Inquisitor1961,
Ok guys, I love you all but I think you’re missing a point with Daenerys (especially your guest bfish). Daenerys does not have to stay in Essos to have made a difference. She has already made a difference. Those who were in chains now see as possible a free future and nothing the slavers do now can change that. All it takes for evil to triumph is for good to do nothing. Dany chose to risk everything she wanted to do something – to start the revolution. Others will complete it with her support, as they should. I predict missandei and grey worm will be the rulers of slavers bay, perhaps with some help from the Dosh Khaleen.
Mereen is not a lesson for Dany that has taught her to be evil – this is a lesson that has taught her that fire and blood can lead to a better world when used to help the oppressed.
Some might want to check out this essay btw, it includes some interesting commentary on US reconstruction and Danys Mereen story.

Oh, my sweet summer child.
By the way, the manner in which Tyrion was talking to the slavers but especially afterwards to Grey Worm and Missandei had me thinking more of Neville Chamberlain, perhaps because US history is not my cup of tea. Note that George usually makes points about the righteousness of war when he is talking about Nazi Germany.
I completely agree.
This is such a simple outcome, that has seemed to elude a whole lot of ASoIaF fans, whose preferred outcome is: Daenerys becomes evil! 😀 When an institution, which is rooted in the lack of fundamental rights of humanity, needs to be rooted out, some blood will inevitably be spilled. Danerys has learnt that she has dragons and fire-proofness so she doesn’t have to sit and negotiate with the Masters, she can educate both slaves and slavers that this doesn’t have to be the way. It’s now up to both the slaves and the slavers to remake a better world in Essos. She need not stay and hold their hands, while they transition. 🙂
Lollius Palicanus,
There’s no way Tyrion’s solution is going to hold. But that doesn’t mean Dany is going to stay in Essos forever.
I hate the theory that High Sparrow told Tommen who murdered Joffery so much, I want to scream. This, in turn, makes me realize GoT is stressing me out too much. I need to detox.
But how- JUST HOW- can ppl possible believe this is logical or feasible, ESPECIALLY people who
!
There is no indication that Loras even knows, Olenna barely told Margeary. Also, WHY would Loras sell out his family by confessing to HIGH TREASON?? And, why would confessing to HIGH TREASON help him get out of this situation? And what does the HS have to gain if Tyrells and Lannisters are at war? Tyrells provide the freaking food and money for KL!!!
plus
it baffles the mind.
Izatty,
Yeah, the way the scene plays out makes it seem like Cersei is in on the date of Marge’s Walk of Shame.
QueenOfThrones,
Exactly and completely agree with you..
