Thanks to the good people at FUN.COM, we’re giving away a fantastic prize package themed on a dearly departed character from the show. One that we definitely will never see again and that is 100% absolutely super-dead forever. We’re all sad because he is so very very gone from Game of Thrones.

    Happy accident as Bob Ross used to say. Not intentional or planned. GRRM was going to have Jon hang Slynt and fans convinced him that would be out of character for a man raised by Ned Stark who taught him “the man who passes the sentence should swing the sword.” GRRM agreed and changed it. Works out well with Sansa’s earlier thoughts but it was not intentional.

    Yeah, I heard about this before but I always found it interesting that Jon, more than anyone else in the series, except for perhaps Brienne, embodies the qualities of the heroes and knights in the stories that Sansa fancies so much at the start of the saga.

I’m in the UK so not competing but there are some adverts running on the commercial TV stations (not just the paid for ones either) in the UK about how it is possible to buy hand-painted figures of Game of Thrones characters. I’ve been trying to peer to see if the figures are by any of the makers that have been mentioned on this site but haven’t managed to suss them out yet.

    I was just looking at that still of Jon Snow bleeding out and I noticed that all the blood and stab wounds are around the stomach area.
    Not only is there no blood where the heart is…there isn’t even a cut in his leather vest where his heart is

    You know re-watching season one, I completely forgot how badly Jon wanted to leave the wall to join Robb in the fight to save Ned. I know what his fate will ultimately end up being in this story (most likely, since nothing is certain), but it makes a lot more sense now that he will want to continue his journey and fight for what he believes in after his resurrection.

    I know this is obvious to most, but I am not a book reader and its been a while since i’ve watched GOT from the beginning. I am really enjoying re-watching all the episodes and seeing how it all is intertwined together now that most of the clues in everyones story has almost been laid out.

    I’d also like to thank all of the members of this place, its been such a joy (tower, perhaps) to read through everyones comments. Even though I haven’t read the books I feel like I have, lol. My brother is a huge GOT fan and has read the books I think twice and the other day I was basically schooling him on his GOT knowledge. This site has made me quite obsessed with the show and season 6.
