  1. I’m glad it’s nominated, it certainly deserves it; but I don’t think it should win. Literally haven’t seen any of those other shows aside from GoT.

  2. I hope it wins, but I won’t complain if The Americans does instead.
    Mr. Robot sucks, though.

  3. As far as I’m concerned, Game of Thrones should win everything!!!! But I am a bit biased!!? I have watched Better Call Saul, The Americans and Mr. Robot and Mr. Robot sucked and the other two were pretty good, but NOT GoT good!!

  4. Big Game of Thrones fan but I wouldn’t be mad if The Leftovers won. They had a great season 2.

  5. I watched Mr.Robot expecting something excellent but meh didn’t like it that much. Same with Better Call Saul, great performances but really boring. GoT for the win!

  6. Morgoth,

Did you like it pre “twist” (mr robot)?

I thought Better Call Saul was a major step back from it’s first season. Fargo season 2 was good but i wanted more aliens and explanation for ted danson’s conspiracy room.

  7. Tycho Nestoris,

Really? I loved season 2….it is an odd show though, I really don’t know what to make of it.

Yeah the alien thing was bullshit but the story arc was great. Kirsten Dunst stole it I thought.

  8. Bodog,

We talking Saul or Fargo? I liked saul 1 more than 2 and fargo 2 more than 1.

Yes, dunst was great. I liked her more than martin freeman (who i found so annoying in his effort to be annoying).

  9. Tycho Nestoris,

    Both…

    I liked Saul 2 and Fargo 2 better….

leftovers season 2 was beautiful….if you haven’t watched that show i would highly recommend it, season 1 was decent but 2 knocked it out of the park

  10. Bodog,

I saw season 1. It was interesting but (i am trying tread carefully with this next part)…it started to feel like Lost. I thought Lost was great until imo it turned into a show devoted to the last 5 mins and the “next week on”. That is my opinion and I know peeps disagree (my bro and i still argue about it). Sorry for rant. I will check out season 2 when GoT ends.

  11. I’m rooting for The Leftovers on this one. Season 2 was perfection, the show deserves much more recognition and praise.

  12. Don’t be surprised if Mr. Robot wins for OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN DRAMA XD
I heard its all the rage with the critics, the hot new kid around lol
PROGRAM OF THE YEAR will probably go to the people vs oj or Mr Robot.
Expect Mr. robot to be big Competition during the Emmys this Year, The people vs Oj will be screwing over Fargo Season 2 for Mini Series lol

  13. I’m all for game of thrones Winning Both awards of course, Mr Robot and the people vs Oj will be big obstacles in both categories.
They will probably be the shows with the most nominations during the emmys this year along with Thrones.

  17. The Leftovers deserves the awards over GOT judging by their two seasons. Leftovers was incredible, GOT was good.

  19. How can anyone say The Leftovers was sublime. The show is incredibly stupid and boring.

  20. Glad I’m not the only one not wowed by Mr. Robot, it was worth watching but I wouldn’t be upset if I could never watch it again. It clearly pushes the right buttons though being a contemporary drama with the kind of “personality issues” and the OMG twist that awards givers like.

I haven’t yet watched season 2 of Fargo but I gather it was even better than the first season. If that or The Americans won I wouldn’t be at all unhappy.

GoT has just been that bit too uneven I think.

  21. Watched Mr. Robot but it is simply not my style.

I thought Leftovers S2 was quite a step down from the first season actually. But it was good nevertheless.

Haven’t seen many of the others so I can’t really give a opinion.

  22. Matthew The Dragon knight,

A lot of these shows I haven’t seen. I liked Vincent D’Onofrio back in “Law and Order, Criminal Intent” though and he was good at comedy in one of the “Men in Black” films. I caught one or two episodes of “The Americans” and thought it was good – I can’t remember what but something clashed with it which made me miss the rest of it. Gillian Anderson I haven’t seen in “Hannibal” but I’ve liked other things she did and she’s a non-British person who can pull off a British accent (apparently she spent some time in London when she was a child). Of course I’d LOVE GoT to win something.

  23. Outlander winning over GoT in the Saturn Awards Fantasy Series Category yesterday is a joke. Just because it had a time travel scene in S01E01 doesn’t make it fit the category. GoT should have won.

  24. I am really surprised that Mr Robot was so well liked, I found it very pretentious and predictable. But then again people do have different taste.

Lord, that show is so bad too. It’s only my opinion, I know, but my god, to me it’s just a glorified romance novel plus time travel. I’m glad Tobias Menzies is getting accolades for it though. Surprised not to see him in the best supporting actor category, but happy for Kit! LOL at Brenock O’Connor going up against Maisie. He’s a sweetheart and I’m sure he’s a good young actor, but all he’s really done in the last season and a half is scowl.

O/T: I just can’t stop listening to the soundtrack. Jon’s new theme is just beautiful – even better than the gorgeous theme he and Ygritte had. And Light of the Seven is incredible. I’m undecided about whether Winds of Winter or Winter Has Come will be the closing track for ep 10. They’re both amazing and both could fit. WoW is rousing and cinematic like many of Dany’s season ending themes, but WHC has the main who theme in it, so it would be a nice credit piece. I would personally prefer not to have Dany close out the season as I feel that it’s happened too many times in the past (it would make it 4 of the 6 seasons) but I imagine her leaving for Westeros with the Greyjoys will be quite a sight. I haven’t seen any spoilers but I believe this will be the case.

  26. iridium,

Yeah, My watch has ended is my absolute favorite. The closing track will be The winds of Winter, Dany heading to Westeros, it’s seems obvious from the chorus.

I actually sighed out loud with disappointment reading your comment, because it confirms my suspicions! Damn, I really wanted them to do something different. Oh well. I’ll get over it. And I’m sure it’ll be visually spectacular.

  28. iridium,

But what different? This season will end with Dany heading to Westero. S7 will end with WW, and S8 will end with whatever the end is.

  29. mau,

Good question! I was hoping for either KL burning (if that happens), or the white raven swooping in, confirming winter has come, and then a shot of the White Walkers marching on the wall. But I can totally see how the Dany thing fits. Like I said, it’s just the repetition that annoys me. Ohhh, although I just checked, and I’m wrong: she’s only had 2 season enders so far. Is that right? S1 and S3. S2 was a WW attack, S4 was Arya leaving for Braavos and S5 was obviously Jon’s death. Still, another one would be 50% of the closing scenes. I suppose, too, I was disappointed with the speech on top of Drogon. I *loved* the burning of the Khals scene, and the Battle for Mereeen. But the speechifying left me cold, and I don’t like feeling that way.

I think that you are expected to see the world purely through the eyes of Eliott, and if like me that just doesn’t work for you then there is very little else to get engaged about.

I’m told that “Halt and Catch Fire” is a much more enjoyable tech based series, so I will try and see that though it’s very hard to see here in the UK on TV or streaming or get the boxset.
