A New Reign: Go behind the scenes of House of the Dragon with the men in charge

The House of the Dragon press engine is revving up! With Comic Con just around the corner, you can expect treats to roll out on the regular now and we’ve gotten a fine one today! “A New Reign,” a behind-the-scenes making-of video was released, focusing on the men in charge of the new series, featuring fresh interviews from George R.R. Martin and showrunners Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan Condal. The short video includes tons of new looks at HOTD and the cast. Gather round and enjoy the goodness!

The “reign” here refers to the showrunners clearly, with the message heard loud and clear- there are new sheriffs in town and they want to be taken on their own terms, not lumped in with D&D. Will the fans give them a chance? Hey as long as they put on a good show, sure. Probably. Maybe.

  1. Weirdly the video is saying it’s restricted and I need to see the Google Workspace Administrator for explanation?

  2. Great video. I must say the more I see and hear, the more encouraged I am that this is going to be excellent viewing.

  3. I really wish HBO would release more of this on their own platform. I searched HBO Max just yesterday for House of the Dragon material and all they have still is the one full-length trailer. Everything else is only on YouTube. Fine, but it’s hard not to get drowned out by misleadingly titled fan content (“official” trailer that is absolutely not official and doesn’t even contain footage from the show).

  4. My feelings are still relatively luke warm about the show but this short video and the fact that they want to stay true and make it feel like GOT but with it’s own feel gives me room for optimism it will deliver.

When does it release next month?
