Game of Thrones betrayals bracket reaches the playoffs

Does the post headline make little sense to you? Well, do not worry, this is just to report on a little bit of HBO and Beamly-run fun that can help you pass the time until the latest episode of GoT – in case you haven’t heard about it yet.

Game of Thrones betrayals bracket pits together memorable moments of betrayal on the show, with the audience invited to vote on their favourite shockers and reversals (though since only open betrayals count, Oberyn’s death and Joffrey’s poisoning are not included, for instance). At this moment round three is coming to an end, deciding on the winners of each season.

Go vote and enjoy browsing the results of previous rounds. There have not been any big surprises in my opinion, and I believe everything is set for a big finale showdown between Ned’s beheading and Roose Bolton stabbing Robb. Who do you think will people vote for as the most memorable betrayal?

  1. Good time voting, I went with

    Season 1-Joffrey beheads Ned

    Season 2-Theon takes Winterfell

    Season 3-Roose betrays Robb

Season 4-Tyrion killing Tywin-was in the minority on that last one. Most people were picking Shae betraying Tyrion, but I had to go with Kinslaying.

My guess is Roose’s stabbing action wins it all for Betrayal of the Series.

  2. Winnie,

I voted the same way, except for S4. I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes down to

    Joffrey/Ned vs. Roose/Robb

Anyone have favorites for best (or rather worst) expected S5 betrayal?

  3. I voted the same but season 4 I went with Shae/ Tyrion.

    Season 5 betrayal:

I think everything around the Faith / Walk of Shame. It seems from trailers that Cersei will use Olyvar to testify against Loras. I wonder if Cersei will be led by a behind the scenes Littlefinger to use Olyvar to accuse Margery of having a threesome with him and Loras. I think that’s why we had that scene in ep 1 of Margery being in the room with naked L&O. Margery is arrested. This ends up being a trap for Cersei which results in her own arrest and the walk. Olyvar later says he lied because Cersei threatened him or even lies that she had sex with him to get him to do it. This would put the characters except for Loras where they were in the books. The show doesn’t seem to have the Kettleblacks to be LF’s agents, so it will be Olyvar and perhaps LF directly influencing the situation.
  4. Talking about Playoffs, the Hockey playoffs air at 9:00 PM tonight in Eastern Canada, that’s the same time Episode 2 of GoT will air.

Sadly, that and the leaked episodes will affect the viewership this weekend. 🙁

  5. Lion of Night,

    Season 5 prediction:

I bet Hizdahr betraying Dany will be a pretty big deal, considering he has been one of the most reasonable people in Meereen so far. Maybe it will be what makes Dany realise she should leave the place.
  6. Does anyone know how long tonight’s episode will be? Have to be at work at 10 and wondering if I can squeeze it in!

  7. This is probably the final round with how things look…. I’d vote Roose betraying Robb as worse than anything else that happened…
