Watchers on the Wall’s Take the Black Contest – Day Three!

The Wall can be a cold and unforgiving place, so we Watchers need to find some way to keep ourselves entertained. But, since we can only remember half the words to “The Rains of Castamere” and none of us can play the harp, a good, old-fashioned sing-a-long is out; as is a brief trip to Molestown (too poor), or a foray into the Haunted Forest (too scary).

So instead, we bring you, dear readers, a celebration of you, our black brothers (and sisters) in arms with a week-long giveaway of some of the finest merchandise in all the realm!

Each day this week, we will be giving away a fabulous prize graciously donated to us from The Noble Collection, which is world-renowned for their high-quality merchandise and prop reproductions.

Today’s prize is their Viserion Baby Dragon Sculpture which stands at an adorable 4.5 inches in height, and typically retails for $39.00.

  12. My favorite character has to be Bronn. I love his wit and sarcasm.
    Also, Stannis Baratheon. Because he’s a badass.

  22. All the Starks were my favorite except Sansa of course but now with everything that has happened Dany is my favorite along with her beautiful dragons. Tho I still love Arya and Jon Snow too:)

  29. The Lannister brothers and the Stark sisters. Plus Sam, Davos, Brienne, Jon, Cersei, Danaerys, Bran and the Hound.

  31. My favourite is Tormund Giantsbane/ Thunderfist. Tall talker, Horn-blower, Breaker of Ice, Husband to Bears, the Mead-king of Ruddy Hall, Speaker to Gods and Father of Hosts.

    Did I get them all?!

  37. On both the page and the screen, my favorite character remains Jaime Lannister. Tyrion and Cersei are close behind, and Tywin’s in the Top 10 as well. Despite having a large degree of sympathy for the Starks and the Northern cause, I just find the Lannisters to be endlessly fascinating. What a gloriously messed-up family.

  39. Arya all the way!

    Although if I were to break it up between the books and the show it would be Tyrion (AGOT to ASOS) with Arya as a close second. The show however has put Arya (especially with the Hound) at the top of the list overall!

  52. My favourite character right now would probably be Jaime Lannister.

    Ask me again in two weeks and it’d be Arya. And two weeks after that I’d be saying Victarion has all my attention.

    Truth is, it has always been Hot Pie…

  78. Jaime, absolutely. Although I’m preferring book Jaime to show Jaime; I hope they take his arc in a cool direction this season!

  85. Jon Snow in the books; Sansa Stark, Jaime Lannister, Bronn, Dolorous Edd in the show.
    It’s almost impossible to only have one favourite character in this series.

  90. My favorite character changes all the time but right now it’s probably either Sansa or Jaime. Which is kinda funny since I didn’t like them at all when I started the show/books.

  96. Already added to my always evolving list of Men-with-whom-I’d-like-to-be-stranded-on-a-desert-island: Tyrion Lannister and Jaqen H’ghar.
    They meet all the criteria: the hearts, the minds, and the looks to be of constant entertainment to a lady. That would be me.
    And I’ll keep my eye on Daario.

    Jon Snow: “You drank the wine?”

    Dolorous Edd: “It’s an awful thing to find a brother dead. You’d have need of a drink as well, Lord Snow.”

  123. Margaery Tyrell. She is someone that knows how to play the game of court life so well. She’s devious and wonderful.

  127. Arya has the luck to have had TWO remarkable companions! I can’t choose between The Hound and Jaqen H’ghar.
