We can expect a wild ride if the newest sample from Catch the Throne is anything to go by. HBO released today a snippet from Anthrax’s contribution to Vol. II of the mixtape.
The band’s guitarist Scott Ian says of the music, “[You] see the Mountain onscreen, it shouldn’t be harps and lutes.” The mixtape is set to have each track inspired by part of season 4. With the Mountain mention, can we assume their song is inspired by Gregor Clegane or perhaps more specifically the Mountain-Viper duel?
Last week, Killswitch Engage released a sample of their House Martell-inspired song, “Loyalty.”
Check out Anthrax’s track here:
The full mixtape will be released on Soundcloud at a date TBA in the near future.

They should bring Opeth for the next game of thrones mixtape.
Scott Ian is a toolbag. Slayer would do a much better job.
biobi,
There isn’t a Slayer any more, only the Kerry King Project.
So the “sample” was a few seconds of You live or you die preceded by thrashed E & A chords? So exciting…..meh. I did that 20 frickin years ago with RAtM and Metallica.
Come on, I’m sure Blind Guardian would love to work with HBO on GoT ! Just give them a shout !
Hodor’s Bastard,
Wasn’t it “You win or you die?”
Still not much of a sample.
Yeah, unimpressed.
Now if HBO could at least release the title of the premiere, that would be something….
