After a steady block of continuous filming in Dubrovnik, the Game of Thrones cast and crew are taking a well-deserved break today.
Over the past five days, different King’s Landing scenes have been shot in the Croatian city. One of our sources recently took a trip to Dubrovnik to see the sights firsthand, and has kindly given us a collection of his own images to share with the fans.

Just a few days ago, photos from the latest Game of Thrones filming in Dubrovnik showed Finn Jones with his castmates on set. Jones joined Lena Headey and Dean-Charles Chapman in the Croatian city that serves as King’s Landing, but fans were uncertain what role Loras will be playing in season 5.

We have a major category for you all to vote on today: Best Dramatic Scene of season 4. There were dozens of nominees in the preliminary round for this award but the five strongest contenders were clear in the polling results.
Some of the nominated scenes could’ve been predicted by savvy ASOIAF readers, but the show also has surprised us with their own well-received twists on the story. We’re spoiled for choice, really.

Filming for Game of Thrones season 5 has recently moved to a new location in Northern Ireland: Murlough Bay.
The bay is a remote location in northeastern County Antrim, with gorgeous views overlooking various Scottish islands across the North Channel. It was previously used to film scenes in seasons 2 and 3; Theon’s horseback ride with Yara, and Davos’ rescue from being shipwrecked by Salladhor Saan.

Game of Thrones filming in Dubrovnik, Croatia continues today in preparation for the fifth season of the show.
The production team is holding back no expense, as we have seen from the vast number of images shared by various sites and collected here over the past few days. Today, filming moved to the Jesuit Staircase in the Old City, a popular tourist destination.
With over 50 preliminary nominees, the category of Funniest Quote was a rough one for the Watchers on the Wall Awards. In the end, however, five finalists stood apart from the rest and earned the most votes- and three of them are from the same episode, spoken within minutes of each other.

Filming in Dubrovnik continues today for Game of Thrones season 5.
The past two days of filming in the Croatian city have been well-documented by photographers, and it looks as though today will be no different. Dubrovniknet.hr has provided some images of today’s filming on what appears to be a market set in the streets surrounding the Church of St. Ignatius and the Jesuit Complex.
