Watch the 2016 Watchers on the Wall Awards LIVE!

season6 awards

What began two months ago ends tonight. The 2016 Watchers on the Wall Awards started in early August, gathering initial suggestions for nominations from you, the readers and the fans. We collected your thoughts, your passionate opinions about the best of season 6 of Game of Thrones, and then dove into the preliminaries. After two rounds of voting, we’re finally here, with the results of the polls to the announce the winners of the Watchers on the Wall Awards!

Our ceremony will include more than just awards- we’ll be sharing our thoughts on the season and giving away Game of Thrones swag, so tune in to the ceremony, broadcast via YouTube with the video embedded below.

Our first giveaway of the evening starts NOW! The first commenter on this post wins a special prize: the newest available Game of Thrones figure from Dark Horse Comics, THE NIGHT KING! The beautifully detailed 8-inch collectible captures the menace of the White Walker king. He’s just hit the market today, but one of you will be taking him home as the first giveaway of the Watchers on the Wall Awards. Leave a comment- any comment– to win!

Update: the awards ceremony has now ended, but you can watch it on video still!

If you can’t stay for the whole ceremony tonight, we’ll be posting the results later on.

Thank you to everyone for joining us, a massive thanks to Greatjon of Slumber for his work on the awards, and a huge thanks to everyone who took part in the nominations and voting process! There would be no Watchers on the Wall Awards without you, and we’re immensely grateful.

  1. I voted Tower of Joy because Battle of the Bastards had some weird narrative problems. We don’t know if that was purposefull, in fact I think not – the director rewrote it.

They won the Writing Emmy for BotB.

  3. Sansa and Jon? No….it’s not a good match. They just don’t go together! Arya is going to have to pay a price for all those on her “list” she has killed. Taking lives like that doesn’t come free.

    A Swag Pac YAYA! Brienne
