So looking at the photos the entire episode seems like it will be set over a very short period of time.
Agreed. I actually have an impossible-with-current-info to prove theory that the manifestations of dragon blood in the Targaryen family are matrilineal. If correct, the. we will eventually learn more about Rhaenys’s bloodline.
we know that Baela eventually has a daughter Laena, nmaed after her mother. We know nothing at all about if that girl had kids or who she married, but a strong candidate would be Benjicot Blackwood who has close connections later in the Dance to Baela’s spouse and Laena the second’s father. This would then imply that Rhaenys’s line became woven into the Blackwood line, from whence it feeds back in to the Targaryen family.
Also, we know that her twin Rhaena will have 6 Hightower daughters eventually, and intriguingly we also know nothing about them and which families they married into.
The theory could be nothing, but needs a more fleshed out family tree before we can know.
Rhaenys has become my favourite character, I wish she appeared more.
Sheer speculation but it seems this episode will concentrate on the funeral and have a major argument between the greens and blacks, presumably this would set-up Viserys likely death (this is not a spoiler but clearly coming from the show arc) next episode?
Man I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has grown to appreciate Rhaenys. Knowing what’s ahead, her role should expand considerably in the episodes to come.
I very much doubt Viserys will die until the last episode of the season. Everything that comes after is of such a different nature that it needs a new season.
