After a steady block of continuous filming in Dubrovnik, the Game of Thrones cast and crew are taking a well-deserved break today.

Watchers on the Wall Awards: Best Dramatic Scene

We have a major category for you all to vote on today: Best Dramatic Scene of season 4. There were dozens of nominees in the preliminary round for this award but the five strongest contenders were clear in the polling results.

Some of the nominated scenes could’ve been predicted by savvy ASOIAF readers, but the show also has surprised us with their own well-received twists on the story. We’re spoiled for choice, really.

Game of Thrones filming begins in Murlough Bay, and a royal procession moves through Dubrovnik

Filming for Game of Thrones season 5 has recently moved to a new location in Northern Ireland: Murlough Bay.

The bay is a remote location in northeastern County Antrim, with gorgeous views overlooking various Scottish islands across the North Channel. It was previously used to film scenes in seasons 2 and 3; Theon’s horseback ride with Yara, and Davos’ rescue from being shipwrecked by Salladhor Saan.

Game of Thrones filming in Dubrovnik, Croatia continues today in preparation for the fifth season of the show.

The production team is holding back no expense, as we have seen from the vast number of images shared by various sites and collected here over the past few days. Today, filming moved to the Jesuit Staircase in the Old City, a popular tourist destination.
