Daenerys and Jon Revealed as Playable Characters in Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall RPG Mobile Game

Deanerys Targaryen Abilities 1200x445

Behaviour Interactive, the video game company best known for Dead by Daylight, alongside publisher GAEA and HBO, have revealed that their upcoming mobile strategy RPG Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall will feature multiple character versions of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen.

In the game, players can recruit both characters, each with distinct skills and abilities. Reportedly, the plan is to use future updates to roll out additional versions of these characters, as well as introducing beloved characters such as Jaime Lannister, Tormund Giantsbane and Melisandre.

At launch, there will be two versions of Daenerys Targaryen: Lady of Dragonstone and Breaker of Chains. As Lady of Dragonstone, Queen Daenerys is a skillful ruler who can summon her dragon, Drogon, to burn enemies with area of effect damage. As Breaker of Chains, she is a powerful leader who can heal allies, increase ally damage, and manipulate the battlefield.

Meanwhile, Jon Snow will be available in two versions as well, as Old Bear’s Steward and as King in the North. As the former, Jon is a rounded warrior who can also heal allies and enhance their attacks. As King in the North, he is a versatile and crafty commander who deals devastating blows and improves ally mobility and damage.

Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall is scheduled to launch later this year on the Google Play and the App Store. You may pre-register here for exclusive rewards, and visit the game’s site for more information.

  1. WTF? Characters with “distinct skills and abilities”?
And: “Reportedly, the plan is to use future updates to roll out additional versions of these characters [Jon and Dany], as well as introducing beloved characters such as Jaime Lannister, Tormund Giantsbane and Melisandre.”?

    BUT NO ARYA???

What about Version #3, as S8 muh Kween-mumbling, neutered Jon Snow?

  3. Ten Bears,

    Memo to talvikorppi et al.:

Aren’t you perplexed how there can be a role-playing game featuring characters with “distinct skills and abilities” without including a super ninja assassin warrior princess?

As version 3, he knows nothing, and his character does nothing other than say “You’ll always be my queen” over and over again with no way to stop it. The game creators will pass this off as a system glitch.

Maybe this is where Arya can be introduced to the game, so she can take care of Jon’s business for him since he’s now completely useless.

  5. I’m with Ten Bears. No Arya?
But probably the game would be to easy when playing as Arya.
    Sneak +100
    Critical hit + 100
    Attack + 100
    Defense + 100
    Agility + 100
    Intelligence + 100
    What’s missing Ten Bears?

    Mr Derp,

Ey don’t steal my comment 😉

    XDDD *lmfaoooo*

  7. I’m a grown man who still enjoys playing video games but I wouldn’t get this. Firstly who wants to play a game when you know how the story ends and secondly as a general rule games made on films/tv shows are usually poor in quality because they know the brand will sell regardless.

  8. This game could/may be the best offering yet, but there still should (be) have been a proper mmorpg or rpg. The ASoIaF world is a perfect fit for one and has lore for expandable areas! These mobile games are nowhere near as good and immersive as those. The other problem is that they still charge just as much or more for meaningless little things as those games did/do for useful things.

  9. i used to be pretty awesome at Tetris and Minesweeper. i also collected some stratetgy experience by having a team on Hattrick for some years. this said about my gaming enthusiasm, let me start a rant that will make the gamers among you hate me forever.

i’m absolutely pissed by the merch avalanche coming down with GoT. it’s an insult to the work of the actors, it’s an insult to each of the story’s characters, it’s an insult to anyone who is interested in and capable of getting story and character development – like for example this community here. the crown of insulting is of course creating a video game based on a complex story. that’s so fucking low!

let’s say you estimate your life at least as interesting and dramatic as that of the GoT characters. and let’s say someone made a movie about your life. of course, you did not have to deal with dragons in your life or fight the dead (while honestly, we all have to, don’t we?).
all the decisions that influenced your life, be they made by you or by others, have reasons. these reasons have to do with life experience, psyche, character, situation – all the stuff this community has discussed in trillionized bombagallons of words about each cat running down stairs in GoT. which is good because it’s worth to be seen and discussed deeply.

the factors i mentioned above can not be pressed into a scheme of levels. but that is what games have to do, because they calculate by levels of ability. in real life, only morons trying to become OT8 do such a thing.

in a game based on a movie of your life, do you want the decisions you had to make – with bleeding heart or joyfully – be reduced to the result of a calculation? i don’t think so, and i think any character of any good story, be it movie or book, would like that neither if they were real persons.

i’m so glad “Schindler’s List” has not been a success in 2019 but much earlier, when there used to be a real life. i’m so glad “Lord of the Flies” has been a success as a book so long ago (followed by two tries to film it which naturally had to fail because, no one can create a movie that would be standing eye to eye to the pictures created by the book) and not in 2019. “increase jew’s factory working skills” or “parachuter rotting status: 97%” are things i expect some people to read while gaming without losing their stomachs…

on the other hand of course, now the petition morons have their remake. they are the directors, not failing/crooked/losers D&D, and they can even annoy the whole bus i have to use in the morning with their glorious remake. so sad some of them can’t pre-order, as there’s probably no internet access around Area 51, where they are heroically trying to free their alien friends.

so sorry for all the prejudices, but i simply cannot hold myself when it comes to certain phenomena of 2019 all day life.

I do not play game nor even pretend to understand them.

But let me venture to say that I would think that Arya would be best character to build a game around. She could be Arya, assassin and Arya, fighter.

I am unsure why anyone would have Daenerys, genocidal person and mass murderer, Jon, the simpering idiot and Jaime, a complete failure of a human being in a game that people would buy.

    But Arya…that would make sense!!
