We’ve made it here so soon. Game of Thrones season 6 will finish this Sunday, and many questions remain. Tomorrow, a podcast meets one final time before the finale.
After the cut, you’ll find three questions we’ve asked ourselves and will be disputing as the show records. Let’s get into this.
Listen to “Battle of the Bastards” here.
What do you believe?
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
For good measure..
Who will die in the finale?
That’s it. Let us know what and why in the comments below! Make sure to listen for your thoughts, theories, and input once this episode is released.
Wun Wun!
1. The trail will never happen.
2. The North will unite behind Jon Snow, but Littlefinger will be scheming in the background.
3. Frey will die. The real question is whether the Lannister Army goes North or South….
4. Who will die? Not sure…. But at least 4 deaths of significant characters is my guess.
Bonus Questions – How sad are you that there are only 14 episodes left of GoT??
I think the more pertinent question is how long until Yara betrays Dany? If not Yara, how long before the Iron Born betray Yara? I’d love to see the conversation with Yara telling the Iron Born they can’t do what Iron Born do anymore lol.
1 – cersi will be so pissed with her son she’ll admit he’s a bastard and he will be destroyed emotionally and kill himself. Then go on a rampage
2 – karstark will come back and plee and apologise (they didn’t seem to fight in battle) also hell give the umber land to wildlings and Bolton land too? Little finger?
3 – they’ll have a pleasant meal them walder will gloat about red wedding and Jamie will feel remorse and hopefully butcher them all. (Also bc the remaining tullys are better puppets than Freys in tl)….Just in time for the brothers without banners to come and take him captive “again”?
4 – tommen. Lancel. Half of kings landing? The entire Frey name. Some Tyrells.
Who will die?
I predict:
Freyzzz (no other reason to b in the season)
BwB (dunno why else they appeared too)
Loras
Kevan
Pycelle (cant wait!)
HS & lotsa FMs
Tommen
I hope:
Frey – hope its slow, painful, while hes enjoying himself – hope it’s Needle or Nymeria that do it
LF – dnt think the treacherous scumbag has much to offer story-wise
JAIME! (about time!) – again hope its Needle or Nymeria – explained in other thread why…
Tommen – feel bad for wishing it on him….but its abt time these illegitimate lannisters get out of the way…
Gregor Clegane – dumb zombie is still one of worst criminal oppressors whose inflicted more pain than any1 in 7 kingdoms and beyond – make it slow! (Just dreaming … they keeping him)
(I hope Cersei lives till nxt season…so she meets Daenerys… and Drogons breath)
1. There will be no trial, Cersei is going to burn baby burn.
2. Not sure what’s going to happen with Winterfell long term, but my immediate guess would be LF tries to marry Sansa and become lord of winterfell and warden of the north through her.
3. “The Red Divorce”??? I’m expecting some BwB along with the Hound action. Probably a mass slaughter, wondering if Brienne and Pod will be involved as well.
4. Death predictions… Cersei, and (hoping against hope it doesn’t happen but I’m afraid) Jaime. </3
Lancel…. KEVIN… Pycelle.
1- burn them all. Or at least a bunch of them.
2- still got a lot of work to be done. Reconciling some houses, ending others, settling wildlings, marriage alliances, provisioning for the long winter, preparing for the WW, trying to avoid getting got by Littlefinger, etc.
3 – Frey pie ( pretty please,GoT)
Bonus – High Sparrow, Tommen, Walder Frey, Karstark (if he’s still alive), Lanna Stark (via flashback), maybe Melisandre or (gods forbid) Davos.
The Bastard,
Too sad for words 🙁
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Kevan and Pycelle are going to get stabbed by Qyburn’s little birds and then Cersei is going to lock everyone else in the Sept and burn it down. The question mark for me is : will Marg and Tommen burn too? Not sure!
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Jon will confront Sansa about her lies, and then he will be crowned King in the North by the crowd and everyone will feast. A few minutes later we’ll see Bran’s last vision and the Wall coming down! Since Winterfell is the first big city close to the Wall, the feast won’t last long!
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
I think there will be a special guest. I’m not sure if it’s Arya (stabbing Walder) or the Hound and the Brotherhood attacking the Twins!
Who will die in the finale?
– Walder Frey
– The High Sparrow
– Septa Unella
– Loras
– Kevan
– Pycelle
Likely :
– Benjen
– Tommen
– Marg
– Mel
1. I think Cersei will send out the “BTA!” bat-signal to Qyburn during the trial, who will set off the green glo-sticks of death, take down the Sept, and crush Tommen and (hopefully) the High Smirkton.
2. Jon will forgive Sansa, Davos will forgive the Red Woman, and Old Nan will have sewn back on her skin and resume her day’s work in Winterfell. Littlefinger will visit the place where Ramsay’s men nearly re-captured Sansa, and choke on a pretzel.
3. Arya will be in the dining hall (via a fast ship and a shortcut through the Three Sisters) wearing a Frey face and serving soup. There will be blood.
4. Folks are gonna die like blades of grass in a lawn mower.
The trial: I believe Cersei will burn the city with wildfire. (Remember Danys vision being in the throne room, the castle destroyed and it’s snowing.) I think Cersei could die.
The North: Littlefinger expects Sansa to marry him now. Jon will bring the northern houses together.
Walder Frey: Jaime could be in trouble here.
Who will die: see above. But there could be more. Melissandre is in trouble with Ser Davos because of Shireen. The Red Woman could meet her end.
3. Brienne and Pod will get captured by the Frey’s. Jaime will have to make a choice.
I’m thinking Walder will order B&P’s death for helping the enemy. Jaime will (perhaps) kill Walder for it. Maybe an all out fight between The Lannisters and The Frey’s, maybe something on a smaller scale. Pod’s training from Bronn will help him put up a decent fight, but he will get killed in the process (maybe). Jaime will survive. Brienne will die in Jaime’s arms.
If Pod lives, he will be Jaime’s new squire. Which would make him the most popular squire in Westeros.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
I think the sept is going to go boom, there’s been too much mention of wildfire this season, and Cersei’s constant desire to “burn cities to the ground”. I don’t know how many principle casualties there are, but Tommen and the High Sparrow are at the top of my dirt nap list.
.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
I have no clue. Start to prepare for the White Walkers? Maybe Bran and Meera make it to the Wall?
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Walter’s gotta die. No reason to bring him back otherwise. Plus, they’ve got a recent history of bringing back characters from seasons past only to kill them off moments or a few eps later. I hope Jaime’s the one to do it. The Frey’s are due for a taste of their own medicine.
For good measure..
Who will die in the finale?
Tommen, The High Sparrow, a few small council members, lots of sept of Baelor redshirts, Walder Frey, and hopefully all of his mongoloid children and their stupid hats.
1) Cersei will burn down the Sept with wildfire. There will lots of collateral damage, including Tommen.
2) Sansa will be the new Lady of Winterfell and Wardeness of the North. I think she might turn on LF and expose his nefarious deeds to the Lords of the Vale.
3) I don’t think Walder Frey will get his final comeuppance in the finale. I think that scene may have more significance for Jamie going forward.
1. Loras has his trial go first, he forsakes his name and titles and is allowed to leave and repent. But when it comes time for Cersei’s trial she decides to burn down the sept instead killing the Tyrells and possibly the High Sparrow. Tommen kills himself in anguish.
2. Jon and Sansa discuss the fact she lied to him and they promise never to keep things from each other again. Davos demands that Jon kill Melisandre, I can see either one dying here but I’m going to go against my judgement and go with my heart saying that Melisandre is killed by an enraged Davos which forces Jon to tearfully lock up Davos in the dungeons. Littlefinger tries to force himself onto Sansa but Jon and Ghost intervene. To save his life Littlefinger reveals to Jon the truth about his heritage and leads them to the crypts where they find the cloak buried with Lyanna revealing she married Rhaegar. At some point during all of this (probably before Mel v Davos) a whole bunch of Northern Lords arrive at Winterfell. Lyanna Mormont gives a huge speech calling the great Northern Lords cowards who betrayed the Starks in their hour of need. The first one to stand up is Lord Manderly who reaffirms the life-long debt his family owes the Starks and he kneels before Jon declaring that he will never turn his back to the Starks again not caring whether or not Jon is a Snow. This will be followed by Lord Glover admitting his mistake, and soon all the Northern Lords pledge their loyalty to Jon Snow.
3. Walder, Lothar, and Black Walder gonna die son! Arya is going to poison the pies and Jaime will be spared only by his refusal to eat the pies. Lord Frey and many Frey and Lannister men choke to death and die as Arya is seen discretely leaving the scene with a grin on her face. I sorely wished the Brotherhood without Banners or Nymeria’s wolfpack could be involved but I can’t reasonably assume that.
4. Margaery, Loras, Tommen, Walder, Black Walder, Lothar, Septa Unella, High Sparrow, and Melisandre
I feel like the best thing to do right now would be to get rid of Littlefinger. He’s in a really good position to take Winterfell and we all know he wants Sansa as well as the North. I fear for Jon and his companions if he gets his way. Hopefully Sansa’s smart about this and gets rid of him. She knows all of Littlefinger’s dirt (Jon and Lysa Arryn’s death) and could easily turn the Vale against him if she wanted to.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Wildfire. The Bloody Queen Mother destroys the Sept of Baelor. Little birds and/or sand snakes kill the Small Council, courtesy of a spider, or a disgraced maester.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Reckoning. Winterfell gets fixed and reinforced. Some Northern houses will fall and disappeared. Jon and Sansa confront each other’s trust issues. Melisandre gets banished. Lord Baelish proposes to Sansa under the weirwood. She becomes not just Queen of the North, but the Riverlands and the Vale, if she does. (Then she can feed Littlefinger to the hounds or push him out the moon door). Brienne and Pod arrives. A white raven arrives. Winter is coming.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins? Old Gods, I hope so. Jaime Lannister will turn on the Freys? Or, Arya the Faceless girl poisons the clan and saves Needle for Walder’s neck?
Who will die in the finale?
1. King Tommen the Unready
2. Grand Maester Pycelle
3. Uncle Kevan Lannister
4. The High Sparrow
5. The poor and pious of King’s Landing
6. Loras Tyrell
7. Lyanna Stark
Maybes…
1. Margaery Tyrell (I hope not)
2. Qyburn
3. The Mountain
4. Cersie Lannister
5. Melisandre (but isn’t she supposed to meet Arya once again, prophecy, so maybe not).
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Cersei will “burn them all”… with wildfire, as Tyrion kindly confirmed us in the last episode. 😉
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
I presume Sansa is the new Lady of Winterfell and maybe Littlefinger will make a marriage proposal to her, who knows… surely not Jon, he knows nothing! 😀
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Villains seem to be victims of Karma in this season. Roose Bolton was stabbed by Ramsay in the very same way he stabbed Robb… And Ramsay became dog food, just like many of his victims. So I think Walder won’t digest his dinner well… 😉
Who will die in the finale?
Many people in King’s Landing and one or more Freys at the Twins…
Boy that would really spoil the moment for me. It wouldn’t be revenge…nor justice…Jaime’s killing Walder would just make it a part of a brand new little conflict of Lannisters vs Freys…i really would b dissappointed if that happens.
^thats besides the point of me just hating Jaime since S1’s irrepairable damage hes done!
Ramsays killing of Roose was similar for me – they tried to have it mirror Rooses stabbing of Rob … but it was too quick and painless. And in reality only for Ramsays good at the time.
I want Arya to cut Walders tongue out!!
All this hype for Frey justice better not dissappoint.
I could see most of the King’s Landing characters being killed in the finale:
– Assuming Cercei will refuse to show up for her own trial and become the Mad Queen instead, I guess she will burn down (at least) the Sept of Baelor with everyone inside during or shortly after Loras Tyrell’s trial – thus killing the High Sparrow, Septa Unella, Loras and probably Maes.
– Tommen and Margaery could be there, too, but I can’t see Cercei knowingly kill her last living child. I think Tommen won’t make it to the next season either, but maybe he does not die in the fire (being killed by the Sand Snakes or Varys) or sacrifices himself to save Margaery.
– Margaery will probably get out alive. Otherwise the last living member of House Tyrell would be the Queen of Thornes and that would seem a bit odd.
– Lancel will go to get Cercei, when she does not show up for her trial and will probably be killed by the Mountain.
– Pycelle and Kevan will remain in the Red Keep and be killed by the Little Birds. There is a scene in one of the trailers where you can see them stabbing someone. Depending on their loyalty they could also turn against Qyburn.
– The only King’s Landing characters, who will survive this season will be Cercei, the Mountain, probably Qyburn and Margaery.
As for the other storylines:
– In the North: Maybe Edd (if the Wall falls), maybe Lord Karstark (if he survived the battle) and maybe even Littlefinger (though very unlikely).
– In the Riverlands: The scene with Jaime and the Freys celebrating their victory is a bit suspicious. I originally thought this would become a second Red Wedding with Arya and the BwB slaughtering all the Freys and the Lannister soldiers. But with LSH not being included, the Blackfish dead, the BwB and the Hound going North and Arya not making it there fast enough to catch up with the BwB, plan and organise a revenge plot and kill everyone present in only one episode, I’m curious what will happen there. Maybe Arya sneaks into the Twins and murders only Walder (she can’t kill them all by herself), maybe the Lannisters turn against the Freys (but why should they?)… either way, something big will happen there. But I’m 90% sure that Jaime will survive the season finale.
1) I think the obvious thing here, just from Brans vision and all the hints here all season, is the trial doesnt happen, or does happen and she escapes to blow the place up. Either way, the place is getting blown up, that I am almost certain of.
2) Some wild twist happens and we find out Jons parentage, in some unusual twist where a ton of people are there from all the Northern Houses, Howland Reed just happens to be there as well to confirm the story. Jon is the new boss, everyone bends the knee… Ser Arthur Daynes comment of “I wish you luck in the wars to come; this is where is begins” now finally make sense.
3) Bloodshed. Maybe nothing. But probably bloodshed, just not sure by who.
It looks like Loras is ready to take the Walk … will Loras and Queen Mags make it out before things get hot at the Sept?
Cersei won’t show up, she will watch from the Red Keep (where she _thinks_ she will be safe.
We shall see…
Winterfell – Sansa will become Warden of the North- I like the idea of Tormund getting the Umber lands — they still have kin though so I think he should get The Dreafort and burn that evil place to the ground 🙂
Littlefinger will want too much, my money is on Sansa (ick).
Jon and Sansa have to talk about her not telling him about The Vale.
Mellie gets off on a technicality – the blame belongs to Stannis, but maybe is sent away ( she has a date with Arya).
There is a funeral for the last giant Wun Wun and we all cry.
The Twins
The Red Wedding Pt 2
That dinner scene has ambush and revenge written all over it. Maybe Arya is involved, maybe the BWB + Sandor, maybe all of them.
Death pool:
Walder Frey and sons
Kevan
Pycelle
Tommen
High Sparrow
Septa Unella
Lancel
Loras
Mags –75% I just don’t want her to die..
Cersei — 20% she needs to meet Dany and her dragons and see the White Walkers descend on Kings Landing.
Jaime – 15% he has things to do yet.
I can’t wait!!!!
1) Cersi will burn the sept down with the High Sparrow and his followers inside. HS, lancel, marge, and Tommen likley will perish.
2) Mel will be banished by Jon and Davos for the murder of Shareen. LF will want to marry Sansa to become warden of the north. Sansa will have to explain herself to J regarding LF’s involvement and the knights of the vale. The wildlings will be given more land in the north, likely the Boltons and the Umbers.
3) The Freys will pay for the betrayals and incompetence. This will be done by the Lannisters, BwoB, or Arya.
4) Who will die:
The high sparrow
Lancel
Tommen
Margery
Kevan
Pycelle
Walder Frey
Frey family members.
1. It’s almost clear that Cersei will burn King’s Landing to the ground, however, she doesn’t mean to, but she’s an idiot. She’ll most likely kill some major players like Tommen, Loras, Margarey. It’s almost obvious this happens because of the vision Bran had with the Wildfyre exploding in the crypts. If you also refer back to
hopefully because I enjoy the Jaime book version so much more compared to this season’s portrayal of him.
2. In Winterfell I think the people will want Jon as their “King” or “Warden”.. He was already spoken so highly by Ramsay on what the North is saying about him. And now this Victory and his incredible bravery, yet stupidity considering their “Game-plan”, but I would’ve raced towards my brother as well to save him. Ramsay is a sick SOB lol. I’m hoping that he demands the lords of the North to Winterfell to swear fealty and unite it once again. Eventually I’d like to see Davos and Tormund given lands of the now extinct Umbers, Karstarks, or Boltons. Tormund at the Last Hearth and Davos at Karhold.. woot. Considering Sansa though I’m still confused. I really do believe she loves her family and knows it’s really all she has, but is such a solo player atm she’s hard to read. I’m hoping she is LittleFingers downfall because LF may love her, but shes a pawn to him. If he marries her he’s the official Warden of the North as Bran hasn’t arrived yet. And with Jon being the legend he is now.. He’ll try to remove him somehow. I’m hoping she tells Royce and Robyn that it was LF that killed Lysa and ultimately leads to his death from moondoor haha. He may have saved them and sansa used him for it, but he’s an evil character that must be removed from the game in order for Westeros to unite.. and we only have a few evil players left. Walder Frey, Cersei, Euron, LF.
3. I hope it ends badly for the Frey’s… I don’t see Jaime planning any kind of coo without anything happening which nothing has yet. However, I do believe that Walder Frey will murder Edmure when Jaime had specifically given him his word of honor that he and his child would be safe. If this happens I do see Jaime having his men murder all the Frey’s and it being justice for not just edmure, but for the dishonor and murders towards the Stark guests. This will give the Lannisters full control over a new and large territory as well. I think Jaime will be an obvious ally to Jon and Dany when the real war happens, but he won’t live at the end.
4. Who dies… tons of people in Kings Landing lol. Hard to say what major characters though. I’m hoping all the Freys. I don’t think Jon will kill Melissandre, but it is possible he banishes her.. I mean she did save his life. And hopefully Littlefinger.
Kill Cersei, Littlefinger, and the Freys… removes all but 1 evil player before the connections between characters are there to unify Westeros finally for the real war. Also I had originally thought the Wall would come down this finale, but there’s too much unification needed still. If it did.. the entirety of Westeros would be destroyed and turned before Dany got there and she’d be SOL as well.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Cersei is going to cook up a nice bonfire.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
I will finally find out the fate of Lord Karstark, of course! 😛
The Kit in the North will happen hopefully.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Yes. It will be…..A Feast for Crows… 😛
4. Who will die in the finale?
Freys, Tyrells, Sparrows
1. Cersei will burn down the high sept, if not other parts of KL. Too much talk of wildfire this season for it not to happen.
2. I think Jon will be named KITN and some event(s) will separate Jon and Sansa geographically if not emotionally. Maybe Bran makes it to Winterfell, but the wall seems more likely.
3. Arya or Manderly will kill Walder Frey and co. Not sure what role Jamie plays in all this.
4. Tommen, HS, Walder Frey and co, multiple Tyrells and someone else. Maybe Benjen?
Who will die?
– King Tommen Baratheon (100%)
– The High Sparrow (100%)
– Septa Unella (100%)
– Lancel Lannister (100%)
– Kevan Lannister (100%)
– Grand Maester Pycelle (100%)
– Maes Tyrell (90%)
– Loras Tyrell (80%)
– Margaery Tyrell (50%)
– Walder Frey and family (50%)
– Qyburn (40%)
– Dolorous Edd (10%)
– Jamie Lannister (10%)
– Cercei Lannister (5%)
– Davos Seaworth (5%)
– Brienne of Tarth (5%)
– Podrick Payne (5%)
– Littlefinger (5%)
If you count the deaths shown in visions: Lyanna Stark (100%) and the Mad King (90%)
Everyone else should be safe.
I think there will be a meeting of the remaining Northern Lords featuring:
– Lyanna Mormont
– Robett Glover
– Harald Karstark (if he is still alive)
– Wyman Manderly
– the young Lord Cerwyn
– and possibly… Howland Reed! 🙂
1. Cersei will likely set the place on fire. They keep foreshadowing this throughout the season. I think it she will indirectly kill Tommen as a result.
2. We will see the exact number of casualties. Melisandre will be ordered to leave, I just don’t see Jon killing her. I hope two things especially happen: Jon confronts Sansa on why the hell she kept the Vale a secret from the start (hey I’m still bummed out Wun Wun had to die) and we find out what happened to Harald Karstark. I don’t see him being a threat on his own but some form of closure would be nice.
3. I want to see it end horribly! But Jaime had stayed true to his mission so far, I don’t see him going against it now unless something drastic happens. Maybe another guest will be the cause of a bad ending? I’ve been spoiled with paybacks this season and hope to get one more in!
Bonus question: Tommen, Loras, High Sparrow, Lyanna’s death on-screen finally if they do a Tower Of Joy follow up.
https://twitter.com/EddieEyre/status/745406330119258112
Eddie Eyre!
She can if she poisons the wine or food.
I’ll just stick with the Northern plot.
1. I hope for a scene and coherent explanation from Sansa as to why she withheld information from Jon and his army. I also hope that is not ignored with a simple shrug of the shoulders from Jon. I wonder if the kiss on the forehead we see in the previews is actually goodbye, and Sansa returns to the Vale. Personally, I think it is.
2. I want more info on Sansa. I don’t know what to think. Is she turning heel in front of us? I didn’t think so in the earlier parts of this season. Now? I don’t know. Do they want me to think that, and it’s clever foreshadowing? Or am I not supposed to think that and this is in fact strange writing? Don’t know. Hope for more info.
Grayven Reyne,
Your answers are my favourite?
Question answers:
1.) I think the only trial we see will be for the Knight of Flowers. I think he confesses and wants to join the Faith Militant. I don’t think we see Cersei’s trial this week. With Jaime at Walder’s house, I don’t think the showrunners do her trial without him there.
2.) The Starks didn’t win. LF won. I think LF turns this around on Sansa that she owes him. He’s a master manipulator and I think she eats it up.
3.) Dinner could go so many ways. I would love for the BwB to show up, but there are two huge armies(Frey and Lannister)there so I don’t think that will happen. Outside chance of Arya showing up though and killing Walder in his chambers.
Bonus question: I think Qyburn’s Qandy Qorner Qids meet up with their former employer. One of them hinted earlier in the season that they like him a lot and someone dies. My guess would be Qyburn and Kevan. At least that is my hope.
What is Cersei going to burn the whole place down? Where will she go? Will Margaery survive? The Mountain? Will they all die?
Jack Bauer 24,
“Where will Cercei go?”
Casterly Rock 😉
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Cersie will work it so Loras trial is first. Loras is found guilty and Tyrelles attack High Sparrow /Faith Militant and Tommen is somehow killed in the craziness. When Cersie realizes Tommen has died she loses her mind and tells Qyburn to “burn it all”. Pycelle and Kevan die in the fire, and we see Qyburn killed by the Little Birds (who still belong to Varys) . The Mountian saves Cersie , escaping KL and heading for Riverlands and Mace and Marge escape to Highgarden
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Jon and Sansa talk about having to trust each other because there are so many enemies ..The Northern lords at winterfell appear to be rallying around Jon and Sansa is not sure how she feels about that.. leading to her going to the Godswood where Littlefinger finds her. He overplays his hand, trying to get her to marry him and go against Jon and claim the North for herself (in other words: For Him)..She manages to get away and in an amazing moment gives her support to Jon as King in the North dashing all Littlefinger’s plans
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Jamie is going to go full Tywin mode and give the Singers a new song when he has his army kill the Freys and claims Twins for Lannisters , giving it (and whatever pretty Frey daughter is left) to Bronn
4. Who will die in the finale?
Tommen
Walder Frey (plus some)
Pycelle
Kevan
High Sparrow
Faith Militant (including Lancel)
I hope they still had a good amount of money left for the finale and the burning of KL is a spectacle.
Three things I want to see the most this finale are TOJ conclusion, NK and company at the Wall, and Dany and company leaving for Westeros.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
I think Loras will be tried and released with no further punishment. I don’t know if anything said at his trial will damage Cersei further but she will not go to her trial. Perhaps part of Margaery’s plan is to use her new position and standing to insert new implications against her, false and true. Maybe she feels she can take over KL and throws Tommen under the bus with her too. In any case, I think KL will be a cliffhanger with the “much more” being very close.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
I’m really clueless on this one now. Yeah, they’re home. Yeh! I can’t imagine them having to battle much more to keep it since the ‘Great War’ is coming fast. If feels more like they need to tidy up some loose ends and start consolidating as the Seven Kingdoms slowly begin to realize that what Jon has been telling them is true, the NK is real and hell is coming with him.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
In the preview when all are standing for Walder’s toast, right in front of his table, front and center is a very short, Arya sized person… Straw grasping? Maybe. Probably. Maisie did tease that she ‘may’ be in the season 6 trailers more than she appears to be. That same shot was shown in trailer #2 before the season.
Walder Frey has only made a few appearances; for Robb’s promise, the Red Wedding for breaking it, sending his sons to take back Riverrun with Edmure and now this, a celebration of that act. SOMEthing has to happen for it to be included in a finale.
The Brotherhood doesn’t have the manpower to do anything directly against the Lannisters and Freys. It doesn’t seem probable that any army in the north would make that kind of move at this time. The way I see it, it either has to be Jaime doing something… or indeed Badass Arya. If it’s Arya then Jaime is in danger as well. The things she knows about him are that her father despised him and that Jaime had him injured and killed the men of Winterfell.
Who will die in the finale?
Walder Frey – several Frey and Lannister men
Surprise possibily… Jaime and/or Bronn (that would piss off a lot of viewers eh)
Frankenmountain – overrun attempting to block access to Cersie
Qyburn, Kevan, Pycelle – maybe one, maybe all
I don’t think we’ll have any deaths in other locations. If something happens at the Wall it could just be a cliffhanger
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Cersei has some wildfire plot, so many could die, especially Tommen and hopefully the High-Holier-Than-Thou and a certain Septa.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Jon & Sansa have to get it together and deal with possible Littlefinger trouble. Bran has a vision involving Jon. Mel has some shit to deal with, but hoping she survives. Maybe she goes to riverrun to join up with Thoros… and Arya. Northern Lords react.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Here’s….Arya
Who will die in the finale?
So many, I dare not say…
1. No trial. Cersei sets the Sept of Baelor on fire. Many deaths. Chaos in the streets. And she will say, “burn them all.” Shame!
2. Jon has to unite the Northern lords behind him in anticipation of the WW approach. Karstark, Manderly, Glover and remaining Umbers (?) will have to swear loyalty to the new KINT. Jon will also have to deal with the fall-out between Davos and Mel. Sansa will be Lady of WF and will have to deal with Littlefinger. Sansa will not betray Jon.
3. Something is going down at the Twins and, whatever it is, I hope it results in a grisly death for Walder. The smug look on Jaime’s face in the trailer makes me think that he has something planned but…then again, he seems quite determined to get back to his crazy-pants sister. Another possibility is that Arya meets up with her old pals – the BWB and the Hound – and convinces them to stop by the Twins on their way north. If so, say bye-bye to lots of Freys.
4. There will be a big culling of the cast in the finale. In KL: Pycelle, Kevan, High Sparrow, Lancel, Unella, Margaery and Tommen. In the Riverlands: Walder Frey and Black Walder. In the North: not sure how it happens but I think that Mel will die.
Have no idea how Bran & Company are re-introduced or what role they play in moving this story forward…beyond the obvious reveal. Varys will show up in Dorne with Ellaria and Olenna. Dany will begin to plan her journey home. Have no idea if we will see Jorah or Sam again this season.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
I have a hard time imagining that Cersei will show up for another round of public humiliation. Though she might go in to make a statement and then leave with the Mountain blocking the door behind her. I want to believe Margery had a plan in place to save her brother because she is incredibly smart, and the HS had a great plan to turn Westeros into a booming barefoot theocracy, but all I keep seeing is wildfire.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
I actually think a lot will happen in Winterfell. Hopefully one of those things is Jon talking to his sister about honesty and family unity. From the preview Sansa also gets a chat with LF where he might go too far (and it’s him so he’ll probably know something he really shouldn’t and tell a story about it) and Davos gets a go at Mel. Tormund and his wildlings will be rewarded–Though they may decide to tear down Dreadfort just to really erase the Boltons from the map forever. Can you imagine the clean up? Just burn it down.
In the end-I believe-Jon, the humble resurrected bastard, will be King of Winter/King in the North and people will start getting behind him, even though he doesn’t expect or ask for it. I actually think Sansa might support it…you know, after she has those talks.
I would also like them to get unexpected company AND go down to the crypts–but that’s just my dream 🙂
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
I am sure it will, in fact, end horribly. This is the Frey’s last party. I don’t know if it will be Arya with that poison knowledge she now has or if they’ll cross a line and violence ensues or a surprise Manderly speech or BWB visit–but Walder will choke on his laughter and all his Rat Cook children will follow because somewhere, someone in the North Remembers.
I’m just hoping Jaime and Bronn get out in time. They have to-what are they even doing there? They should head north… 🙂
Additional stories
Bran will get to a weirwood and have more visions
Dorne will apparently have company (sigh-sandsnakes)
From the look on Dany’s face, Daario will be in trouble-then Dany and Tyrion will finally leave Mereen.
Are we not seeing Sam again? Wouldn’t it be nice if he ran into Gendry in Oldtown? 🙂
Still worried about Edd. I can’t even talk about the Wall right now-too nervous.
The Hound and Brienne 2.0? Or (wishing again) Pod accidentally rows them to the Neck and they bump into Greywater Watch. 🙂
Who will die in the finale?
Pycelle
Kevan
HS
Septa Unella
Faith Militant
Mace Tyrell
Loras Tyrell
Margery Tyrell
King Tommen
Daario? like 50-50
All the damn Freys
If Karstark made it out of the battle…
If I’m right it will be an interesting night
4 ) I don’t see many mentioning
Brienne and varys ..I have a feeling one of them will bite it ..
Other than that KL is going to take huge drop of characters..
Tommen
Kevan
Pycelle
high sparrow
Lancel
Septa unnela
Margery tyrell
Loras tyrell
More sparrows
Amd people of Kl
Sept of baelor ( those poor targs that are cremated there )
And I expect few Frey’s including walder as well to die
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Cersie will burn down the Sept. Killing the HS, and what remains of the Small Council. Tommen will jump from a window to escape the flames and die as a result. Jamie will come back next season and kill her for it. The fire will get out of hand and wreck a large portion of Kings Landing. Tyrion made a mention of the wildfire also being hidden under the major thoroughfares as well, so the fire could spread very quickly to The Red Keep. If Loras and Margery die, then Daenerys has another built in ally in the Tyrells when she shows up.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Jon will be named King in the North after the remaining Umbers (I think they had the letter) come to Jon and ask for forgiveness and produce his legitimacy degree from Rob. The rest of the North with the exception of the Karstarks well bend the knee to Jon. He will reluctantly except and then start to prepare for war with the White Walkers.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
More then likely a large force of Northerners will travel to the Twins to deal with the Frey’s and the 8000 Lannister troops that I assume are at the Twins.
I would love to see Arya show up and kill Walder at least. Maybe she uses her FM skills and poisons the wine he is toasting with in the Trailer? With the express boat travel that seems to be the norm in GoT, she could make it. It took two episodes for Theon and Yara to get from The Iron Islands to Meeren, even with a stop over in Volantis. So, she could make it to the Twins in time for the season final.
You didnt ask, but Varys is heading to Dorne. That is where Dany will land first. Even if Kings Landing is burnt to the ground, Dany would still have Dragonstone to rule from until the rebuild the Red Keep.
Jack Bauer 24,
Pretty sure this will all happen.
Is the blonde at 2 seconds in Margaery?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Cmk9ACwc7w
In King’s Landing, all men must die. Or most. Cersei lives for certain. Tommen dies for certain. Everyone else is up in the air. Perhaps literally. Loras looks like a certainty, too, but I’m hoping Margaery pulls a fast one. Thousands and thousands and thousands go up in wildfire, destroying the sept, the Red Keep, and almost the entire city.
In Winterfell, I am so freaking ready for a Jon moment. This better be TJETWP: The Jon-centric Episode That Was Promised. And we better get TPTWP. And that better not be Sansa. ToJ is a given. I believe Bran will make it South of the Wall and convince Jon he needs to be king to defeat the White Walkers.
In Twin Peaks, we’ll have lovely wedding festivities and all will be going swimmingly. Manderly will give a delightful speech, share some delicious, homemade meat pies, and thrill all with his merriment and delight. If there is mass carnage, we won’t know it until it is too late, and we probably won’t even recognize the perpetrator at all. Until she takes off her face.
1. The trial should be filled with plenty of light. Cersei is sure to have a roaring good time.
2. King/Queen of the North and reintroduction of the House Stark to the other Northern houses as a power.
3. It’ll end horribly for someone.
How will King’s Landing react to the Stark’s regaining Winterfell?
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Cersei won’t leave her room for the trial, and Tommen will somehow end up going to fetch her. Once her kid is safe she’ll blow up the sept and possibly more with wildfyre. If Tommen isn’t killed by The Mountain he’ll kill himself over grief of losing Margaery and his religion.
I think Varys will return to KL and kill Qyburn and Pycelle.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
This one I don’t feel so sure on! I do think Baelish will want Sansa to marry him, but I’m not sure if she’ll tell him to piss off or be too cynical to think she has any better options. I think she’ll continue to withhold all this inner turmoil from Jon, who will not want to be the Lord of Winterfell since he’s such a reluctant leader in general. Mellisandre will either be exiled or nothing will happen with her. She may head south and end up finding Arya again.
Other North: I think Bran will check out the rest of the ToJ and we’ll get the answer we’ve all been dying for!
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
I think our gal Arya will be there, possibly wearing a face, but possibly not since its been so long since people in Westeros have seen her. I think she’ll kill Walder Frey and a few others and cross some names off her list. Jaime will flee for KL and not realize what he’s returning to. Or he’ll dip out of the feast to head back for Cersei’s trial but not make it in time/ narrowly miss Arya’s killing.
Who will die in the finale?
Walder Frey, maybe a couple other Freys, Margaery, Loras, Lancel, the High Septon, Septa Unella, possibly Olenna (god I hope not!!) Mace Tyrell, Qyburn, Maester Pycelle, Tommen.
Ps. What about Mereen?? We may see Dany set off for Westeros, or at least decide she’s going to. And will we see Sam again?
Littlefinger's Middlefinger,
Varys will kill KEVAN* and Pycelle, not Qyburn. Gah.
Where would Arya get a face from? She took one from the HoBaW?
Last time we saw wildfire was 4 seasons ago. With the increased budget, how big of a spectacle are we expecting?
What will happen in King’s Landing
Cersei will burn them all but her plan will backfire literally burning everyone. In attempting to burn the Sept she will start a chain reaction that engulfs the whole city, killing Tommen, Margery, Loras, Keven, the HP etc. N everyone will die in the Sept but I suspect in the case of Tommen having hus wife due may push him over the edge. Especially when Cersei reminds him it was his suggestion to burn down kings landing – and it will be too late for “I was only speaking metaphorically’.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in WF?
Sansa will marry LF or SR but not before renouncing her claim to the North and making Jon the head of house Stark – king crow even.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Probably but it depends on who turns up. For instance who is Walder sending regards to? Not Jamie because his regards are being sent. Could it be to Edmure thanking him for his roll in taking the castle. Could he be releasing the hostages from the red wedding and if so will this impact on how events in the North play out like in the books.
We all hope for Frey pie but I’m not sure how that would work unless TBWOB do a delivery like the hound did during the red wedding.
Interesting ideas from everyone. I’m gonna steal 1 or 2 interesting twists.
1. I’m guessing it’s gonna be an explosion, in the make kings landing irrelevant type. (The throne in particular)
2. Mel banished perhaps…Obvious Jon/Sansa discuss trust issues…probably some bootkissing and the like…We find out who Jons mommy is?
3. The twins is a guess. Idk if Ayra could get there that quick? If so yea she really lost her shit there. Almost to her family and bam, they’re all dead. I also like the idea another poster had, that Brienne and Pod get captured by the freys and Jaime flips.
Who will die?
Would it be easier to list who won’t?
Some random ranging Frey or pretty much anyone that crosses her on her travels. She knows how to prepare them and use them as far as I’m concerned.

Arya killing WF would be nice. We also know Arya actually has a tardis so anything is possible.
Why would Sansa renounce?
Bah! I edited to add to my post and stuck it on the end of the quoted text and ran out of editing time. Duh. That’s why I hate using my phone for this. 😛
Have the (casting spoilers)
Jack Bauer 24,
So LF doesn’t get his hands on the North.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
The trial happens for Loras and I believe he will be found guilty because of the witness/evidence previously. I don’t recall whether a punishment has been specified. Is this a capital offense? I don’t think Cersei makes it to the Sept for trial and chooses violence instead, and Tommen is lost in the resulting fire. Has anyone else had the idea that although Joffrey and Myrcella both had actual golden burial shrouds, Tommen’s golden shroud could be metaphorical in fire and more tragic if it’s caused by the mother he betrayed? We have the season trailer attack of the little birds, but who do they kill (see below)?
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
I think we get the Manderley speech/endorsement as the Stark’s gain fealty of the remaining northern houses. I never saw what happened to Karstark during the battle. Maybe he died in the cavalry grinder (sort of cruel, but consistent, of Ramsey to target friend and foe alike with his archers like that – Davos didn’t do it). If he somehow survived, I can maybe see some northern justice being meted out. I don’t think things look good for Melisandre if she’s forced to admit burning Shireen, but she may still have a date with Arya. Sansa and Jon have a come to Old Gods moment, but I think that family ties will prevail (I may be naïve (this is GOT, after all), but I don’t believe the Sansa is going to screw over Jon conspiracy theories). Sansa meets with Littlefinger and I wish she’d shank him then and there or somehow otherwise let Robyn and the Vale knights know about how Lyssa died to seal Littlefinger’s fate. That’s a personal thing as I hate Littlefinger’s machinations that just don’t seem to amount to anything in the larger scheme of White Walkers, upcoming conquest of Westeros by Dany, etc. I don’t think that Brienne, Pod, Hound, Thoros, or Beric, et al, make it this far in the finale, but we may get something regarding their travel log (maybe they’re near the Twins?).
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
As much as I’d like it, I don’t see anyone in the area with any kind of options on what to do at the Twins. Arya would need a serious LF jetpack to make it and there’s no foundation that she knows anyone of any import is there (besides old Walder, himself) and I don’t see an escape strategy, given the lay of that geography there. Maybe Jaime gets a raven that informs him of the trial/fire in Kings Landing and he hightails it outta there and runs into Brienne/Pod or the BwoB. There are some possibilities people have talked about, so maybe we’ll all be surprised.
For good measure..
Who will die in the finale?
I’m confident that Kevan and Pycelle are history, not only because they’re on Cersei’s shit list, but also
books, though I don’t think it’ll be Varys doing the killing because I think he’s going to Dorne to prepare for Dany’s arrival [/ spoiler]
I think one, or both, are lost to the little birds.
I’m pretty certain that Tommen will be lost in the fire, along with the High Sparrow, Lancel, Sept Unella, Loras (before he can be punished for his sins), and maybe even Margary.
I think Cersei escapes with the Frankenmountain and Qyburn.
One more option is maybe Kevan and Pycelle are also lost in the fire and the little birds kill Qyburn as some kind of remaining loyalty to Varys and under his orders. It would be interesting if Frankenmountain somehow needs to be maintained by Qyburn and things go sideways with him if something happens to Qyburn.
I think Margery, Loras and everyone else in Kings Landing are all candidates to die in the finale (barring Cercei and, possibly, Quyburn)
Nope. In “No One,” we see her take a face off and put it in the Hall of Faces all by her lonesome. Last year, we saw her steal a face and wear it. She knows how to take off. She knows how to put on. All she needs to do is find a body or make a body, and she could be any body. (Yes, we don’t know for certain she knows and has access to all the magic in between, but I wholeheartedly believe that George wouldn’t have led us on a multi-year goose chase.)
Simon,
Not gonna happen. Jon will be named King in the North. No need for a Warden of the North if it has a King. Sansa will marry LF, or SR. Now that I think about it. LF is not going to be in a great position for to long. Especially if Sansa marries SR. Does he still hold the title of Lord of Harrenhal?
We’re seeing a lot thinking KL could be toast in the finale because of all the hinting. Not just here but in preview articles everywhere. I don’t know, it might be too early, or maybe it never happens the way it’s expected. Perhaps it’s prevented from happening…
Cersei nukes King’s Landing.
White Walkers break the Wall.
Fire and Ice.
Ginevra,
Agreed. The FM use potions, tools, blood and special training in order to use the faces to take on the appearance. It’s not the same as a Red Priestess glamour in other words. Arya having already successfully changed her face on her own proves that she knows how to apply them. She was also shown preparing the faces for the most part so it’s safe to assume she can do it anywhere.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
ans: i dont have any idea how it will all happen i can only make a wild prediction.
it will play out in two or three scenes…….
we will see some dudes preparing wildfire.. qyburn instructs them on when and how to use it ..he meets cersei and they give each other the nod .. everyone is ready to start the trial at the Sept ..everyone is waiting for tommen and cersei..cut to ….tommen is getting ready when the sand snakes sneak in ..they will tell tommen about how he is a bastard ..and their plan to kill his family one by one ..tommen wont believe them and he shouts for the guards who are already dead…sand snakes keeps pushing him .until he breaks down and kills himself …
cersei finds out tommen is dead she is absolutely furious..
everyone inside the sept are informed tommen is dead ..everyone panics ..and marg realises its now or never for her .so she brings in the tyrell army inside the sept they start fighting with the sparrows ..marg asks loras to make a run for it …but he hesitates … exactly that moment the wildfire is released ,…there is a big blast … people burning crying in pain while cersei watches the whole thing from a distance with a sad but a satisfied smile …
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
again totally blind prediction…… littlefinger talks with sansa ..he advises her to see the bigger picture and let jon be the king in the north and she should play the bigger game ….sansa agrees to the plan … .. all the leaders of the houses of the north gather.Jon and davos warn them about the upcoming threat…there is a big discussion about who should now rule …some leaders of the house will be like jon is bastard and sansa is a girl so they cant rule …but it infuriates the badass the super cool the queen of the world .the queen of stares the queen we all want …..( i can do this all day)….etc etc ….lyanna mormont and she gives a cracking speech ….. sansa steps in steals lyanna’s thunder ..while everyone watches sansa she declares jon the king in the north …and every house leader shout “THE KING IN THE NORTH”………sansa looks at littlefinger who gives a creepy little smile …..and sansa smiles back..
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
dinner with walder is turning into another red wedding ..this time it will be arya who will start some sorta commotion ..she will somehow manage to turn lannister army against the frey army ..jamie will leave walder frey almost dead….while arya after everyone is gone will finish off walder frey…
Who will die in the finale?
ans
1) margaery
2) loras
3) high sparrow
4) pycell
5) kevan
6) tommen
7) mace
8) sparrow crews led by lancel
9) walder frey
10) walder frey’s sons and a whole lot of frey and lannister army
1 No trial, but lots of death sentences.
2 Jon will refuse Lord of Winterfell. Sansa will become Lady of Winterfell. LF has been plotting with Walder Frey. He will ask for Sansa’s hand in marriage. She will refuse it. LF will then exact Plan B and cut Sansa’s throat in the Godswood. Davos will find out that Mel knew from her visions that this would happen. He will take her before Jon who has to sit as Lord of Winterfell now. LF leaves before the body is found. Hoping BWB arrive at Winterfell before burial with LSH pursuing LF into the next episodes,
3 Walder Frey has invited Jaime to the Twins to tell him that he has sent the Starks his and the Lannisters regards by LF.
A bonus answer
4 The person who we see only the back of his neck is Jorah Mormont returning to Mereen to lead Dany’s armies. Dany is leaving Daario, Grey Worm, and Missy to rule Mereen in her absence.
The Wall will die!
Anyone who was into World of Warcraft at one point or another will appreciate this Jon Snow tribute… Lol
I may be completely off but the preview got me thinking again.
Everyone says the guy walking out the door right after Dany and Daario clip in preview is Lancel.
My tinfoil? It’s Lancel might not die. I know it’s a weird theory-he’s a side character I don’t even care about-but there it is.
He’s had opportunities to die. He was right in front and mouthy when Cersei chose violence-and he’s the reason she was imprisoned and had to walk in the first place…but the Mountain only took off random militant’s head and Lancel got away unharmed. He’s been having that kind of luck since Season 1-even though he’s been fairly close to hairy situations and he’s kind of a weenie.
So if that is Lancel-then I predict he steps out in time to be spared what’s coming (boom) and ends up outside of KL because-well if you did that to Cersei and no one is around to protect you? Yeah, you better run. But he’d still be alive. Which is great, because he could find Jaime and tell him everything he knows. He knows a lot.
This is my only theory I’m not emotionally attached to-just something I’m noticing and joking about with friends-that Lancel could be the last Lannister standing. It reminds me of what Edd said. “Great rangers never get old, shit ones neither. It’s them in the middle that last a long time.”
Clearly the Frey end of the story will be sorted out somehow. Was worried by the trailer shot of Jamie at a Frey dinner without armour.
Does Sansa need LF any more? I don’t think so. She could have handed him over to the Vale but it didn’t suit her at the time. Now she has her own base. I think LF could be the surprise death in this episode.
All sorts of murder and mayhem in KL. The Tyrells are gonners except for Olenna.
Ok, my view:
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
I think King’s Landing have come to an end as a plot hub. So, even if I can’t tell what will happen exactly, I expect the whole bunch of the characters over there to die. A fire would be a reasonable means to that end.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Well, Sansa has to pay. I expect LF to propose. Compared to her late husband, he would be a certain amelioration. But I don’t think she will have any of that. I expect the Starks to rally the Stark bannermen, who this time will follow. And turn on LF.
What I don’t see is Jon and Sansa falling apart. Jon is too loyal and Sansa doesn’t seem that stupid, at least any more. I am sure she can recognize loyalness.
I think Davos will confront Melisandre on Shireen; but I believe he will feel compelled to let her be, given that she now serves his new leader, and quite humbly. Unless she goes all pyromaniac again.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Man, even the though of dinner with the Walders is horrible. Anyway, my first thought is that Jaime has had enough of those disgusting rats and reckons it’s time Bronn gets his bigger castle. As for a better looking wife, I am not that sure, but maybe Roslyn Frey has a twin. So I expect the Freys to have their proper Red Party. And I will be happy to watch that.
On second thoughts though, Jaime is not catching a train up north from Riverrun. He marches there with a whole army. Which means loosing a great deal of time. Quite incomprehensible, given the fact that he was in such a hurry to go back to KL. And I suppose that Cersei has already sent a raven or something going “get your ass back here”.
Plus, as disgusting the Freys are, wiping them out would maybe create the wrong impressions to the other Lannister bannermen.
So, I am at a loss, I guess.
For good measure..
Who will die in the finale?
Ok, the whole of King’s Landing, and it is about high time. I wouldn’t mind the Tyrells to live on, but I don’t really care either. And in a perfect world, I would also like Tommen to survive, abdicate and go live a quiet life in Castle Rock, but whatever.
I am also certain the Freys have come to their end. Hopefully the male only.
I would pray for Littlefinger’s demise, but I wouldn’t bet on it. Let’s at least hope he will be outsmarted by Sansa. I would love to see the look on his face. I would also love him to have a meeting with the exquisite Lyanna Mormont. What a scene that would be. But that’s pure fantasy, of course.
Last, but not least, I have a bad feeling for Uncle Benjen.
1. A lot of people willgo down in KL and Cersei will burn them. Wildfire is going to be used and she’ll make it out of there.
2. Jon will be KitN and prepring to lead them against Wahite Walkers. Wildlings will be given a new land for their bravery, making them citizizens of the North officially. LF will try to marry Sansa and thus be in power. She will agree with Northerners that Jon should be King after their heart to heart conversation about trust.
Lyanna Mormont makes a speech and tell everyone how big of cunts they are for being cowards and House Mormont followed House Stark while they’ve been cowering. Wyman Manderly might make an appearance.
Not sure if anyone will make it to Winterfell like Brienne with Pod, Brotherhood and Bran/Meera. Mel will be banishd or locked. Jon wouldn’t let it slide but locking her with a promise of justice after the war should be enough. Davos might be angry at Jon. Jon visits crypts. Quite a few scenes in the North by the preview and what we know.
3. Some death. Walder for exmplae could be good guess.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
With Jaime far away, Cersei will attempt to qyburn them all. The attempt will succeed, burning the sept with at least HS, Tommen, Kevan, Lancel and maybe Margaery. Why not, they should all be there. Thus the prophecy will be fulfilled, and a younger prettier Margaery will take everything away from Cersei (in her opinion).
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Rebuilding, gathering armies, houses of the North will swear faithful to Lady Stark, the rise of the Lord Giantsbane. Boltons don’t have any heir, someone has to occupy their castle. LF proposes to Sansa. She either agrees, or stabs him in the guts.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Walder can get his throat slit by the one who got slapped by Jaime. He will also attempt to slain Jaime for slapping him, but ser Bronn might save the day (or just die together with his boss).
Dom,
Yes
But not for long when its discovered LF and the vale helped the Starks without destroying the Starks.
LF doesn’t need to be warden if he’s married to Sansa unless Of course Jon becomes King. Engendering Jons ruse to power stymies LF. Because he wants Sansa he gas to play nice.
Perhaps LF will have some hand in punishing the Freys? Maybe as part of his marriage proposal?
I am very interested to see how the expected ToJ reveal will influence the Northern plot line.
We book readers definitely need a Weasel Soup “Easter Egg”!
Some of the Freys are going to died , no point in shown them other than to see them get their just deserts.
Jamie , Cersei survive and tommen dies.
I cannot see Sansa marrying LF or Robyn . She knows that means a marraige bed and she is too damaged now to consider it. She wants to have power but power her way and not through a man.
The north will unite behind Jon , they will either have seen him fight , heard of the fight and it seems who controls Winterfell generally have the allegiance.
All I want to see it a Jon and Arya reunion. She is on her way back and will be a better ally to Jon.
1. Trial/s
I always thought Loras would get executed but looks like he may become a Sparrow ala Lancel?
Reckon Cersei will blow the Sept using a Wildfire cache that Tyrion mention may be stored under the Sept
Big question is whether there’s collateral damage with Tommen, Margaery etc
2. Winterfell, we’ll get a bit more clarity as to what is happening with Jon/Sansa, I reckon Shwrunners are hedging their bets as to whether to do a Stark civil war plot so it will be kept indecisive and leave us with a post and pre-season of intense debate, oh joy
Big question as to whether Davos tries to kill Mel or not, I don’t think he quite will given I reckon Mel has more of a role to play and the revelation may keep her burning people tendencies in check though under Jon and keep her humble, which may be a nice thematic contrast to the “cocky” High Sparrow and Cersei who goes burn crazy
I had been wondering why so many Houses were uncommitted to BoB, but now I kinda get it, most of the armies were wiped out, but having some uncommitted now means that when everyone re-pledges to the Starks in Winterfell, there will be Northern soldiers available to fight the White Walkers
Plus the Vale as well perhaps, depends on whether they can convince LF and Sweetrobin of the threat and to keep the Vale Army up there
3, Jaimie and RL
I suspect a form of RW reverse, in the books I reckon the numerous Freys and the Twins get Rains of Castamered. Think many of them get killed, depends if Jaimie has sent most of the 8k Lannister army on
Big question is who, I actually suspect there’s a very remote chance of LS, but it may more realistically end up being Arya going to tick Walder Frey off her list and she’ll poison all of their wine or something
This may be where Arya, Brienne and Hound makes some loose sense, as through meeting Brienne Arya knows Jaimie sent her after Sansa and Arya, so this may end up saving Jaimie
Arya is a actually a big question
She could turn up at RL to continue her mission
Though if she turns up at WF for a happy reunion
In the absence of Bran coming back through the Wall as KitN but he is now the # eyed Raven it seems…
Arya is quite arguably the next in line, quite ironic given her “I don’t want to be a Lady” when she may in fact be Queen in the North
In book terms Robbs Will has some murkiness to it as it legitimises Jon on the proviso everyone else was dead
In book terms Sansa still has some murkiness given she’s married to Tyrion and Harry the Heir,
In show terms Jon is still a Snow and Sansa is still married to Tyrion and she can’t prove that marriage wasn’t consumated. They can ignore it ala marrying Ramsay but there will always be that murkiness
So then, Arya is the Stark with the clearest claim after Rickon. Even then there’s the children, we could end up with a Plantagenet issue where after a few generations there’s a dispute over ancestry from a 2nd or 3rd child, in this case down the line Arya’s indisputably trueborn children can prospectively have a naggingly stronger claim than Sansa’s
This murkiness matches what is happening with the Lannisters and Casterly Rock, eg who exactly is the Lady or Lord of CR, is it Jaimie or Cersei> obviously if Dany takes CR by conquest then Tyrion gets installed
So they may just in the show given they don’t have the episodes for the politics of it all, just do a “Team Lannister” controls Casterly Rock, “Team Stark” controls Winterfell etc
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
I think that Cersei will burn the Sept. The little birds will kill Kevan and Pycelle, but somehow I see Qyburn alive. I don’t see Tommen making it, but not sure how he would die. Loras is a goner. I also don’t see a trial for Cersei because of the wildfire I think she will use. Maybe Cersei will burn all of KL but I don’t think so yet….if Tommen dies that could change things come the next season because she would go all “Mad King.”
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
LF will make his play for Sansa. Hoping she is smart enough not to fall for it, but really worried she will give him what she wants. I think from the preview that Jon is leaving WF. The North will rally due to the Manderly speech behind Jon to band together for the fight to come. I don’t think they will name him KITN. He’s still a bastard and Sansa is the true Stark at WF. Just hoping LF isn’t the new Warden of the North because she stupidly marries him. We all know that’s what he wants as his reward for coming to her aid. I can’t see Jon having Mel killed, but I could see him banishing her. Maybe her fate is to meet up with the BwoB and Arya on the road.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
I would love to see Jaime say, “the Starks send their regards,” but I don’t see that happening. Walder is saying “the Freys and the Lannisters send their regards”…to whom do that send that statement? The North now that Jon & Co., have taken back WF? I am wondering if somehow the Frey’s found Brienne and Pod and that is what makes the “Red Party” happen. I don’t see Jaime letting them kill Brienne if they parade her out in front of him. Don’t forget she was escaping the Riverlands held by the Frey’s. The BwoB don’t have enough men to take on the Lannisters and the Frey’s; Arya could have made it to the Twins and we could see Frey pies, but somehow I don’t think that’s what is happening. I am truly looking forward to the the Frey’s getting their comeuppance.
Who will die in the finale?
1. Tommen
2. Loras
3. Kevan and Pycelle
4. Freys!!
5. High Sparrow
6. Unella
7. Mace
8. Lancel
9. Bronn? Hope not.
10. Lyanna Stark in flashback. Really hoping for the big reveal and that it doesn’t just show “promise me Ned” without knowing what the promise is…
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Cersei will use wildfire as everyone has predicted but as fire is something you cannot control, it will go badly wrong and she will lose her last son.
From the trailer it seems Varys’s little birds, now working for Qyburn, attack as well. I’m inclined to think the High Sparrow may escape the fire only to end up victim to the stabbing kiddies.
Dany will arrive just when chaos descends on KL. That was Drogon’s shadow flying over KL we saw in the trailer.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Jon will be the King in the North. There really isn’t anything so far that convinces me Sansa will be chosen by the northern lords to rule House Stark.
‘Bear Island knows no king but the King in the North, whose name is Stark’.
Lady Lyanna Mormont was at the battle parley and it seems she isn’t just a one scene character. I’d like to see her speaking out at the forthcoming speeches at Winterfell when the northern houses come together.
In the preview trailer, Sansa looks a little crushed when Jon kisses her on the forehead. I think LF will expect marriage and Sansa will be horrified at the prospect. She has already been betrothed and married off three times with awful consequences. There is no way she will want to marry anyone she does not love or leave the home she has battled to return to.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
It will end horribly…..although horrible is what we want!! If the show is giving us payoff for a while, then it has to be a Stark who exacts revenge for the Red Wedding and that leaves Ayra.
Ayra will turn up on horseback at the Crossroads Inn on her way back to Winterfell, having sailed to Maidenpool and bought a horse. Here she meets Hotpie again who tells her that the Freys and Lannisters have retaken River Run and they are all at the Twins with her Uncle Edmure. Ayra seizes the opportunity and heads for the Twins, with some of Hotpie’s baked goodies and a face in her pocket …..!! Bye bye, Walder, Lothar and Black Walder.
Well, that’s what I’d love to see happen anyway.
Who will die in the finale?
Tommen
High Sparrow
Loras
Margeary (although I hope not)
Mace Tyrell
Pycelle
Walder Frey
Lothar and/or Black Walder
If they’re going to hit us with a surprise death again then I’d go with Littlefinger.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Cercei is left with few options, since trial by combat is now forbidden. As strongly hinted in the season trailer, Cercei chooses violins. A trial by fiddle is set in place, and obviously Lancel is choosen to represent The Faith along with six other faith militants. They pull off a nice show, and certain of their victory, they lean back to watch Frankenmountain’s performance. To everybody’s surprise, Ser Robert Strong makes a breathtaking performance, expressing all the complex feelings of being an abomination sewn together of numerous bodies. Cercei is declared innocent, and is free to walk away.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
The Hound arrives at the nick of time and is tasked with digging the grave for Wun Wun. Lord Glover is appointed to be his assistant as a punishment for being a dipshit in episode 7. The Hound is driving him crazy with all his talk about chickens and the joys of hard work.
Melisandre is confronted with her burning of Shireen. She admits that she she misheard The Lord of Light. What he wanted to tell her was to burn MEEreen, not SHIreen (which also indicates, that Dany, not Jon, is Azor Ahai). Everyone agrees, that the mistake, though tragic, is also understandable. After all, if Mel had went to Essos to assist Dany, she wouldn’t have been there to resurrect Jon, which would be sad. Melisandre promises never again to burn young, innocent girls before asking The Lord of Light twice.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
The Freys are celebrating the joys of stupid hats, incest and murderous deceit. While not sharing in on the hat part, Jaime is still having a good time. As everyone else has pointed out, Arya is there. Due to the shabby lighting of The Twins, and the Freys not being able to tell each other from one another even in broad daylight, she blends right in after donning some dark clothes and calling herself Walda. Arya poisons old Walders wine, and soon after his death internal fights break out since no one is able to tell, who is next in line to be The Old Walder. The Freys kill each other good, much to Arya’s amusement. Realising the silliness and possible danger of the situation, Jaime leaves with his Lannister men. After a while a new Old Walder is declared. Arya poisons his wine, which causes new fightings and killings to break out. The scene repeats itself a couple of times until only a few and very tired Freys remain. Arya stabs those to close the deal.
Alright my predictions:
1) Trial at the Sept of Baelor… either Cersei will disappear or she will be a no show, she’ll blow the wildfire stash, all the sparrows die. Including Loras and Tommen. It’s very possible Margaery also dies… they haven’t really foreshadowed anything. I’m actually guessing that Cersei will make sure that Tommen isn’t in the line of explosion, but most likely all of King’s Landing will burn, or at least the castle and he can’t escape. The Mountain is a zombie, maybe he’s just as vulnerable to fire like the ones North of the Wall.
2) Winterfell…. nothing much. Davos confronts Mel, she’s so depressed she doesn’t put up a fight and Jon cuts her head off…. Doesn’t really seem in character but that’s what I’m guessing they’ll do. They’ll talk about the North, about who could lead it… ah, who I’m kidding? I don’t know. I’ve heard the rumors about Jon… I can’t see a way it can happen and really feel satisfying from a logical point of view. There is no Robb will in the show, it would be contrived to get it from nowhere. He’s a bastard, with poor leadership skills, with no army left… Not to mention that if Rickon was alive so would be Bran.
3) The Twins… Arya poisons Walder Frey, most likely with the same poison as Joffrey. And that’s it. I have no doubt Jaime survives. Well, I guess it’s possible we’re getting something worse and she poisons the soup…. and everyone gets it, except Jaime.
Anyway, I’m thinking most of the episode will be dedicated to King’s Landing. With some short scenes everywhere else. Probably Dany gets on the ships. I have no idea about Sam, maybe his father catches him, or he gets to Oldtown (although that would require CGI). Maybe we’re not getting him at all. The same with Varys. He’s not going to King’s Landing, we already have a way for anyone necessary to die… nope, he’s going to Dorne. But who wants to see that??? NOBODY!! They’ll probably save it for Season 7.
1. Wildfire.
2. KITN, I hope. QITN is also strong possibility.
3. Walder Frey will be killed by one of his sons.
*QUESTION!*
That white bird in the preview??
Is it significant!? No one seems to b discussing it…
Is that Bran “flying again”?
Diane Var,
I don’t get why Sansa “owns” it to LF…I would actually say they are fair and squared by now. She owns him nothing. Him saving the “day” at the last minute was actually his way to “pay” her by marrying her to the Boltons (and manipulating her, using her, etc). He’s the one that owned to her and by showing up at battle paid his debt. Now there is nothing to “collect”.
1. Kings Landing
Loras will be tried and sentenced. But Cirsei will burn down the Sept only I hope. Otherwise what will Dany need all those troops for if KL is destroyed. The HS will control KL with Margery once this is done.
2. The North.
Jon will be and the warden of the north and have to resolve the Mel/Davos dispute. LF will want Sansa’s hand for saving her and She will betray LF by telling Jon of his role in Ned capture and death. LF’s only weakness is Cat and Sansa.
3. The Freys will celebrate until word comes that the Starks have retaken Winterfell. He will insist that Jaime rides North with them to retake Winterfell, He will refuse and the old man will feel slighted and in a slice of poetic justice, Jaime Lannister is killed the same way as Rob. Never have a meal with Freys people. The freys will be dealt with next season.
4. Deaths
– Loras
– Kevan Lannister and Pycelle
– Tommen
– Jaime Lannister
– Lord Karstark
Please directors show us the faces of Arya and especially Theon once word reaches them that WF is under Stark control once more and at least one LF vs. Lyanna Mormont scene!
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
I agree with the consensus, there will be no trial. Cerise will burn down the sept, but it will cost her Tommen.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
The lords of the houses that didn’t support their claim will pledge fealty to house stark and Sansa. Jon and Sansa will talk and Jon will apologize for not listening and falling in to Ramsey’s traps with his easy wide open. Little finger will press for Sansa’s hand in marriage. The BWB will make it north to join the fight against the coming dead. Davos will interrogate Mel trying to discern the fate of Shireen.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
I don’t think then Frey’s will die, not yet at least. I think this will serve as a turning point for Jamie’s character arc in the show and make him realize that blind loyalty to his family has cost him his honor.
Who will die in the finale?
Tommen for sure. They may also execute Harlad Karstark. I don’t believe the finale will be heavy on A list character deaths but will instead set us up for the end game by moving all the main players to their positions.
Final thoughts………….
I think Cersie killing her last child will push her in to deep despair. He’ll be collateral damage.
Jon will not be named King in the North, but will instead be offered legitimacy as a Stark by Littlefinger as a gift to Sansa should she accept his marriage offer. I don’t think Peyter wants to be warden, not for long at least, as the iron throne is his long term goal. What he needs are people loyal to him for one reason or another. Making Jon a Stark and marrying his sister would give him Jon’s loyalty, IMO.
I’ve complained about the writing becoming too simplistic since season 5. I wonder, giving it some thought, if that’s a result of there being too much on D&D’s plate. Its certainly not an easy show to produce, and the production quality is very high. I’m hoping that shorter seasons will free up just enough time to really let them flesh out the story as best they can with what remains. Give the first 4 seasons writing, that extra time might translate in to a giant spectacle and a giant story to go with it.
Here’s to season 7!
Jon Jon,
What a post. Here’s to hoping it goes just as you’ve written. Maybe Charlie Daniels will get a guest spot in the fiddle battle? I’m holding out hope he will.
redxgod,
yes to the LF/Baby Bear scene just to see her utterly own him
YES to Theon finding out Starks have taken retaken Winterfell for two reason, it will bring some measure of peace to him and if Theon knows, Tyrion will know which is a VERY GOOD thing
Ayra never knew Winterfell was ever lost..she knew Robb and Cat were killed but as far as she knew Bran and Rickon were still at Winterfell so I dont think that will get a big reaction from her..just make her more determined to get there so she can help her family
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Cersei will sit through the trial. Pretty sure we’ll see judgement of Loras first and figure out what Marg’s plan is. If not, Cersei will attack with the mountain and then have Qyburn light up the sept of Baelor. I think at the very least Tommen will die, either directly because of his mother’s actions OR killed by Lancel because of Marg’s plan gone awry. Regardless, there will be death in KL and lots of it.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
I’m not really sure what will happen. I think Sansa rids herself of Littlefinger in this episode or agrees to marry him to further her own devices in the short term only to kill him later. I would think she first needs to get Robert Arryn on her side before disposing of Littlefinger. I’m hoping she turns away from the dark side and we find her actions were more noble than perceived. Mainly, she didn’t know if or when Littlefinger would arrive and just received word of their arrival prior or during the battle. I don’t like her lying to Jon, but it’s understandable given that she knew Ramsay would play one of his games and make Jon deviate from his plan. I wouldn’t mind if Bran somehow rides in on the back of Uncle Benjen’s horse and we a little circle seance around the Winterfell weirwood tree that somehow lets Jon see the ending to the tower of joy fiasco. Doubt any of this will happen, but a reunion with Bran and Benjen would be a nice way to end the season. Bran going past the wall will allow the White Walkers through and the Night’s Watch will be wiped out. Hopefully Edd gets out of there alive and back to Jon.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
I hope Arya took a few faces for the road. Pretends to be a serving girl and poisons all the Freys. It’d be poetic justice. I’d also like if the BWB arrived and killed all the Freys under Lady Stoneheart, but with Beric still kickin’ I don’t see her entering the Fray. Pun intended. If neither of these scenarios play out I wouldn’t mind a little character development from Jaime. I thought he may make it back to KL to be at Cersei’s side for the trial, but it appears he’s chillin’ at The Twins in the preview. My guess is he will do something important there if he’s not in KL.
Also, WTF happened with Sam and Heartsbane? Are we going to have any development on that before seasons end?
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
I’m sure Loras’ trial will happen first and I’m interested in seeing what happens with him. I think we are all in agreement that Cersei’s trial will never take place. Bye Bye to the Sept of Baelor and most of King’s Landing.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
The North will unite around Sansa and Jon. Littlefinger will try to marry Sansa but hopefully she can manipulate Robin into killing Littlefinger.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Arya will kill Walder Frey and Black Walder, I’m not sure how but she will. I don’t think she’s capable of serving Frey pies alone but that would be cool.
TPTWP,
I was wondering the same thing about the white bird, it has to be Bran.
1. I expect carnage but think Margery will come out the other end. Natalie Dormer is just too damn good. I would hate to lose her. Loras, High Sparrow, Lancel and company will bite it. Would be cool to see Tommen try to kill Cersei because of what goes down. He is a “younger brother”, after all. She kills him in self-defense or Ser Robert Strong rips off his head. Either way, Cersei loses.
2. Littlefinger is the one with all the power. It may be short-lived but I think Sansa will agree to marry him because “better the devil you know” and this keeps the Vale in her pocket. She may know the truth about Littlefinger/Aunt Lysa but keeping secrets is a tactic she has put into practice and will use to her advantage. Jon will forgive Sansa, of course, she was desperate and felt her voice wasn’t heard but their relationship may continue to be tenuous.
3. Brienne and Pod will show up because, duh, Jaime is there and her allegiance to him is stronger than getting back to Sansa. She will save him from some type of slaughter. I want Walder Frey to be an Arya kill but if the writers seem hell-bent on getting Jaime back on a redemption track (though I never thought redemption was what his arc was about, at least in the books), they will give him the kill to make it seem like Jaime cared about the Red Wedding and aftermath. Because he is really a good guy. At least, Brienne wants me to think so.
TPTWP,
I think it indicates that winter has arrived in Westeros
#1. Yes Cersei will burn down a least the Sept. She has resigned herself to the profecy. Tommen is as good as dead to her anyway. She won’t care that he dies. Jamie will be the Valonquor, seeing what she has done, killed their only child.
#2 No one has picked up on Sansa foreshadowing. The Blackfish says that Sansa is just like her mother, and she is. Catelyn thought she knew battle strategy more than Robb, and went behind his back. Undermining Robb’s authority. Catelyn trusted the Freys and got many people killed for it. And, Catelyn hated, really hated Jon, and wanted Robb to make Sansa his heir to Winterfell. Sansa= Catelyn and I think Sansa will make a fatal mistake as well.
Littlefinger has no problem killing anyone in his way, even Sansa.
Jon has bigger problems i.e. Night King and company, so he can’t hang around and rule Winterfell.
#3 I hope Arya kills the Freys
#4 I think everyone dies except the three Targaryen Children, Bran and Arya
Jon Jon,
Nice
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Team Cersei go berserk! Hell yeah!
I still fear for sweet naive little Tommen, so far I only imagine that during the Sparrow killing something goes terribly wrong. Maybe Tommy tries to defend the Sparrow and the Mountain gives him a “headache”. Besides, I remember an interview with Finn Jones. I was talking of Loras having a “pivotal role”…
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Intrigue… Littlefinger is present. I am not so keen on this arc. I’m looking forward to Melisandre and Davos.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Another red feast seems plausible. I would love to see Arya checking her list, as I assume, the BwB is done for this season. We will see them again in the big battle against the WW.
I imagine a scene with poisoned wine. They cheer, Jamie refuses to drink as he is not quite in the mood for party (Brienne left again, you know…). Hence, he is the only one who sees all Freys choke and die.
4.Who will die in the finale?
HEAPS! So I only call the main cast…
High Sparrow
Kevan
Pycelle
Loras
Tommen
Walder Frey
Melisandre or Davos… Don’t know… Can’t decide…
TPTWP,
White Crow signals the change of seasons and our episode title.
I’d suggest it points to seeing Sam in old town also – as that is where it will fly from.
The Freys aren’t dying this season. They’re going to be the first half of Arya’s arc in season 7. Mark my words.
Pikidu,
Except she promised a reward in that letter she sent.
Simon,
Forgiveness is its own reward.
I’m worried. I don’t think Jon or Sansa taking over Winterfell is even the question as long as Littlefinger is still in the picture. I hope Sansa hasn’t outsmarted herself. Cersei already had Tommen appoint Littlefinger Warden of the North, giving him permission to go after the Boltons, after LF told Cersei Sansa was at Winterfell being offered to the newly legitimate son of Roose. Cersei was angry, still blaming her for Joffrey’s death, wanted Sansa’s head on a spike.
Littlefinger pointed out that Stannis was riding on Winterfell, and suggested they let the two armies fight it out and then go after whoever won. Well, instead of Stannis, he’s dealing with Jon & a bunch of exhausted soldiers, mostly Wildings. If Sansa thinks she will satisfy Littlefinger by agreeing to marry him or Robyn she is a fool. I wish Brienne were around.
As for my death predictions:
Walder Frey and Tommen for sure. Hopefully the High Sparrow, but please, not Loras & Margaery.
There will be no trial. Rumor has it there will be some fireworks.
And Im sure we can agree that Littlefinger will fully expect payment in epi 10. My monies on him pressing the marriage issue with a fake confession of love to Sansa.
Roz’s Ghost,
Robin is her cousin so I do not think Sansa will be marrying him. Sansa also knows that LF was involved in the deaths of Ned, Joffrey and Robins Mom & Dad.
That is a lot of leverage.
LordDavos,
I hope you’re right about the “surprise death!” LF makes my skin crawl. If Sansa trusts his word after what he did to her (Ramsey) then there is no hope for Sansa. Even if she doesn’t know King Tommen gave Winterfell to LF, she has to know that with an army behind him, and an established reputation for treachery which she cannot control, he is not her friend or ally. He is her enemy. He looks at her and all he sees is a pawn.
1. King’s Landing: Cersei has already chosen violence, and with three little words, “Burn them all,” she’ll massacre every one in the Sept of Baelor. I really wish Jamie had gotten back to King’s Landing before this happened, because it could have put him in the role of the valonqar, and he would have had to choose between love and redemption. Last scene of King’s Landing for this season: Cersei looking out from the Red Keep, very smug, as the Sept burns and the people of Flea Bottom running mad. Tommen enters tears in his eyes, approaches Cersei and Frankengregor, says, “You did this,” and jumps out of a tower window.
2. Winterfell: Some kind of burial ceremony for Rickon, Jon and Sansa reconciliation, Davos pleads for Jon to execute Melisandre, Sansa gives Littlefinger his reward, and the return of Brandon the Seer. I think Davos had assumed that Selyse and Shireen were butchered by Ramsay, with last week’s revelation, he clearly knows Melisandre burned Shireen alive. I have no idea how Jon can execute the woman who brought him back over a girl he knew so little of, but I know Davos is not backing down. I think Brandon will come back through the crypts and will reveal Jon’s lineage to him, and show Sansa and Jon, how Littlefinger betrayed Ned, hopefully in the godswood.
3 Twins: Feast to celebrate the victory at Riverrun, as well as Walder Frey’s newest bride. Wyman Manderly is present, gives a variation of his The North Remembers speech – Mermen army, and Nymeria’s wolfpack descend on the party will all the ferocity of The North.
Deaths
-King’s Landing: Margaery, Loras, Tommen, High Sparrow, Lancel, lots of commonfolk
-Winterfell: Littlefinger, Melisandre
-Twins: Walder Frey, Lame Lothar, Petyr Pimple, Black Walder, tons of Freys
redxgod,
Yes Sansa knows a lot. That makes her a threat to Littlefinger. Both she & Jon are in danger from LF right now but for different reasons. IMO. LF will try to neutralize Sansa, expecting her to be grateful for the rescue. I hope she surprises him by being smart instead.
Lots of folks talking about it, actually… theories include:
It is the White Raven, traditionally sent from the Citadel (Sam?) to the greater houses to indicate the formal change/turn of Seasons (Winter is Here, Summer is Here). Pycell gifted a White Raven to the Small Council at one point, as well. Some White Ravens can talk quite well, although it is thought to be the language of the Children of the Forest. Questions remain as to whether this is one White Raven sent, or have many been released; where is THIS White Raven sighted; where is THIS White Raven’s ultimate destination?
It’s the gyrfalcon gifted from LittleFinger to Robin Arryn. The White Falcon is also on the sigil, along with the Crescent Moon, (although some say the White Eagle is on the sigil). The gyrfalcon gifted to Robin appears to be much darker grey than white.
Sansa is often associated with feathers and birds, (the dress she made in The Vale, the feather she found in the crypt – there’s that crypt thing again – that Robert Baratheon placed in the stone statue hand of Lyanna Stark, she’s called ‘Little Bird, Little Dove’, she’s the ‘caged bird’…. she’s associated with Little Finger, whose sigil is a bird – albeit a mocking bird – what’d I miss?)
Since warging, other than Bran and the Wildling, Orell, to mention a very few, has been mostly left out in the TV series; lots of folks doubt Sansa can/will warg, but should that happen, bird warging might be the logical choice for Sansa.
Or, maybe none of the above.
Simon,
I tend to lean toward this theory, myself. I soooo wanted it to be the gyrfalcon… that critter seemed to be INTENTLY listening… but I’m good with the Sam/White Raven, theory, too.
A question for you more knowledgeable fans…are we sure what the white Raven means?
Winter is already here so idk if that’s the point of it, I was wondering if maybe Sam gets to the Citadel and informs them about the WW’s? Thus the Raven…
Or did I hear that the citadel doesn’t believe in them to begin with?
Expand my knowledge people!
Allthegoodnamesaregone,
It is the ”official” way they report Winter has arrived.
The Maesters send white ravens to all major, or all casttles, this part isn’t mentioned, to confirm that Winter has started.
It’s more of a official declaration.
Sansa doesn’t know about LF’s involvement in Ned’s death. Joffrey, she doesn’t care about though I am sure she isn’t too pleased that she is taking the wrap with Cersei. As for Aunt Lysa, she tried to push Sansa through the moon door, so I don’t think she is shedding any tears. But the knowledge could be very powerful in securing the Vale on her side. Though, she lied to the council so that could backfire.
She definitely has leverage but a lot of it is thin at this point. It comes down to Robyn. Who would he believe? His stand-in Dad, who he seems to admire or a cousin he doesn’t really know (since the writers didn’t establish much a relationship between them)?
The Ned knowledge will be the nail in Littlefinger’s coffin. And only two people could bring it to light; Bran seeing a vision or Sandor, who was in the throne room when the Stark soldiers were attacked.
Jack Bauer 24,
She really doesn’t need one. Who would recognize her at this point if she styled her hair differently, etc.
I think the more important question is who survives in KL? I’m assuming that the fires may be limited to the Sept of Baelor and that there is a city for Dany to triumphantly enter in Season 7. But I could be wrong. Who would be at the trial or killed outside of the trial?
I agree Loras’ trial first. Either Cersei never enters the Sept of Baelor or the Mountain wraps her in his inhuman arms and takes her to safety. She’s warned Qyburn so he’s not there. The HS, the Tyrells if they are still there are burned to death. Tommen dies there, or if Cersei has arranged for him not to be there, otherwise dies. Perhaps Mace, Kevan and Pychelle met their death there as well as the Small Council would be there or Qyburn or Varys have them killed by the little birds. Qyburn? Perhaps, if Varys has retained control over his little birds.
So who lives? Cersei, the Mountain for certain. Beyond that, it is anyone’s guess.
WF – no one dies. Mel is chastened but survives. Jon needs her the Great War to Come.
The Twins – may Lord Walder and the other Freys choke on their laughter.
Jamie survives or does he. If Brienne shows up, Jamie might be departing. Bronn, honestly I don’t see his role going forward except as a fanfav, but I really don’t care.
1. The King’s Landing storyline is difficult to predict, because there seems to be a lot of moving parts. I think there will be a lot cliffhangers from King’s Landing, but the overall plot will center around the wildfire. Cersei ignites the wildfire killing the High Sparrow, and Tommen. Margaery escapes, presumably back to High Garden.
2. We will obviously see the fallout between Davos and Melisandre as well as the conversation between Littlefinger and Sansa, but I am expecting a big surprise in Winterfell. Option A: Something found in the crypts of Winterfell, that they leave us hanging with till next season (possible history for Jon). Option B: Another Stark Reunion (Arya). In the show is becomes pretty possible for someone to make it from Braavos to Winterfell in one show. Possible Option C: We get to meet Howland Reed as house pay honor to the newly restored House Stark.
3. It would seem like the dinner at the Twins would have to end horribly, but I am not sure that Jamie (A Lannister) should be the one exacting that revenge. I know that the Hound and the Brotherhood without Banners are heading north but I could definitely see a stopover in the twins first…. wouldn’t make too much sense but it could be worse.
Deaths: Tommen, High Sparrow, Loras, Lancel, Lyanna Stark (via flashback), Walder Frey
Trial and KL
Cersie waits in the Red Keep while Loras’s trial is on. She calls for Tommen to come and meet her before she will agree to appear, ensuring he is not in the Sept. This is the point a Wildfire bomb/cache is set off in the Sept. I don’t think she will play high jinks with her son’s life. Cerise wins the day.
Winterfell
John and Sansa talk about Bran, and the possibility of his returning as the head of House Stark. They agree to be Wardens for the time being, holding Winterfell in trust for Bran. Sansa will head Winterfell, Jon will prepare a force to defend the Wall.
House Stark traitors, like Lord Karstark, get to choose between execution and joining the Nights Watch, so John gets reinforcements for the Wall.
Davos and Mel talk it out over Shireen. Mel explains that no life, even an innocent girls, is more important than saving mankind. She made a mistake with Stanis, but she did it with good intentions. I can’t guess what Davos will choose, but if Mel gets sentenced to death for Shireen’s murder, John will use Longclaw and the sword will turn into Lightbringer.
Bran wargs the White Raven seen in the preview, and spots a Frey army waiting at Moat Cailin. Littlefinger planned to “join the Frey”, and we haven’t seen them with LF yet, and Walder seems awfully happy about something. Sansa gets the heads up from Bran somehow, (whispers on the wind), and double crosses LF.
The Twins
Jamie goes to the Twins to secure the prisoners left from TWOTFK, and a castle and bride for Bronn. He expresses his doubts that the Freys will be able to hold what they won, and is suitably insulting.
We then get a cut to Arya in the Riverlands meeting up with Nymeria and her pack of wolves.
Deaths
Pycell, Kevan, Margery, Mace, High Sparrow, Loras’s will be burnt but will live, Mel.
Other
Vareys, Queen of Thorns, and Ellaria Sand will meet in Dorne to align against the Lannisters, and with Dany. Dany will break up with Darrio. She will ask him to stay in Mereen to command the Mereen forces.
1. No trial when septa unella & HS are discovered in flagrante.
2. Everyone puzzles over how to dispose of wunwun.
3. Dinner is awesome until “Uncle Qyburn’s Every-Flavored Murder Beans ™” are served. Walder’s last words- “I think I got death-flavored!”
4. If we don’t get either 1) ToJ conclusion or 2) the words “mummers’ farce” in almost any context, the fandom dies.
As to the Trial predictions –
I got mostly nothing, but questions:
IF the Trial goes forward… the charges against Cersei are incest, (with her brother), and murder (regicide of Robert), yes?
IF the Trial goes forward with Cersie, AND she shows up AND she’s found guilty of regicide, (Lancel helped with the regicide, so he testifies), what would the sentence be?
IF the Trial goes forward AND she’s found guilty of incest, (who can testify and is the Book of Lineages and Histories still around?), what is the sentence for that AND does this not cause Tommen to not only lose his mind but also dethrone the poor child?
Lots of badness to go around.
(If the Burning of Kings Landing goes forward, please let Seriously Pounce make it out alive. )
Will be fascinating to see what the Lannisters will do
Eg there army is freed up after re-taking Riverrun
Presumably, if Cersei does blow up the Sept and rid herself of those pesky Sparrows she is freed up
Big question as to whether she goes after Joffreys killer (Sansa) or Myrcella’s killer (Ellaria)?
If I had to guess, we may have a Lannisters/(Freys?) against the Starks/Arryns, Eg Starks/North don’t have much of an army but if there is a RW 2.0 then the Freys and RL forces are spent as well, meaning it is predominantly Arryn armies only slightly diminished vs the Lannisters who are apparently the largest army albeit battle weary and things are by and large balanced
and we might get the Tyrells against the Dornish and invading Dany first, which will be great if we get to see Randyll Tarly leading armies
Dany is perhaps on her way to Westeros, but Euron seems to be replacing Ramsay just as Ramsay replaced Joffrey, so he’ll perhaps make some headway in holding her up or half of her force,
Followed up in S8 with Dany overcoming Euron and then Randyll on her way to KL with Dothraki as projected in S1
Ghosts Lunch,
It’d be fun to see the Lannister army march North. Jon and Sansa have enough men to hold off a siege and Winter has finally arrived. There is no food for their army and an army of the dead will be coming. Good luck to Jaime outside of Winterfell. Dany may not even need 100,000 men when she lands. Besides the Tyrell’s, which is a huge army, the rest of Westeros is pretty depleted. I’m also assuming that Varys will strike up a deal with Dorn and add those troops to her army. It’d make sense for her to go after the Reach first if she comes to blows with the families in Westeros. They have the most food and she has a lot of mouths to feed.
1. People keep saying KL will “burn”, people will get locked in the Sept, etc. Wildfyre in the amounts that are rumored to be there will explode like a massive bomb, just like in the Battle of Blackwater. Things may burn afterwards, but the Sept and other places will be eviscerated. My prediction. Sparrows die. Tommen dies. Pycelle and Kevon die. I think somehow Marge survives, as she has been scheming and is up to something. Need to keep the Tyrels in the story, although I’m not sure why yet.
2. North – a lot of speculating that Jon will be King of the North. I think that is too straight forward for our hero with nothing but tough roads to travel. Sansa will accept to marrying Littlefinger, and LF will be in line to become Warden of the North. Sansa promised him something in that letter. Jon (the current bastard still) won’t like it, and especially won’t like Sansa’s lack of family unity, as well as her new cavalier/arrogant attitude (another 18 year old who thinks she knows it all now). Eventually this will come back to bite Sansa and be her downfall.
3. The Twins – Don’t think Arya can get back here in time. Jamie could turn on the Freys, but I think he just wants to get back to KL. Ultimately, I agree with others that BWOB, Hound, Breanne, and Pod all get united (Hound and Breanne conversation would be fantastic), and then they crash the Frey party. Breanne is there and she manages to save/spare Jamie. Now Jamie can travel back to KL next season and find out that Cersei blew up the city, including their last child. This will finally be the last straw for him and he finally won’t be able to forgive her, and Cersei will be left utterly alone and isolated.
I think the Cleaganne Bowl happens in s7.
Wall coming down will be the s7 finale, IMHO. There will be a struggle at the Wall with Bran & Co., and it might take and episode or two before it finally falls.
4. If we don’t get either 1) ToJ conclusion or 2) the words “mummers’ farce” in almost any context, the fandom dies.
TheKingWhoCares,
I had forgotten about Howland Reed–where was he during this battle? Had they sent a raven to him asking for his aid? Wonder why his house was absent? (Did I just miss it?)
English is not my mother tongue sorry, but I hope it’ll be comprehensive enough lol
1 The Mountain will kill Septa Unella and
. Then it’s Loras’ trial, he is saved and goes out of the sept. Margaery will tell everyone that she’s pregnant. Second is Cersei’s trial, but she looses it, then she is condamned to death, and Tommen too because he’s no longer legitimate. Cersei have to watch his son murdered by the Faith Militant while Qyburn puts the city on wildfire… Mace, Margaery, Kevan, Lancel, High Sparrow, everyone dies ! But i don’t know how, Cersei helped by the Mountain will not… Loras won’t be killed that’s why Olenna survives this season, she could make Loras a serious pretender to Daenerys.
2 Mel told Jon she had no power in episode 9, so Jon will believe it… she didn’t saved his life, the Lord of Light did… maybe he’ll let Davos decides… Jon will be sure he won’t come back if he dies again.
After the Tower flashback, the camera goes to Jon and Littlefinger in the crypt. Baelish tell Jon who his true parents are, then Littlefinger slaughter Jon’s pretention to the throne of the North and can marry Sansa or make SweetRobin marry her.
3 Victory celebration at the Twins with the Freys, Jaime and Bronn (we won’t see Edmure). Walder heard of Boltons defeat and tells “the Freys and the Lannisters send their regards” because he knew Ramsay married a Stark… Jaime find a Frey girl for Bronn and tell him he will marry her. The theatre troup from Braavos is at the feast. Arya wears Lady Crane face, and kills Walder Frey. Then the BWB (and the Hound) enters and kills everyone by surprise. Jaime is kept prisoner by the BWB. Beric is killed in combat and don’t want a resurrection.
4 Septa Unella, Pycelle, Kevan, High Sparrow, Lancel and the FM, Mace Tyrell, Margaery, Tommen, Qyburn, some inhabitants of the city…
Karstark (if he didn’t die offscreen), Melisandre or Davos, Edd and the NW, Benjen (even if i’m sure Melisandre has a lot more to do she’s fascinating but who knows with this show…)
Walder Frey and his sons, Bronn, Beric Dondarrion
Daario (i don’t know how but i want him dead, even offscreen i don’t care)
IMO we won’t see Royce, SweetRobin, Brienne, Pod, Jorah, Euron, the Tarlys again this season. We may see Sam and Gilly arriving at Oldtown where the fleet of Euron arrives.
gc reb,
I read somewhere that House Reed has no army. This makes sense because Greywater Watch is an island that moves (“Lost,” anyone?). Besides, Meera said that ravens can’t find it.
It would be very cool if instead of heading for The Wall, Meera takes Bran and Benjen to meet her dad. She will be able to find her home and get them there safely–and maybe the WW can’t/won’t follow them.
Someone in another thread noticed that after she killed the WW with her dragonglass spear, she picked up his sword. This person linked to a photo clearly showing swords near both her and Benjen at their campsite. His/her theory is that it’s one of the missing Valyrian swords, possibly Blackfyre or Dark Sister:
http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Valyrian_steel
I like the thought that she and Jon are twins, but I’m not convinced.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Part of me thinks that they’ll just end up having teased us with the wildfire and we won’t actually see that happen. But then another part of me thinks about how stubborn and desperate Cersei is, and I can’t imagine her actually going to trial. Hard to say what will happen here. As was the case with Arya getting stabbed (was it her? was it Jaqen? Etc.), the Blackfish dying at Riverrun, the Vale saving the day, and other recent events I’m likely forgetting, I should expect the obvious: Cersei will release the caches of wildfire and most/all of those in the Sept of Baelor will perish.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Like most, I imagine LF’s infatution with Sansa is half creepy old dude who was obsessed with Cat, and half power-hungry old dude who wants to be Warden of the North. I imagine he’ll try to make some sort of indication at wanting to marry Sansa and be named Warden, but that the rest of the North will finally unite under Jon.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
I hope so. I feel like Arya meeting up with the BwoB and the Hound and then crashing the twins seems so perfect, but I’m trying not to get my hopes up.
4. Who will die in the finale?
All of the faith militant (including High Sparrow/Septa Unella/Lancel)
Maergery Tyrell (please let me be wrong)
Walder Frey (fingers crossed)
Harald Karstark (if not already dead)
Lyanna Stark (via Bran-o-vision)
Sleeper pick: Daario Naharis
TPTWP,
It signifies that winter is here, something along those lines. All houses get the white bird as like a warning. Im not sure if the bird get sent from the Walkers or what, but it is important. We’ll see for sure Sunday.
Grayven Reyne,
Please let number three be true, pretty pretty please?
LL of Darkwater,
“Ser” Pounce…. seriously autocorrect? Jeesh.
1. The trial is a big question for me; I assume Loras will be required to atone for being gay, I am not sure if Cersei will be tried as she may have a BIG distraction in mind.
2. The Starks in Winterfell have a problem to deal with in Littlefinger, I hope they figure this out sooner rather than later. My wish is for Sansa to realize he is disingenuous and put him out of his misery.
3. Celebration at the Twins. I am hopeful that Arya will be successful at poisoning the Freys at the head table.
Who will die:
Tommen-It will be revealed he is the result of twincest, he will get angry at Cersei and approach her angrily and Ser Robert Strong will dispose of the threat to Cersei.
Freys – at least the Walders (fingers crossed)
If the wildfire rumors are true, the casualties at Kings Landing will be great – hopefully Pycelle, Kevan and Lancel Lannister, and the Head Sparrow to name a few, I personally hope that Qyburn and Ser Robert are amongst the casualties…but probably too much to wish for.
thurg00d420,
The Citadel sends out the white ravens, they sent one to KL/Red Keep in season 1, 2, or 3.
‘Light of the Seven’ on the soundtrack is incredible.
I think the King’s Landing scenes will be the standout moment of the episode and possibly even the season.
1. Dany will arrive/ Cersi will be burning up some of KL.
2. Night King will be arriving/ choosing who will be ruling winterfell Jon vs Sansa
3. I hope so!!/ Nothing
4. Tommen; High Sparrow;Qyburn; Loras; Kevin; Pycell;
Wouldn’t it be awesome if all this time, Qyburn, the Sand Snakes, and/or Margaery/Olenna is actually working with Varys as his big little birds, ensuring the destruction of Cersie Lannister?
1 Cersi will burn her enemies but somehow Marg will survive with young spineless king wrapped around her finger .
2 Sansa is Wardeness of the north and Jon prepares the houses to fight the white walkers
3 The Freys will pay but likely not from Jaime . Arya ,The Hound & friends ?
4 Lancel & Kevan , lots of sparrows high and low .
The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
I think Loras will die. Actually, I have the feeling that almost everybody will die due to Cersei using the Wildfire to avoid the trial. She knows she will lose, and probably the rumours that Qyburn was talking about were referring to the Mad King hidden Wildfire.
I have many ideas in my mind, but I’m sure that something big will happen there.
The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Even if the Starks had finally take back Winterfell, that doesn’t mean they are safe now. I’m worried about Littlefinger request, and I suppose will include Winterfell and Sansa.
I curious to see if now the Northern houses will support them in war for the Long Night or be cunts like before.
Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
There are two possibilities. The first is that the dinner end horribly (maybe Jaime tricking them?) or they end up doing something terrible. Everybody’s hoping in Arya’s arrival, but actually I can’t think of any way or reason that could happen. I know she has her list, but ehy… I hope she will hear about her brothers taking back Winterfell.
Btw, I have almost no idea of what will happen at the Twins, maybe something from the books, even though the story hasn’t been set during the season. I really don’t know!
Who will die in the finale?
Or better, who will live in the finale? Imo, Kevan and Pycelle will be the firsts to die (by the hand of Varys?). Then in my list, there is Lancel, Tommen, The Mountain, High Sparrow & Co., Mace Tyrell.
Melisandre is in a risky situation as well now that Davos found out about Shireen’s death. The most important thing is that NO ONE of my favs will die.
carbonUnit,
I agree. Only if the Faith Militants pulls off a really nice performance, it will make for some tension at the trial of fiddles.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Loras will probably have his trial first, give up his lands and title, and accept his sentence (walk of shame?) Cersei’s trial will start as planned – but Cersei will have given Qyburn instructions as to when/ how to ignite the wildfire – maybe with a secret signal. She may plan to use the wildfire as a last resort. She may or may not have an exit plan for herself, perhaps for Tommen too, if he is present. (here The Mountain could come in handy?) The sept and most of the city will burn. Probably the whole city, bringing Dany’s vision of a throne room full of ash to life.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Davos & Melisandre will have a show down. I don’t know what Jon will do with Melisandre – he literally owes her his life. He may lock her up, or Davos may kill her. Jon & Sansa will resolve to not keep secrets from each other. Littlefinger will make a big power play – perhaps try to force Sansa to marry him, or somehow win influence over the North. I hope that the castle and lands of House Bolton go to Davos or Tormund. Jon will try to get his house and alliances in order, to stabilize things in preparation for the real war with the white walkers. Hopefully Ramsay’s dogs will be put down via crossbow in their kennels.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
If it does end horribly, it will be horrible for the Freys. Walder may try to convince Jaime to marry one of his daughters. Arya or the Brotherhood may show up to kick some ass and cross some names off their list. Someone earlier suggested that Brienne and Pod could be captured, I really hope not, but it would be VERY gratifying to see Jaime f**k up some Freys to set them free!
Who will die in the finale?
Tommen, Loras, possibly Margery and Cersei. The high sparrow, and basically all of the faith, and the citizens of King’s Landing. Maybe Melisandre (though I hope not). Kevan and Pycelle (in the fire – I think Varys is going to Dorne!) Walder Frey and some of his progeny.
Roz’s Ghost,
That’s why she forgoes her claim and allows Jon to be elevated. That or the house refuse to accept Sansa and go for Jon. Our limitless morning so t be to impressed with Sansa if the truth comes out about Sansas deception. While Jon showed honour if not intelligence by attempting to save his brother.
We gave all missed one thing at it was mentioned in an early ep along with the BWOB, wolves in the riverlands.
Simon,
That’s our little lady of mormont not our limitless morning.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Gendry finally rows his last row and glides that boat into the KL harbor like “dude.” At which point Cersers blows the whole place up and everybody dies screaming. Then Dany shows up and her ancestral throne is just a gaping crater and she’s like “dude” and the Dothraki, who have been promised mad plunder are all like, “uh, dude.”
Actually I have next to no notion of how the KL stuff will go down and therefore I’m looking forward to it the most, despite not being real engaged with it through most of this season. I hope the Hound at least shows up to keep my hopes for a 2017 Cleganebowl alive.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Mel will get what’s coming after all last week’s “maybe your purpose is to just die, who knows lol” talk.
Tensions between Jonny Snow and Sanser (and/or Littlefanger, and/or the Wildlings, and/or Davos, depending on what happens to Mel) will set a tone of uncertainty and inner turmoil.
I don’t think there will be any Karstark & Umber executions… it’s not a significant enough loose end to tie up on-screen. If those families come back at all, it will be for the heirs of the traitor lords to swear fealty to the new Stark regime, showing us a contrast between the honorable Starks and all of the other merciless fucks in this world who would sooner disintegrate enemy houses and bestow their properties and incomes upon their friends… but high honor doesn’t seem to be where Sansa’s character is headed, nor is mercy Jon’s way.
Or if Karstark/Umber executions are handled on-screen it will serve as another point of contention between Sansa and Jon, i.e., one of them would rather keep them as prisoners to leverage their relatives and associated houses.
Maybe Bran shows up too? Perhaps as an animal if not bodily.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
No, they will have a nice roasted fish of some sort and go to bed early–at which point a girl with no name will sneak around murdering all of them.
Who will die in the finale? (in order of “totes dead” to “maybe?”)
– Tommen
– Loras
– Walder Frey & misc. Freys
– Lancel Lannister
– Lady Melisandre
– Jaime Lannister
– Cersei Lannister
– Daario Nahariaiahas
– Kevan Lannister
– Gendry
The Bastard,
Wait-WHAT??
Who says only 14 episodes left??? NO!!!!
Dana,
Jack Bender (the director of episodes 5 and 6) kinda confirmed Season 7 will only have 7 episodes and the last season will have maybe 6 or 7.
There’s definitely gonna be wildfire involved in KL. Am I the only one who thinks Cersei may die this episode? I think Tommen will die, as well as everyone else except for (hopefully) Margaery and Mace, I want them to live but that’s just my wish 🙁
As for Winterfell I have no effing idea. I hope no one dies.
And for the Frey-Lannister scene don’t think much will happen. If Arya gets there that’d be too quick for my liking.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Cersei is not going to have a trial. She is going to burn KL with wildfire.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
The North will have to start rebuilding and preparing for the Winter. I am worried because they lost so many men during BastardBowl. The WW are coming to the Wall very soon.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Yes. Dead Freys everywhere.
Who will die in the finale?
Tommen
Freys
HS
Probably lots of people. I think the finale will be a bloodbath because they have to get rid of everybody that will not be part of the final stretch.
In KL:
last season ended with Cercei at her lowest; this season she’ll get her revenge with the mountain, ending the Faith Millitant including death of HS- I think Tommen might be an accidental casualty; I’m not sure about Marjorie, But I think she has an escape plan. I don’t know what losing the last of her children will do or if/how Cercei can legitimately take back power at KL? mace, Pycelle and uncle Kev will be killed.
In winterfell:
Jon apologises for not trusting Sansa’s advice but He still thought of her as the young idealist girl he knew. Sansa apologises for not trusting Jon with molestown/LF meeting etc but she has been so betrayed by so many she has learned she can only trust to herself.
They both forgive each other and agree to put their trust in each other going forward. I think they honestly both want this; family first.
Also Sansa has twice now said to Jon ‘your advisors’ in such a degrogatory tone re Davos based on what Brienne has told her about team Stannis using blood magic.
I think Davos’ rage at mel re Shireen’s burning will enlighten Sansa about Davos’ good moral character – how against this lord of light Davos was/is – it’ll be absolutely heart wrenching -he loved that little girl and he’ll win Sansa over. Mel’s been so depressed all season, I don’t think she’ll recover her from her guilt. She won’t be killed but I think we’ll see her take off her necklace and she’ll slip away – linking us back to her shock scene in episode 1.
LF; like to see Sansa set him up to admit his crimes against the Vale (maybe by being overheard) and he’s confronted and killed. He’s part of the old regime and the balance of control of GOT has shifted back to the Starks. Jon and Sansa get overwhelming support of Northern houses. The north remembers.. yeah yeah a bit late.
3.the twins
‘Regards from the Freys and Lannister’s?’ is Walder sending a threatening message to the Starks after hearing of events at Winterfell? Or is he congratulating himself on yet another alliance/betrayal? Together with news of KL this might set Jaime in a new direction for next season.
Killed episode 10:
Tommen
HS
Little finger
Pycelle
Uncle Kev
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
I think that Loras will be the first to stand trial and plead himself guilty of all crimes accused. After an arrangement between Margaery and the High Sparrow, he will be allowed to live as a penitent in the ranks of the Faith Militant and renounce his name, all of his titles and inheritance. Margaery should have a plan to free her brother from that deal later on, but unfortunately for her, when the time comes for Cersei’s trial, she won’t show up. Cersei will have a plan of her own to blow up the Sept of Baelor and the Red Keep should something happen to Tommen, and Tommen will definitely die, suicide is the most possible out for him, seeing how unhappy he is at the moment (he’s pretty much sending his mom to the grave and Margaery isn’t sleeping with him). After Tommen’s death, shit will go down and Cersei will kill a lot of people with the wildfire.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
LF will offer Sansa marriage so that they can rule the North together and Sansa will not give him an answer right away, she will ask for time to decide. Jon will confront Sansa about not telling him anything of LF and both will recognize they should have done things differently (Jon should have asked for Sansa’s advice and Sansa should have told Jon about the possibility of LF helping them from the start). They will start assessing who can and can’t be trusted in the North. Karstark wasn’t seen on the battle, so he is most likely alive and hiding in Karhold. The Manderlys haven’t shown up, the Umbers are dead (unless there are younger heirs or sisters fo Smalljon who will have to choose between pledging allegiance to the Starks or rebel. The problem is that the only big force in Winterfell is the army of the Vale, and Jon and Sansa know that LF is not to be trusted, because all he ever seeks is power. Davos will be asking for Mel’s head, but with all that is happening with the northern allegiances and the war against the WW, Jon will not choose to execute her, only to banish her from WF (she will find Arya coming back home early Season 7). When LF comes demanding Sansa for an answer, the Wall will go down and the WW will invade Westeros, thus The Winds of Winter. Bran be like “Oops.. I did it again…”
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Yes it will, but I don’t know what will happen, I’m thinking of three possibilities. Maybe Jaime will pull a book Jaime and slaughter the treacherous Freys out of respect for Catelyn and Brienne. Maybe the Brotherhood will pull an Arya and crash the dinner to avenge the Tullys and the common people that have suffered because of the Freys and the Lannisters. Maybe (and this one seems very unlikely to me) the Manderlys do make an appearance after all and, instead of the Frey pies, they just slaughter every Frey now that House Stark is back in charge to win favour with them once again.
Who will die in the finale?
Tommen, Walder Frey, Black Walder, Lame Lothar, Margaery, Loras, Lancel, High Sparrow, Pycelle, Kevan, Dolorous Edd and a bunch of casualties from the dinner at the Twins, the Wall going down and the big fire in King’s Landing.
Pikidu,
Agreed! It should be that LF just paid back what he owed Sansa, so all even. I think it’s just that she promised he’d be ‘rewarded’ in her letter to him – I like to think Sansa chose her words very carefully and it’s a ‘just’ reward – LF justice for Ned/his death!
1- Loras is forgiven and sent to high garden. Cersei is banned to essos. Tom men jumps out of window. cersei is informed by septa which is killed by mountain. Cersei burns the septon. Tyrells leave.
2- John becomes king of the north. Davis kills Mel and leaves.
3- aria gets her revenge on the Freys. Nemeria pack shows up.
4-Freys dye on hands of arya, picelle and Kevin by varys, Tyrion, septa, tom men, HS, septa
Lol. You just killed off just about everyone. Bet on every horse and your bond to win. Ha
Dom,
Wait and see
You know I’m not sure if I should post this here or in another thread but I’d like to recommend Matt Easton’s Scholagladiatoria channel… maybe I’ve mentioned it before? I can’t remember but I wanted to share that he does GoT battle reviews from time to time. Here is the Battle of the Bastards video he just posted! Well worth watching if you like learning about battle history, weapons, strategy, and such.
I just really hope that Sansa at first says yes to marriage with LF, then shanks him in the gut as they hug. Probably not, but that is what should happen.
Margaery will have a large role during the trials. Just not sure what it will be. Why show her giving her grandmother the picture of the rose if she doesnt have a plan?
I dont see Littlefinger asking Sansa to marry him. This makes no sense to me. She wont want to and he doesnt need to. Im guessing he will want to control her decisions going forward and may threaten her with pulling his army out of the north. Im also thinking Bran arrives at the wall, Arya arrives at winterfell and not the Twins.
No crazy bloodshed with Jamie and the Freys. Jamie and Cersei have lost sight of whats going on around Westeros and Walder is going to remind Jamie of that. Mainly that the Starks, who Walder tried to extinguish, have taken Winterfell back and are gaining support in the North. That has to be the Freys largest concern at the moment. Why would Walder want to kill Jamie or vice versa? These two houses are major allies. They will be scheming on how to take care of the Starks, again.
Who dies? Hmm, probably the high sparrow. Maybe Qyburn. I have to think Varys is heading to Dorne but he has to know whats going on in Kings Landing. I dont think Qyburns little birds ever stopped being Varys’ little birds. I could be totally wrong here though and Cersei does indeed burn the place to the ground.
In KL
Jaime agreed to let Edmure and wife and child go live in safety at casterley Rock in return for surrendering at the siege. Maybe Jaime goes to the Twins to escort the Frey wife and baby back to Edmure at Riverrun to see his promise honoured? Maybe Walder ridicules him, the ‘oath breaker’, about keeping oaths and suggests what they should really do with Edmure – send his head to the Starks winterfell with regards from the Freys and Lannister’s? Clearly Walder has no honour; would be more than a bit distasteful for Jaime to be regarded as anything like late Walder Frey but on top of that Jaime has promised to protect the stark girls and might actually be happy to see them safe at Winterfell. Hope jaime isn’t ordered to use Lannister army get them back out of Winterfell! Moral dilemma.
So I’m trying to figure out what happens this Sunday with Melisandre and I do think she dies but not before Davos/Jon sees her true form. The question is does she willingly sacrifice herself or does someone kill her? I hope Jon doesn’t, to satisfy Davos, execute a woman who by all accounts appears to have changed from the conniving smug witch she used to be into someone that seems to regret the bad things she’s done. I mean, yeah maybe she should still pay the price but I don’t want that to fall on Jon’s shoulders. Then I went back to find Liam’s two truths and a lie. What does anyone think he was going to say about Longclaw?
“[A character] will be silenced, that’s a truth,” he says, before realizing he’s given away a major plot point. He tries again. “Longclaw will… oh no, I can’t be doing this, because that’s ahead of the f–king thing!”
Ghostlove,
Who would gave Jamie the order, Cercei? She’s got bigger fish to fry right now and he doesn’t answer to Walder Frey. If his son the king ordered it he would have to make the attempt but again it’s not something Tommen would do, he’s more a pacifist, and besides, KL will be dealing with internal crisis in the finale and if Tommen gets offed there is no heir to replace him.
Mel is found dead by Jon and Sansa and Davis disappears from their camp…implying he did it.
Dom,
Remember there were pictures from filming in mereen were shae was spotted? Well, maybe she’s a “faceless man” (she is dead after all) and will now off Tyrion. Big question is, who “bought” the hit…
1. Cersei and Loras will be found guilty at their respective trials. Loras will escape KL with the help of Olyvar and try to make his way back to Highgarden. Cersei will give Qyburn the word to go and get the secret thing she whispered to him in Ep. 8 (probably some of the wildfire). She will burn the Sept of Baelor.
2. At Winterfell Jon, Sansa, etc. will try to restore order and make plans for what to do next. I believe he will behead Karstark like Robb beheaded his father. More northern lords will come together to strengthen the north. Word will come via ravens about what is going on elsewhere (Riverrun, the Wall, KL, etc.) I have a feeling that Jon won’t stay put but will go somewhere to try and avenge someone, but who remains a question: he could go to the Twins with his reinforced army, or back to the Wall to connect with Bran and Benjen. I doubt he would march on KL until he has settled some things in the north first. We probably won’t see him leaving yet, but just making plans.
3. The Twins and what could happen there is such a fascinating scenario. Many things could occur, but my favourite idea is that the BWB and Sandor will go there to try to take revenge on Walder for the RW but the sight of the Lannister troops will stop them. They may find someone they could resurrect who would then bring forth an idea. The meeting between Walder and Jaime should be to merely reinforce their alliance because I see no purpose in the two of them falling out. It wouldn’t benefit either of them. But it’s interesting that the two of them would be together right at the time that someone who wants revenge could also infiltrate the castle without being seen. It would be highly satisfying to me if this person/s could start bumping off some of the people within the castle (borrowing that scenario from the scenes in the books at Winterfell which never happened on the show).
4. Who will die in the finale? Hmmm…good question. This is my list of possibilities:
– Margaery
– Tommen
– High Sparrow
– Lancel
– Kevan
– Pycelle
– all the other sparrows, septons, septas, etc.
– Walder Frey
– some other Freys
– some Lannister men (but not Jaime or Bronn)
– Karstark and other traitors to the Starks
– Littlefinger (because I think his storyline has come to an end)
– Grey Worm
Henry Gordon,
LOVE these!!! LOL.
“1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?”
There will be a trial. A lot of people will die (in different ways), including Tommen, Cersei, Kevan, Lancel and many more Faith Militant, Robert Strong, and the High Sparrow. Most will be quite literally toast. Margaery Tyrell may or may not survive; Loras Tyrell will live but Olenna and Mace will be toast. (Loras will ultimately ally with Dany.)
“2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?”
Licking wounds, building alliances, preparing for the war against the Others, vengeance will be planned against the Freys and Lannisters. Littlefinger either dies or becomes aligned with the Starks and/or neutered and sent back to the Vale (he still has Harrenhall as well).
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Most of the Freys and many Lannisters at the Twins will die, (including Jamie), most by poison, though if there is any justice, Arya will cut Walder’s throat.
Who dies:
1. The Lannister line ends. That includes Jamie at the Twins, Tommen, Cersei, Lancel, and Kevan all in KL. All toast (a couple literally toast). Qyburn and Pycell die as well.
2. Most of the Freys die at the Twins. Their legacy becomes questionable and the Starks will eventually decide the ultimate disposition of the Twins.
3. Riverrun is returned to the Tullys.
4. The remaining Starks will live.
5. Varys will make a deal with Dorne to support Dany.
6. Dany will head for Westeros with her dragons, some Dothraki, Missandei, some unsullied will also go and some will stay to hold Mereen. They will travel on Greyjoy’s fleet and captured slaver ships.
The powerful land owners remaining: Stark, Tully, Tyrell, Arryn, Beilish, Sand (Martells are gone), Greyjoy, Tarley. Families that helped the Starks will be rewarded with the enemy’s lands.
All these resolutions will be short lived. Littlefinger won’t last very long regardless – as long as Tyrion and Sansa live, things will not go well for LF.
Feudalism is has no future. As soon as the dragons and the others die, magic will end as well. The Citadel will rise.
Forgot about BWB. Ned Stark triggered it’s existence by sending Beric out with a force to kill the Mountain. Sandor Clegane will join them and they will show up at the Twins at the same time as Arya.
1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
Cersei’s going to burn it to the ground. I unsure of Loras’ fate – on one hand, he seems due to die, narratively; on the other hand, Margaery’s act seems most likely driven by the goal to get freedom for herself and Loras.
My money is on Loras meeting his end this week, but if it’s at the hands of the trial, then we’re going to see some fall out between Marg & the HS – or at least inklings of her plan moving forward.
Cersei isn’t going to go through a trial, because (1) we don’t have time for her and Loras both to go through the proceedings, I’m guessing/hoping, and (2) I think she’s already resigned to her fate. If she does go through the trial, she will be sentenced to death.
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Mel is going to be sent south? I really have no idea what’s going to happen, but it looks like Davos is definitely confronting her, but I can’t imagine Jon sentencing her to death after her role in his revival. The North also needs to begin rallying southern forces, while maintaining Winterfell. Mel seems like an odd person to send, so I suspect I’m wrong on this one.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
Dinner will be boring, and Jamie and team will leave for KL afterwards. Immediately following, Arya Stark enters and kills Walder. His death seems imminent given his re-introduction this season, and I can only imagine it happening at the hands of Arya or the Hound. Arya would be more satisfying, so that’s who I have my money on.
Jamie will be headed back to KL, positioning him for a devastating reveal in the S7 open.
For good measure..
Who will die in the finale?
In my order of most confident to least confident…
1. Walder Frey
2. Tommen
3. Loras
4. Cersei (her time has come but I think we’re due for a final Jamie reunion first)
Has any one discussed the possibility of wolves playing a role in the riverlands. I mean Walder did mention Riverrun, TBWOB and packs of wolves as issues to be dealt with. With Arya coming back I’d suspect we could have another stark reunion coming up – of the furry kind. It’d be good to see a super pac take out some Freys and Trumps. What do you think?
RE: the North.
To me, Sansa has only just begun. The Vale riding in wasn’t the end of the battle for Winterfell it was the beginning for her. To me, the predictability is the set up to distract from what Sansa has masterfully done but making Littlefinger, a notoriously unpredictable player now “predictable”.
Here’s my theoretical argument for why Sansa ABSOLUTELY needed to keep the Army of the Vale from Jon: LITTLEFINGER.
If Sansa had told Jon (and the gang) – Sansa would have been pushed to the side out of discussion and her advantage over Littlefinger would be wasted. Worse yet, Jon & Davos would be making an allegiance with Littlefinger! Littlefinger would basically eat Jon for breakfast before even starting to play his daily Game of Thrones. She knows Jon and he would be brave, bold, and stupidly honorable. He swore to protect her that night and then the very next day was basically suicidal on the battlefield after attempting to rescue Rickon. So much for trying to protect her!
Sansa has seen what happens to people who still fight with courage, honor, and love. She also has seen Littlefinger do the following:
throw his own “devoted wife” out the friggin moondoor
betray the Lannisters who gave him everything
plan to betray the Boltons, even as he married her off to Ramsey
Yes, she knows Ramsey, but she definitely knows Littlefinger. The only thing worse than having Ramsey as an enemy is Littlefinger as an ally.
She also knows it’s WAY better if Littlefinger is paying off a debt to her, than for Jon to make an allegiance with Littlefinger. Plus, in Littlefinger’s scrambling to get back in her good graces, Littlefinger even revealed what weakness he would take advantage of in Jon: he’s a bastard. We all know Jon would absolutely fall for whatever manipulation Littlefinger would exert over Jon with “I know who your mother is” and from that crypt scene in Season 5 – I’m pretty sure Littlefinger knows
. Sansa was both protecting Jon from Littlefinger while risking Jon for Winterfell in the same game move. In the end she got to kill Ramsey using, wait for it, hounds! The “little bird” has become a killer! Here’s hoping The Hound gets to see what has become of Sansa. That’s going to be fun.
I actually believe that Sansa is somewhat emulating Lady Olenna: Willing to risk Jon & Rickon as innocent pawns (Sansa herself had been one in Joffrey’s murder) and keep your mouth shut until the deed is done, enemy defeated and even then: keep mum. She’s lucky that Jon survived. That’s the part of Jon that Sansa doesn’t know – JON ALWAYS COMES BACK – even when he doesn’t want to.
Did thousands of men need to die? Apparently. But Jon & Ramsey both are just as guilty of that consequence. There are also show examples of commanders being tricky & unconventionally sneaky with their attacks: Tyrion, Tywin, Stannis. Sansa wouldn’t know military strategy but she was hoping Jon would try something creative other than 1-1 combat to prove who has more courage to fight for his men. Good grief.
Remember Rob Stark sacrificed 1000s of men to make the Whispering Wood attack work and capture Jamie. He knew they would die and felt terrible about it as well, but he had to do it. Of course, he had the men to do it and they all men squarely pledged to him. If Jon had the Vale army “pledged” to him – that would mean Littlefinger would be pledged to Jon – Sansa knows better than to have that arrangement ever happen. That is what led to Ned getting himself locked up and eventually killed. So Rob Stark does a similar sacrifice and we all think it’s awesome because they capture Jamie, but Sansa does it and gets Winterfell back and everyone calls her “a stupid little girl”? Well done to us, internet. Well done to us.
I think Sansa will have Littlefinger by the balls and will act very much “Oh thank god you rescued me, how can I ever repay you?” (now emulating Margery) but will actually be setting him up for her revenge for all that he has done to her, her family and the realm. Especially because – she doesn’t need him anymore. She has Winterfell, Jon, and the allegiance of the North. Littlefinger is worthless now and wants her …and she knows that.
Again, it’s a theoretical argument and only on Sunday will we know if she is a badass who is manipulating Littlefinger by playing off his own predictability, or if they make Sansa as stupid as Arya walking around Bravos with septic shock. I’m hoping it’s the former.

1. The trial is here. What will happen in King’s Landing?
This ought to be a scene heavy in religious symbolism. Not sure what the punishment might be for those on trial if they refuse to confess but I think both Cersei and Margaery have quite alternate plans for this event. Tommen, as per usual, is a bystander, manipulated by all sides.
I think Margaery will intervene on her brother’s behalf and plead for mercy. She may even entreat her husband to acquiesce, given the extent of his suffering. Cersei will be scandalised (again) and signal to Qyburn to light the spark that sends everyone scampering.
Another delightful possibility is that Margaery enlists her grandmother’s help to murder the King. To kill Tommen before the Faith and his mother? That would really send Cersei over the edge…*rubs hands cackling*…and leave the High Sparrow with no other option than to place Margaery on the throne?
2. The Starks have won. What will happen in Winterfell?
Winterfell has to become base camp for all reinforcements to battle the White Walkers. Ravens will be sent south to warn of the coming danger and the previously defiant houses of the North will have no choice but to bend the knee to Sansa. I suspect that Clegane and the Brotherhood will arrive there just in time for the rallying of the troops, prompting a touching Sansa/Sandor reunion. He won’t serve her as he did before but respect her for surviving and thriving after what she’s endured.
3. Will dinner with Walder end horribly? What will happen at the Twins?
It better! The Freys are really of no use to anyone at this point. If Jamie has a soul (and I don’t believe the show version does) he’ll tell Walder where to get off. But I suspect he won’t because he just wants to get back to his beloved, no? Ugh…
I’d prefer to see Walder’s teenage wife slice open his throat actually. That would be utterly satisfying.
Will we see Edmure’s wife and baby? Do they even exist? Hope that puzzle is sorted out and again (if Jamie has a soul) he’ll send them to River Run.
Who will die in the finale?
I’m going with Walder Frey.
Perhaps Melisandre too. I mean, she’s done her part. She won’t miss being alive anyway. We know the old hag she really is! Lol…
Stuart,
How can the Lannisters become extinct if Tyrion still lives? He has no handicap in the baby-making department as far as we know… 🙂
Tyrion will dye in the finale
Mark,
I agree! I feel exactly the same way. A lot of people seem to overlook what a real threat he is.
Simon,
Jon will end up being named King in the North. 100%.
LF doesn’t give a damn about the North. He would rather have the Iron Throne. He could take Jon with the Nights of the Vale right now if he wants. But he will do better marrying Sansa and making a new Alliance with Jon. Jon won’t care about the Iron Throne. LF can have it. Jon knows what’s important. After Cersi burns KL, it’ll be easy to take. I’m 80% sure about this. But 100% about Jon being KitN.
Dom,
I’m pretty sure things will pan out that way re Jon being KINTN. Not so sure LF will invade the south though. Jon and the others will convince them to join the battle to come. Why would LF do this? to impress Sansa and its just another rung on the ladder of chaos to be trod. If there are any goals in the south I’d say its the Riverlands and taking the Frey’s out. Though perhaps after that Sunday night they might not be a pressing concern. Remember the forces of Dorne and Highgarden will be probably be rallying soon under D and their focus will be focus on the south to begin with. If anything LF might join with them but then again Cersei’s action are likely to make KL a non issue and Westerlands the real point of conflict with Jamie our Lord of Lannister. If Jamie turns on Cersei however he may in fact go over to Brienne and the Stark’s as well and join the honorable fight. I’m not expecting this to play out next season. If Tommen dies they may do a Mel/Davos thing with Jamie learning the reason for his sons death latter in the season.
OMG their another year of speculation ahead. Where is that fricken book.
We will see what happens on Sunday. I agree Dany is going to land in Dorne first. Dorne is a natural ally. Especially with a female ruler now. All the LF stuff will happen next year. Maybe LF asks for the marriage and proves himself again’t by taking back River run and dealing with the Frey’s first. I hope Arya shows up and handles Walder thoughmy that would leave his incompetent son in charge and easy pickings for any force that wants to take the Twins. Curious what is up with Edmure as well. Is he still a prisoner? Did he get his wife and son back? Maybe Jamie brought him back to the Twins or left him at River run. Can’t wait.
Simon,
After arya is done with the Freys, she meets nimerya on her way out. That the last scene….

-Jamie trying to find the girl gets caught by BwoB, He is taken to see “her”, Arya follows
End of Scene
During a parley between Elleria, Varys, and Olenna , Olenna is poisoned

Pikidu,
I’d like that. I suspect they’ll instead troll us of with …. “Promise me”.
Dom,
I suspect he is the one being given regards.
I would believe most of this could happen 😮 very good predictions!
Didn’t think about that. I can’t see Jon kneeling to LF though.
Tycho Nestoris,
The “Merrett” description, as you call it, was for the recasting of Lothar Frey. He’s been in two episodes so far and he’ll be in the season finale, so that’s three. And we should see the Manderly figure in the finale, I think.
