  1. Wait, I’m confused. Did they change the plot so that the succession is between Daemon and Rhaenyra? Is Aegon II not in this at all?

Let’s see. That would be, hmm, interesting. If I recall, Daemon and Rhaenyra were on the SAME side during Dance of the Dragons. So the change would be pretty drastic. But I don’t think it will happen, and Aegon II will emerge.

    Lord Freddy Blackfyre,

Why do you say that? I think they both look good

I agree. LOTR is a very different kind of fantasy show than GOT is, so I would expect them to look different especially during the time period LOTR is focusing on in the new series.

  4. That is an impressive trailer. I’ve been extremely excited for this show, but this kicked that hype into overdrive. One month to go, then we’re back!

    Zoros,

At least according to always-infallible IMDB, young Aegon Targaryen has been cast (Tom Glynn-Carney, I believe).

  5. The trailer looks impressive but I swear that if I have to watch the ‘Granny I got the job’ advert or the ‘Ready, steady, City’ one again, when I watch a YouTube video (ads for a British audience I believe) I’ll “do my nut”. I thought the Grammarly and Peleton ads were bad enough (thank goodness for the mute button). Nonetheless the trailer was intriguing.

Rings of Power looks better with every trailer. The SDCC trailer is incredible. I was cautious, now I’m hyped

    Hey everyone. Been a while!
Is this show on hbo or hbo max? Is there a difference?

Hi, Dee! Nice to see you back!

I don’t know why, music-wise, GOT season 5 trailer has always struck me as haunting and exciting. The best trailer.
The full trailer for The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug also has a great soundtrack.
Hope the trailer for season 2 of HOTD will be even better.

  9. I must say I’ve been fairly luke warm about this prequel since it was announcement and do still have some concerns but the trailer coupled with some of the press releases gives me some cautious optimism that this will be really good.

  10. Dee Stark,

Well, hey to you too! 😃 Good to see you again. I hope you’ll bring your unbridled enthusiasm to the new show. Or should I say, I hope the new show is deserving of your enthusiasm…

I am 99% certain House of the Dragon will be on (regular) HBO. Not sure about HBO Max, though I would have to assume it will be available on that platform.
