Earlier, we posted a collection of images from today’s filming of a Game of Thrones season 5 scene in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Jutarnji.hr has provided even more images of the scene in question. For more context, see below the cut.
Spoilers below the cut.
The scene involves members of the Faith Militant storming a market/tavern area in Flea Bottom. During the raid, they toss King’s Landing peasants aside, spilling ale and causing havoc.
In some of these images we can see much more clearly the appearance of the Faith Militant members. The carvings/brands of the Seven-Pointed Star on their heads are particularly interesting. We can also see that elements of their attire differs here and there, further reinforcing either their lower-caste backgrounds, or their humility and devoutness, depending on whether or not the show is combining the Poor Fellows and the Warrior’s Sons.
The following image shows a collection of weapons the Faith Militant will use. In A Feast for Crows, the Poor Fellows are said to wield an assortment of crude axes and cudgels. A better look at one of each can be seen at the end of the video at the bottom of the page.
MAXzona.tportal.hr has uploaded a video of today’s events. In it we can see the set, props and extras, and get an overall sense of the enthusiasm and good nature on set.
High Sparrow!
I wonder if they’re going to combine the two sub-orders (Warrior’s Sons and Poor Fellows) into just one group, the Faith Militant. Wouldn’t be the worst change but I’d rather they didn’t.
Let’s hope a glimpse at Pryce in character comes soon.
The Dragon Demands,
Not really fussed if the Warriors Sons make it or not. Think if they’re not going to do the Kingsguard properly then the Warriors Sons have no chance. I think the Faith Militant works better as poor religious zealots anyhow. Splitting them into two isn’t needed for the show.
Greenjones,
I keep imagining him leering in Cersei’s face at the end of a scene, before a smash cut to these guys tearing shit up in Flea Bottom.
Kudos to extra’s casting! Those are some great character faces.
The Dragon Demands,
There will only be one, they really don’t need more. Makes sense to just call it the Faith Millitiant and be done with it.
I want to see some Sparrows now (and the High Spartow of course). There are still two weeks of Dubrovnik left.
Cian,
Anyone spot the director in the pics or the videos ? Could give us a clear indication as to where this scene will end up in the season.
Arkash,
Look the previous article, the information is on a photo*. The scenes are from episode 4, which is directed by Mark Mylod:

Considering that previous leaked filming schedules placed the scenes of Jaime’s arrival at Dorne in episode 4 as well*, I guess Cersei’s own storyline for the season kicks off the minute that Jaime is out of the picture, which makes perfect sense.

Arkash,
The previous article had a picture of a slate saying episode 504.

I’ve been wondering if Gendry takes on the name Waters, and becomes a knight in the Warrior’s Sons. Then we could have both Lancel and Gendry there for Cersei’s arc this year. And ultimately, if Gendry is considered for the Iron Throne, it might be the Faith Militant that puts him there.
From reddit: the set is not far from a basketball court

spacechampion,
Ooh I like this idea. Been wondering how they can reintegrate Gendry into the plot. It feels weird to have him just rejoin the Brotherhood after they sold him to Melisandre. This is an interesting alternative. My only quibble with it is that Gendry seems like a very “live and let live” kind of guy. Feels like we’d need some kind of explanation for “why” he’d join. Maybe he hits rock bottom and has no alternative or maybe meets a surrogate father-type who convinces him… Jonathan Pryce perhaps?
