrion reuniting would be UNREAL but who knows if Dany ever decides to make the trip West.

    And of course, Jon & Sansa.. “Lets Hug it out Bitch”

  41. Yes, reunions…those will be great. Some happy, some not so happy.
    Never thought about Bran taking revenge on the Lannister twins, because if he hadn’t fallen, he would not be the Seer who will help save the world.

    Wondering if Jorah’s grey scale is going to be anything else but a plot device (that is, he’s dying anyway, so might as well do-something-brave-and-make-your-death-count sort of thing)

  42. Well, you guys asked for the top 5 UNexpected deaths. So most of us just skipped over the obvious choices and listed the ones we could see dying, but don’t necessarily expect to. Hence the weird results.

  43. Is anybody more familiar with Midroll than I am (not at all)?

    I’m all for GOO expanding and things being made easier for our hosts, but without knowing more, this slightly reminds me of the Fansided debacle with WiC.

    Somebody ease my fears.

    It’s a few days old. That particular summary is the one that HBO finally put up on their official schedule. It hasn’t been seen anywhere else.

    There have been like three different versions of the Episode 1 summary. This one’s different from the one HBO sent out via press release, and the one that some people are seeing on their cable schedule is different from both of these. WOTW made a joke about it on Twitter a few days ago.

    No concerns with Midroll. They are the #1 podcast advertising agency (work directly with shows greater and larger than ours) and have a sterling track record. GOO has not been sold. For 321 episodes we avoided advertising, the business never matched our dedication to the work — meaning no one was willing to work hard enough for GOO to integrate advertising well or dependably. And we tried. Podcasts have ads. It wasn’t a moral decision it was to protect the show from being involved with laziness and disinterest. Midroll is the best, and they have been working hard for our little show. Like Micah said, the ads will be painless. After 300+ episodes it’s time we give it a shot. Thank you for caring John, and for sticking around through the years. And for everyone that helped us making such a fun episode, we nearly celebrated after finishing the record.

  57. Jon Snow was already dead, so it make sense nobody voted he died. Unless anyone was expecting him to resurrect and die again within the season, a la Beric Dondarrion.
