  1. How did everyone leave their comments so fast?🤷‍♀️ Was hoping to be the first one! Oh well, I LOVE these awards!!❤️

  2. Best Supporting Actress: Diana Rigg as Olenna Tyrell

Best Supporting Actor: Alfie Allen as Theon Greyjoy

I personally voted for Indira Varma and Rory McCann, but I’m very happy with these winners! How could you not be?

  3. Best VFX Scene: The Dothraki jump through flames, as Drogon turns soldiers to ash and lays waste to the loot train

  4. Best Guest Actress: Bella Ramsey as Lyanna Mormont

I’m going to miss Rosabell as well. Her work in the dungeon scene with Lena and Indira was heartbreaking.

  5. Bella Ramsay as Best guest actress!!! 🎉 lol true, Manderly was sitting right there but speech went to the little girl in the room

  6. I think I’ll have to wait to watch this unlive. My weak-azz laptop is buffering all the time! Was curious to know what the prizes were too.

  7. Ugh it froze at best all around quote!!! Who got it?! I mean I only heard the Brit lady reading them all and Samantha getting all squishy softy because Book quote from Ned ☺️. I’m totally for Berric Dondarrion’s

It was Sansa’s classic quote. I’m sure Jared will post the whole thing in a second.

  9. lol! Can’t wait to go to Con of Thrones this year and have some fun gift shop/coffee search experience with cast members 😉

  10. TormundsWoman,

It was ‘When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.” Sansa Stark, “The Dragon and the Wolf.’

    The Brit Lady 😉

  11. Best All-Around Quote: “When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.” – Sansa Stark

I was pulling for the Beric speech, but I adore Sansa’s quote as well. Season 7 had so many amazing lines. It was impossible to go wrong in this category.

  12. Geoffery,

Omg! Did I put my foot in it?! It’s super dark there and vid kept freezing on me so I couldn’t hear proper. Is it a gent then?! 😳 I’m goIng to shut up now and hide in a corner.

I was confused at first, too, but Geoffrey’s bio says Lady Geoffrey.

  14. Best death scene: Littlefinger! Brilliant acting by Aidan, Sophie, and Arya, killer lines, that scene was one of the highlights of the season for me.. sad it didn’t win but glad it made the finals.

  15. A bit late (as per usual) but congratulations Wolfish !!! *Little dance of joy and happiness… And drunkenness ^^* 😀

  16. Best Speech: Olenna Tyrell sends her regards to the Lannisters

I’ll refrain from typing it all out, but we all know the one.

For those who didn’t get to hear Oz’s live reading of Cersei’s speech while imitating Lena, you have my sincere sympathy. You missed something truly iconic.

  17. Jared,

Jamie’s face at that was just… 😔 I mean sure Goff really was a cunt and Cersei is possibly the worst person Olenna ever met but really, no one deserves to see his child die.

  18. Best New Costume: Daenerys’ white fur coat worn for the ice battle

I’m glad this won. All of these categories were extremely hard, but for me, this was the easiest choice of the year.

  19. I feel the Loot Train Battle / Field of Fire is not getting a fair shake here.. I was literally screaming the entire time.. I thought the emotions were totally there, especially Tyrion and Jaime being on opposite sides, Jaime facing down what is basically as Matt Shakman (maybe?) called the weapons of mass destruction of their time.. The sea battle was fantastic but the scale and emotional punch of the Field of Fire I thought was the biggest of the entire show, all seasons. I was very impressed with it emotionally not just for special effects

  20. Haha, you and I are watching different versions of “Law & Order” I’m dying here!

Hope Frozen lake battle takes it but it looks like Loot Train or Seabattle may win it

  21. Best Battle: The Loot Train Battle, “The Spoils of War”

    Jaime’s girl,

Well said! I was emotionally riveted throughout the Loot Train Battle/Field of Fire (and the Frozen Lake Battle), and not just because of the visual spectacle. Making Jaime the focal point was a brilliant choice. We’ve grown to care about his character deeply, and I felt like I was right there on the ground with him, Bronn, and the Tarlys, experiencing all of the horror and awe that such a fearsome display of power and savagery would unleash.

  22. Best Dramatic Scene: Olenna Tyrell accepts her fate and sends Cersei a message on her way out of the world

The Queen of Thorns is cleaning up tonight!

  23. Best Lead Actress: Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen

YES! Across all seven seasons, I think Lena Headey is the best actor on the show (male or female), but I voted for Emilia this year. I thought Season 7 was her best, and her work in the scene with Jon in “Beyond the Wall” in particular took my breath away. She doesn’t get nearly enough credit for the subtleties she imbues into her performance.

  24. Neat. For once I agree with Emilia taking the award. Weirdly enough, unlike everyone else, I thought she was good in the scene where she lost Vyserion!

“Losing her least fave Dragon.” Lol. Terrible.

  25. Might be Nikolaj’s best performance in the voting ever! Yes he does have a strong fanbase 😉

  26. Best Lead Actor: Kit Harington as Jon Snow

No surprise, and well deserved. This was his and Emilia’s season. I’m glad that Nikolaj put in a strong second place showing as well.

  27. You guys are so funny and loopy, like you are all drinking vast amounts of Dornish Red and enjoying every fluffin drop of it, you are making me laugh out loud, and I desperately need a good laugh these days. Thanks for doing this. I didn’t get here until a little while ago, but glad I finally remembered you were doing this tonight.

Yeah for Kit Harington as best actor!! That was my vote, as was Emilia.

    Carry on, and thanks again.

  28. Gimme gimme the Beyond the Wall! Don’t break my heart peeps!

1 min later… Fine, Spoils of War it is. It really was a wonderfully made episode.

  29. TormundsWoman,

“Beyond the Wall” got my vote. Polarizing though it may be, I unequivocally adore that episode. I’ll love it until my dying breath.

“The Dragon and the Wolf” came extremely close, however. And I have no qualms about “Beyond the Wall” winning. Brilliant, breathtaking episode.

I love “Dragonstone” as well. Amazing season premiere. For me, Season 7 was a triumph all the way through.

  30. Jared,

I wish I could explain why I like it quite so much. It has a pull, a fascination that surpasses any other really in the series. I can remember every pixel in my mind the way slowly Jon realizes the battle is lost on the top of the rock in the middle of the frozen lake, I can conjure up in my mind every detail and undulation in Beric’s voice when talking with Jon about the meaning of resurrection and what’s their purpose, Dany’s frozen shock and hurt at seeing Vyserion plunge to his death. I wish I could explain it properly, but I would probably make a mess of it and in the end it won’t be even a fraction of why.

PS Thank you WotW team for the fun awards!

  31. thanks to everyone involed from the the folks here who participated in the voting and the discussions, and to all the mods who did the background work. A job well done!

BTW how do the actors find out, and do they get anything?

  32. Jared,

Cool! Glad you agree! Yeah when I saw that it was basically the director’s call to make Jaime the focus as the VICTIM of a Dragon attack, I was like wow that’s brilliant. Rather than the more conventional choice to have Dany as the focus. Also the terror of war really came across, not as shiny knights, but as real ordinary people getting burned to death… I thought it had bigtime emotional impact.

  33. Thank you to all at Watchers on the Wall! You guys are all so funny! Thank for bringing your followers these awards, they are fun and love seeing what fellow fans think! Sooooo….no awards in 2018!😭 Great to see the new faces too! Best fandom in the world!

  34. Jared,

Yeah I’m not sure if I was around then but Season 3 was definitely his strongest material so that makes sense. Obviously Kit was going to win this year but I’m glad to see Nik got his due in 2nd 🙂

  35. Wolfish:
    Tyrion Lannister!!!

    Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!

    SamColeman:
And the Sam Coleman Award for best White Walker impression goes to SUE (because she keeps freezing)

    Too good! 😄

  36. Pigeon,

    Thank you!!!

And thank you SO much to all the WotW for this very fun evening. I won’t bore you with details of my personal life, but suffice it to say that last year, when I was going through a very dark time, the ability to connect with fans and people with other similar interests on this site became an integral part of my everyday coping skills. You all rock.

  37. Wolfish,

I did not follow along with the Awards ceremony, but I take it you won something. However you did it and whatever it was (a GoT wine glass or stemware?)….

Congratulations! I’m happy for you! Now quaff that Dornish Red! You deserve it. 🍷

  38. Ten Bears,

Thank you! I won a stemless wine glass (which I prefer!), “I Drink and I Know Things” (which I’d been eyeing!).

I’ve moved on from Dornish red to a bit of Cognac to wrap up the (very productive) three-day weekend. And I’m halfway through S7, Ep7 to wrap up my fourth watching of the last season. 😉

  39. Wolfish,

Congratulations! That glass suits you! Enjoy! I have just arrived here and I’m glad to find out that you had won.
I wish I had been able to attend the ceremony. Fortunately, the video is still on and I can read the comments.
