Starting today, there’s another new platform where we can enjoy Game of Thrones and the other fine programming HBO has to offer.

FandangoNOW, one of the hottest premium on-demand video services in the USA, announced today that they’ve created a new relationship with HBO Home Entertainment, making the network’s original content available for purchase via digital download on FandangoNOW. There’s some flexibility, allowing viewers to purchase individual episodes or entire seasons of HBO shows.

Game of Thrones is joining FandangoNOW’s already strong collection of 40,000 new release and catalog movies and TV shows. If you’re curious about availability and connections, the company reports that the platform is “distributed on an install base of more than 100 million devices, including Smart TVs, over-the-top (OTT) streaming players, video game systems, iOS and Android mobile phones and tablets, and online at FandangoNOW.com.

What’s available on the new platform? Starting today, you can purchase individual episodes and seasons of award-winning HBO content, including Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Girls, Divorce, Insecure, The Night Of, and Band of Brothers. In the coming weeks, other shows will launch including Ballers, Silicon Valley, Veep, True Detective, The Newsroom and many more.

To celebrate the new avenue to Game of Thrones goodness, we’re doing what we do best: having a giveaway! Courtesy of FandangoNOW, TWO winners will each receive $50 worth of FandangoNOW, towards the purchase of any of the newly added HBO series, or even something else from the thousands of hours of film and TV content available for download from the site. The only catch- since FandangoNOW is limited to the United States, the giveaway winners are as well, and must be USA residents.

  1. I’ll toss my hat in. Whether I win or not, maybe this new platform can save me from getting gouged by my cable company for HBO, which replays the same middling movies over and over.

Especially now that there will only be seven episodes in S7 and six in S8, it’s even harder to justify a full subscription.

  2. Outstanding Compositing in a Photoreal Episode goes to @GameOfThrones; Battle of the Bastards; Retaking Winterfell
Visual effect awards are happening now, game of thrones takes home first award, and many more to come 🙂

  3. Effects Simulations in an Ep, Commercial, Real-Time Project: Game of Thrones “Battle of the Bastards” — Meereen City
2nd win of the night 🙂

  4. Created Environment in an Episode, Commercial or RealTime Project goes to Game of Thrones “Battle of the Bastards” — Meereen City
3rd award of the night 😀

  5. Award for Outstanding Animated Performance in an Episode or Real-Time Project – @GameOfThrones; Battle of the Bastards; Drogon

  6. Crossing my fingers (and toes)! Thanks for the chance to win such a RAD prize!
