The Cast of Game of Thrones goes musical for Red Nose Day

After three teasers we finally have the full version in all it’s musical glory! Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin recruits the cast of Game of Thrones (both alive and dead, alike) to recreate the series in his image: a musical.

The feature is for Red Nose Day which is an organization that provides relief to children and young people across the U.S. and some of the world’s poorest communities. To donate to the cause, please follow the link here.

We’re glad to see so many of our “fallen” cast members return for this awesome cause!

What was your favorite segment? I’m partial to Emilia’s “Rastafarian Targaryen” and Kit’s “Wildling” myself. Let us know in the comments below!

      “Rastafarian Targaryen” probably my favourite.

    2. Usually these “non-comedians trying to be funny” things suck ten-out-of-ten times, but that was pretty good.

    3. What good sports! I loved all of the dialogue between the actors, especially John Bradley and Brody and Iwan and Alfie.

They even got me to donate!

      Good job, guys!

    4. Definitely partial to Closer to Home… The first romantic ballad about incest.. It’s a hit, I’m sure!

Dat moment when Alfie walked in.. Couldn’t save my drink from coming out of my nose..

    5. The only thing i missed is Iwan Rheon singing “Flayin’ Alive”. Complete with castrate Alfie Allen imitating the Bee Gees’ high pitch.

    6. The Alfie and Iwan moment was hilarious.
And I need a full Rastafarian Targaryen on iTunes now!

Also Rose with those fries is one the best things ever.

    7. The choreography was just crap! No fight scenes??? What kind of script was this? Is it plausible that Theon and Ramsey hug each other? This was purely fanfiction IMHO. And the costumes… meh…they didn’t even try to make costumes! Sorry but I am not going to donate and I will boycott the series in all eternity, that’s for sure…

    8. Still Going Strong by Peter, Rastafarian Targaryen by Emilia, and the first romantic ballad about incest by Nikolai were my absolute favorites! 😀

    9. Where’s Maisie in all of this? Eye of the needle by Sia? Also, don’t forget that Tom Wlaschiha covering Engelbert Humperdinck’s “A man without love”..

Myranda, Iwan doing that Nirvana cover would’ve been hilariously tongue in cheek – but really fitting the storyline lyrically.. Myranda: “Am I the only one?” Ramsay: “My favorite inside source, I lick your open sores, I appreciate your concern, you’ll ways REEK and burn..”

Charlotte Hope is certainly getting a lot out of this guest role.

    12. Why do you have to be so likeable out of character Iwan Rheon??? XD Yeah that bit with Alfie was great. Kit’s “Wildling” was my favorite. I think Rose Leslie’s enthusiasm about it was genuine. 🙂

The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre

Come on Stannis, light my fire
Come on Jon Snow, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhH!!!!!

    16. Woah, Kit Harington is becoming hotter and hotter as he gets older.

The cast is simply amazing they always seem as if they genuinely enjoy their time together. There were quite a few great moments. Love the scene between Reek and Ramsey, and Jojen tricking Sam for the last nuggets.

    17. Cersei’s Wine Goblet,

      Pigeon,
Did not have to touch the lyrics that much:

      Here we go!

Well, you can tell by the way I sharpen knives
I’m a Bolton man: I skin men alive.
the screams are loud, the blood is warm, I’ve been kicked around
      I was bastard born.
And now it’s all right, it’s ok
But don’t you look the other way
So tell me now, and please be brave,
Which limb you think you want to save

Nature or nurture, I just love torture.
      I’m flayin’ alive, flayin’ alive
Feel the Starks breakin’ and Winterfell shakin’
And we’re flayin’ alive, flayin’ alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, flayin’ alive, flayin’ alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, flayin’ alive

Well, I was born low, now I climb high
I’m a jolly man, my laugh’ll make you cry
One day I’ll stand in the mad king’s shoes
      I’m a Bolton man and I just can’t lose
You know it’s all right, it’s ok
But don’t you look the other way
So tell me now, and please be brave,
Which limb you think you want to save

Are you Yara’s brother or my stepmother
I’ll flay you alive, flayin’ alive
Feel the North breakin’ and all houses shakin’
And we’re flayin’ alive, flayin’ alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, I’m flayin’ alive, flayin’ alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, flayin’ alive

      (Reek)
Life goin’ nowhere, somebody help me
      Somebody help me, yeah
Life goin’ nowhere, somebody help me, yeah

Well, you can tell by the way I treat my girls
      I’m a Bolton man: I’m such a charm
The screamin’ loud and women warm
At heart a flayin’ man, since I was born
You know it’s all right, it’s ok
But don’t you look the other way
So tell me now, and please be brave,
Which limb you think you want to save

you think Stannis is badass, well I’m the real menace
      I’m flayin’ alive, flayin’ alive
Westeros is shakin’, whatever pie is bakin’
And we’re flayin’ alive, flayin’ alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, I’m flayin’ alive, flayin’ alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, flayin’ alive

      (Reek)
Life goin’ nowhere, somebody help me
      Somebody help me, yeah
Life goin’ nowhere, somebody help me, yeah
      I’m flayed alive

    18. Rastafarian Targaryen is now my ringtone.
I need to see this live.
Jon Bradley’s grooving to Kit’s singing is everything.

    19. And noone is complaining that they sing about “the wedding of Robb Stark”? 😉
Apart from that detail – amazing! Alfies and Iwans stare had me laughing out loud.

Also Mark Addy! “I was told Sean Bean would be here.” So good!

As long as they actually make the album.

I think Iwan is by far the most attractive guy on the show, which I find particularly disturbing after the last episode. In this video, his geeky happiness reminded me so much of Daniel Radcliffe, oddly enough.

I must say that I do wish these songs were fully fleshed out, but I bet they only wrote snippets for each. I loved every single minute, although I’m not surprised. My all-time favorite comedic sketch is from a previous Red Nose Day, merging together the Catherine Tate Show and Doctor Who.

    22. Bwahahaha oh god this was gold. The Red Wedding song is quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever heard and I’m sure it’s going to be stuck in my head for days. And Emilia’s rasta voice was good! The little “Chicken Nuggets of Doom” bit was hilarious. And I LOLed at John Bradley’s adoring expression when Kit was singing – it looked like he thought Kit was singing to him not Rose. Chris Martin gets MVP though. Dude is funny!
      A++ team.

She vaguely reminded me up till now of someone I couldn’t place, now I realise it’s Summer Glau ( Summer is a FAR better actor though!).

These things often fall flat (it is known) but it was a lot funnier than it really had the right to be. I approve.
