Euron & Other Major Players Filming in Cáceres! MAJOR SEASON SEVEN SPOILERS!

Filming in Cáceres began this morning and it has subsisted the whole day despite the lousy weather —One could argue the production were quite happy for the rain, in fact, or else they wouldn’t have chosen to film in this season. Winter has come to Westeros and apparently we’ll begin to see it have an effect even south in the capital. However, as you can see in the photo above, that’s not the only thing we’ll see…

This evening, HOY shared new photos of the set at Plaza de Santa María and around showing King Euron Greyjoy and many other major characters in a crucial scene that speaks for itself… So much so that I must stress there are MAJOR SPOILERS ahead!

Yesterday, once two of the actresses for the Dornish characters appeared on Cáceres, I made some predictions, and today they are confirmed. Euron will pledge his Iron Fleet to Cersei, presumably offering a similar deal to the one he intended to offer Daenerys before his crafty niece and nephew got ahead of him, and to prove his worth he’ll attack them and the Dornish at sea. And then… Well, today’s photos speak for themselves:

Obara and Nymeria will likely die during the sea battle, Theon will escape, while Yara (seen here played by Gemma Whelan), Ellaria (Indira Varma) and Tyene (Rosabell Laurenti Sellers) will be captured and paraded through the streets of King’s Landing, mocked by the smallfolk while the victorious Euron (Pilou Asbæk), dressed in a more menacing outfit, leads the procession on a black horse. Cersei will be happy.

Director Mark Mylod can also be spotted, speaking to Asbæk, which means this sequence, and likely the sea battle as well, takes place either in episode two or three (Hint: It’s episode three.) You may also browse the rest of the pictures at HOY’s gallery.

  1. hmmm so do you guys think yara and ellaria survive this?

we know from the leaks that cersei and dany make a temporary alliance and meet at the dragonpit. perhaps cersei just keeps ellaria and yara or at least yara as hostage? i just don’t see dany allying or making any kind of compromise with cersei if ellaria and/or yara are tortured to death. cersei has to give some illusion of sanity for jon and dany to go on a wight hunt for her and agree to temporarily ally with her.
  2. Wow Euron actually looks menacing (more akin to when we first met him in 6×02 and not 6×05) Maybe it’s the horse.. lol

  3. KL peasants are fickle. I suppose now they’ll boo, jeer and throw shit at Yara for reasons they don’t know.

Ellaria as an unyielding captive in front of Cersei… That should be entertaining!

  4. To me it doesn’t make sense if Dany arrives at Dragonstone in episode 1 and the seabattle takes place in episode 2. Unless the fleet splits but that is stupid.

  5. Euron’s outfit and horse look awesome. Also, Yara seems to be pulling off a defiantly dignified look during that parade, inasmuch is possible while on a leash. Especially compared to Ellaria and Tyene, who look much more disheveled.

  6. I remember that in February or so Weiss and Beinoff said in a podcast that they were planning a season 7 scene which involved a parade in the streets of Kings Landing. Is this the scene? Until now i would have thought of Dany…

  7. Oh Yara. Look at her bruised and bloody face, and being led around on a leash. 🙁 I know she’s a hardened warrior but I fear what Euron and Cersei will do to her.

Fuck that jeering/cheering King’s Landing crowd!! It’s times like this (and also when they jeered Ned) that I wish Dany would just nuke KL with dragonfire. Sigh.

Diving into the shallow end: King Euron looks HAWT as hell. The new outfit and crew cut definitely suit him.

I’m not liking seeing Ellaria being paraded with her coat undone. Chain them up if you must but why do they have to be half undressed? Other than that, I’m loving these spoilerific pictures!

  8. Jay Targ:
Wow Euron actually looks menacing (more akin to when we first met him in 6×02 and not 6×05) Maybe it’s the horse.. lol

or perhaps it’s the rain. He does claim to bring the storm

  9. The sea battle and this scene are both episode 3? Little weird if both are in the same episode. Hopefully the battle is episode 2 and this is episode 3.

  10. Can’t wait to see this on tv. Rip Yara en Sand Snakes. But also: rip Euron. My prediction is Euron does not survive season 7.

  11. Great pictures, poor Yara. I can’t see Euron bringing her to KL just to kill her, so he probably intends to torture her instead 🙁
I hope either Theon or Dany end up saving her sometime, she deserves better than that fate.

  12. Mio:
Why are the smallfolks mocking them?

Because that’s how the King’s Landing peasants operate. They are just as messed up as their rulers 😉

  13. kaka,

I don’t see how both Ellaria and Tyene live. Cersei will either kill both of them or kill Tyene in front of Ellaria so that she is forced to experience the death of a daughter at her hands (as Cersei was forced to endure the death of her own daughter). Unless Euron really wants Yara dead, they may consider her to be worth more alive with Theon still on the loose.

  14. Yara being Cersei’s prisoner is good leverage. Because of this, I think she will keep (or at least I hope) Yara alive.

This could be a reason Daenerys doesn’t attack KL and also for dragonpit.

  15. Do the smallfolks think Ellaria, Yara and co blew up the sept or something? Lol. I just don’t see how they would explain that to them. Is this Eurons first visit to Kings Landing?

  16. kaka: hmmm so do you guys think yara and ellaria survive this?

Now that we see Yara is captured rather than outright killed in the battle I think there’s a good chance she lives, at least for a while. I can see Euron treating her as a pet, and even bait for Theon.
Ellaria on the other hand. She’s toast. Zero chance those ladies live after what they did to Cersei’s perfect little daughter.

    SG:
To me it doesn’t make sense if Dany arrives at Dragonstone in episode 1 and the seabattle takes place in episode 2. Unless the fleet splits but that is stupid.

With the spoilers & leaks I’ve been thinking all along that they don’t all stay together with Daenerys. Remember that it’s an alliance with Dany, not necessarily meaning they’ll stay and fight alongside of her. They help her get to Westeros and fight FOR her and her claim, but apparently from their home fronts instead. I believe the sea battle happens when Yara/Theon head for home with the intention of taking out Euron, possibly with some of Dany’s men to assist.

  17. CT Wahoo,

oh tyene will definitely die, she’s supposed to be poisoned by euron in front of ellaria’s eyes. thats why i only asked about ellaria and yara. i really don’t want either of them to be subjected to the same fate as unella. also the fact that jon and dany would look way too stupid for even speaking a word to cersei after that. this temporary alliance at the dragonpit seems a bit forced already, i don’t want it to be anymore so
  18. I had already said this on the other thread, but I’m going to say it again here. As far as Yara is concerned, I doubt she is going to be executed together with Ellaria and Tyene, despite being a part of this parade in King’s Landing. She is Euron’s problem, not Cersei. While Cersei might want to do some fun with the Dornish ladies in the name of revenge, I think she will leave Yara for Euron to deal with. Perhaps she will be the recipient of some torture, a la Aeron in the Forsaken chapter from the upcoming book.

And, as someone else mentioned, she would be a good bait to get Theon into Euron’s hands. After all, he needs both siblings dead to really secure his rule (recall that his first plan of action upon being crowned king was to “murder” both of them).

  19. Holy Shit!

    That horse looks fucking epic!!!

Totally worthy of the awesomeness that is King Euron Greyjoy.

I’d love for at least one of the Sand Snakes to make it to the end. Someone’s gotta rule Dorne, and Nymeria hasn’t really done anything yet. Looks like they’re actually getting story, but don’t just write them off. Let at least one of them do something epic. Nymeria hopefully. I don’t loathe them like everyone else, just want them to be written better. And again, one of them should make it through to make Dorne have some purpose.

Leaks were light on Greyjoy, so I’m worried for Asha, but then again, Theon’s gotta have someone to rescue.

But Holy Fucking Shit; respek for my boy Euron. If he gets anything close to his book characterization (ie, Balon’s Bridge) he gonna be awesome, and HORSE ARMOR just screams epic, and we haven’t seen that before!!!

The red ruby (is that a red Crow’s Eye Kraken!?!?!?!?!?) looks dope. Mega excitement for the Greyjoy’s; I know Oberyn technically has all his canon daughters, but please let some one from Dorne live!

    Crows Eye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sue et al, any news on if we’re gonna see Damphair again this season? I want a CG Kraken!

  20. We don’t know what story Cersei told people.
Maybe burning Tommen in the sept was part of her “They did this to kill my son” or “It was for me, i was just late” story.
Sand Snakes did killed an innocent girl, so it’s not far, and Cersei gets to be the victim in the eyes of people and her brother maybe.

  21. Mio,

My guess is they’ll claim the Sept was either due to an unknown or accidental ignition of a cache of wildfire they didn’t know was there or they’ll pin the blame on someone else (either an agent of Dany or some poor random soul from KL that they’ll execute for it). Seriously doubt that Cersei publically claims her role in that.

  22. BunBunStark: I’m not liking seeing Ellaria being paraded with her coat undone. Chain them up if you must but why do they have to be half undressed?

To be honest, if it wasn’t such a hassle to film Cersei’s walk of atonement I would have expected all three of them to be naked. Ellaria at least. No, they weren’t the reason for that punishment of Cersei, but I can see her transferring the blame of it on them.

  23. I see King’s Landing and its people are just as f*cked up as usual, eh? makes me wonder why most of Dany’s fans want to see her on the iron throne so badly.

  24. Mio:
Do the smallfolks think Ellaria, Yara and co blew up the sept or something? Lol. I just don’t see how they would explain that to them. Is this Eurons first visit to Kings Landing?

Easy. They are aligned with a foreign invader who happens to be the daughter of the Mad King and who is bringing a horde of Dothraki rapists and pillagers into Westeros and plans on burning and sacking shit. Cersei blew up the sept, but most of her victims were nobles not smallfolk. And I assume they’d also be in trouble if they piss off Cersei. She does have all that wildfire.

  25. Luka Nieto:
    Stannis lives,

Yes, this is probably the scene.

    Jack Bauer 24,

Nah. Episode 3. There are only 7 episodes. Get used to fast travel within episodes, not just in-between them, as we are used to.

Any word on maybe longer run times for the limited episode counts then or maybe a more extended premiere/finale than usual?

  26. Mio,

That’s actually a “historically” correct reaction from small folk centuries ago. Mocking people who your rulers told you to mock or who was sentenced to be mocked (the pillory) was simply a form of entertainment. It didn’t matter if the prisoners had done you personal harm or not.

  27. Jack Bauer 24,

No word. I would hope so, but I doubt it. The very reason they are doing seven episodes is to have more budget per minute of screen-time. If the episodes are longer, it kind of defeats the point. But maybe we can expect a middle-ground, who knows. More +60 minute episodes, perhaps. Let’s hope 🙂

  28. The rain really makes this scene epic! And Euron looks badass!
I see Yara surviving, not the other two women.

  29. Luka Nieto,

Apologies in advance if you have stated this elsewhere and I am making you repeat yourself, but do we have a confirmation as to when the naval battle will take place? Thanks again

  30. Ugh not Yara. 🙁 Please don’t give any of these ladies to Qyburn or Frankenmountain. If Yara is going to die, she has to die as a warrior.

  31. Rex,

I wouldn’t have reported it, however cheekily, if I didn’t know it, yes. Episode three. Of course, they always move things around in the final edits, so who knows, but I doubt that’s the kind of thing likely to change 😉

  32. yay! Mark Mylod is directing! I always hear so much hate for this guy on “No One” but I think his filming is beautiful and the “Broken Man” in season 6 is a underrated masterpiece.

    I have very high hopes.

Thanks for the news Luka Nieto!

  33. Wow.

I think Euron will keep Yara; she is pretty much there for show, I think, to demonstrate that Euron has control over his own people. He wants both Theon and Yara dead – he made that clear in 605 at the Kingsmoot – but Yara is more of a threat to him in the long-term as, unlike Theon, she has the ability to produce an heir. Tyene and Ellaria seem to be an alliance-sealing gift for Cersei. It kind of echoes Smalljon Umber handing over Rickon and Osha in 603 as a sign of goodwill for Ramsay.

I can see Tyene being toast pretty quickly – I agree that having been forced to look upon her daughter’s dead body, Cersei is likely to make Ellaria experience the same sensation. Ellaria, on the other hand, may be handed over to Qyburn/Frankenmountain for an extended stay in the black cells like Septa Unella was in 610. Yara, as I say, I think will remain Euron’s hostage. Something has to force Theon to act, and he will have an actual objective if his sister is alive and in need of rescue rather than dead.

As for the jeering of the smallfolk, I recall the various jokes about the Dornish from the start of season four; this is possibly a callback to that, but it could also be the crowd simply jeering Lannister enemies (partly out of fear that if they are not supportive of Cersei’s new regime, then they could end up meeting the same fate as those unlucky enough to be in the Sept of Baelor when it went up). When Cersei blew the Sept of Baelor up in 610, she sent a clear message that she isn’t someone to mess around with; make her angry and she will punish you for it. All of KL has seen evidence of that. And while I doubt it is widely admitted, I think all of KL does know who was behind the explosion; aside from anything else, who has access to that much wildfire? And the Lannisters have used it before – at the Blackwater.

Also……..loving Euron’s outfit and horse with appropriate House Greyjoy dressing; I have hopes that we will get to see some good Euron scenes this year.

  34. It may fit the story, but I must say I’m not looking forward to seeing women dragged through the streets.

  35. The writers and the production may not have been able to count on there being rain when this scene was in the planning stages, but the forces of nature favored them and their mood they were seeking to create. The gloomy, wet atmosphere should be perfect for a scene representing a moment of sadistic triumph for King Euron. I can practically hear the rousing Ironborn theme rising in my ears now as I look at these photos! The final product should look and sound fantastic.

Despite the hideously grim circumstances that she finds herself in, I agree with Clob that Yara is likely to live for at least a little while longer. Cersei has no direct personal score to settle with her. To be fair, she doesn’t need one to be vindictive towards a rebel against the Iron Throne – or anyone really – but I expect that she’ll allow Euron to deal with her. That’s likely to be terrible news for Yara in the short-term, but it may keep her alive long enough for Theon to try and save her. I really grew to appreciate Gemma Whelan as Yara in Season 6, so I hope that she survives – or at least meets a clean end.

    LEAKS

Obara and Nymeria are almost certainly dead by this point, and Tyene is likely to follow them, though perhaps Cersei will keep Ellaria – and main cast member Indira Varma – around for a while. Give her the Septa Unella treatment, as it were, after forcing her to watch her daughter die.

As someone who doesn’t hold even a fraction of the animosity towards the Sand Snakes that some in the fandom seem to feel, I hope that they acquit themselves well before descending into the eternal darkness. Though I will take at least a small measure of satisfaction in seeing Myrcella’s killers brought to justice (for me, Myrcella’s death at the end of Season 5 – in Jaime’s arms just moments after accepting him as her father – remains one of the low-key most heartbreaking scenes in the series).

  36. Looks really good, can’t wait to watch this next year!!!
starting to ask myself, how long each episode is going to be.
less episodes, and just as much content ?
I wonder if each episode will be just as long as the Winds of Winter, or maybe longer.
Also, it doesn’t look that bad for yara and the gang, It could be a lot worse to be Honest, it looks pretty tamed lol

  37. Richard,

It’s only against the ironborn and Dornish fleets. Daenerys, her dragons, the Dothraki and the Unsullied are elsewhere occupied (at Dragonstone, and some Unsullied perhaps at Casterly Rock at this point too.)

  38. Richard:
How do you lose a sea battle if you have dragons?

I think it’s been pretty clear that They don’t. Daenerys and presumably her dragons will be at Dragonstone when the unsuspecting Yara/Theon and I assume the Sand Snakes are besieged by Euron after they split off for home (other fronts).

  39. Pilou looks glorious. Damn this is exciting, though not surprising. Hoping Yara somehow makes it out since I like her. That horse wins the style awards big time.

  40. Richard,

The dragons are presumably with Dany, not with the Greyjoy fleet. I know finale showed all of the fleets together but they will split up for actual battles.

  41. BunBunStark,

I actually think there’s a potential story reason for the state that Ellaria and Tyene find themselves in. It seems entirely plausible to me that Cersei – who, for as long as she lives, will never forget the abuse and humiliation she suffered while being marched naked through the streets of King’s Landing – might want to force a similar form of humiliation on the women who murdered her beloved daughter before they make it to the Red Keep and she can subject them to an even more painful form of torture (they might be entirely naked if not for the substantial production hassles that would entail). Euron, cruel man that he is, would likely be happy to oblige.

Clob: To be honest, if it wasn’t such a hassle to film Cersei’s walk of atonement I would have expected all three of them to be naked. Ellaria at least. No, they weren’t the reason for that punishment of Cersei, but I can see her transferring the blame of it on them.

    This.

  42. Euron sat the Iron Throne…..Beside him stood a shadow in woman’s form, long and tall and terrible, her hands alive with pale white fire. Dwarves capered for their amusement, male and female, locked in carnal, biting and tearing at each other as Euron and his mate laughed and laughed and laughed.

  43. BunBunStark,

Honestly, I would expect Cersei to parade Yara and the Sand Snakes, but especially Ellaria around completely naked. After what Cersei endured for her walk of shame, I believe she would want to inflict that on other women. She absolutely wanted Margery to suffer it. That she lets them keep their clothing at all is a show of mercy that I’m not even sure is in character.

  44. Mio,

Recent political events have taught me that the “smallfolk” will believe anything, especially things that defy logic and make them feel powerful.

  45. Not gonna lie.. From the speculations on here.. I was expecting nudity.. Not because I’m shallow, but because it just seems.. well.. like something the Crow’s Eye would do. Am I therefore disappointed? Perhaps.. Not just because I lurv me some lushes female bodies.. but because I want Euron to be fookin accurate..

And jeez.. We may not have a mad Targ on the IT (or do we??), but this LanJoy-combo suuuuure comes close..

  46. I think this is the first time Gemma has done location shooting outside of NI?
No one caught her ‘on the town’ … in fact only a few of the cast for this scene were noticed, I think?

  47. Well that’s one kind of parade I guess lol.The rain will make everything better on screen. The reaction of the crowd is completely in character.During those time this was seen as entertainment no matter who was being paraded or who the monarch was.Not to mention Cersei must have already done some pr.Euron and Cersei together are stuff nightmares are made of but I’m gonna enjoy watching it.

  48. What’s with all the nudity expectations? It’s bizarre… Cersei’s walk of shame was impactful and nudity was necessary. The showrunners aren’t going to play that card again as it wouldn’t be impactful at all.

And as the women aren’t naked- it’s clearly not gonna happen.

I do have a theory however that

Obara or Nymeria may see the same fate as Falia Flowers in TWOW
  49. Ser Oromis Locke: I was expecting nudity.. Not because I’m shallow, but because it just seems.. well.. like something the Crow’s Eye would do. Am I therefore disappointed? Perhaps.. Not just because I lurv me some lushes female bodies..

I think some of the first comments I saw in episode review articles last season about Gemma’s ass in those leather pants came from female writers. Don’t quote me but I think Laura Stone made specific jealous comments. I can only imagine what would be written if she were butt-ass naked… 🙂

  50. Maybe Ellaria will come down with pneumonia after parading around in the cold wintry rain with her belly sticking out. It would probably drive Cersei nuts if Ellaria ironically died of natural causes before she had a chance to torture her properly.

  51. Apollo: What’s with all the nudity expectations? It’s bizarre…

Well they are expectations, not desires so much. It is GoT/ASoIaF after all where the worst things tend to happen. When a person hears that Ellaria will be paraded through the peasants in the streets of King’s Landing as a prisoner of Cersei/Euron, I think it’s perfectly reasonable to expect that it would be ordered done in the most demeaning fashion. Cersei HAAAATES Ellaria! Like grab her by the hair and stab her fifty times in the face with a busted chair leg hate. Simply ‘escorting’ them through the streets doesn’t seem harsh enough for Cersei…

  52. But Tyrion will convince her NOT to attack KL directly with dragons.
Now we have the context of why Dany was considering.

I am afraid Cersei will try to give them to Qyburn, but Jaime will make sure they stay in the dungeons so they can be traded as hostages. Bronn also might want to save his ” bad pussy” after all.

Dragonpit- I guess Cersei could actually bring them to the parlay to show good faith. I am trying to remain optmistic here because I like Yara and I am tired of torture porn.

  53. Priscila: Dragonpit- I guess Cersei could actually bring them to the parlay to show good faith.

The only problem with that idea is that those three actresses weren’t part of the 17 filming that scene.

  54. Mio: Do the smallfolks think Ellaria, Yara and co blew up the sept or something?

I assume that’s why Cersei is still queen/appears to have allies. She blames the Sept on Dany and the Martells (maybe even the Tyrells). Sets King’s Landing against Dany right from the start.

  55. I don’t see Cersei warming to a man who parades women in shame through King’s Landing…especially seeing what happened to her with the Sparrows. Euron probably gets his head removed. Ellaria is doomed no matter what, because of her killing Myrcella.

  56. Cersei has no love for other women. She’s not out there plugging for women’s rights and she’ll be happy to have any of those she considers her enemies paraded through the streets. She did give Unella over to be raped by DeadGregor.

  57. Clob,

You know what I think? It is likely that Dany will give the Greyjoys some soldiers to help them defeat Euron. They lose and this is when it is revealed that Cersei teamed up with him.

  58. I love it! The Sand Snakes killed an innocent 15 year old girl and Yara and the ironborn killed and plundered in the North. Dany losing the ironborn would actually help in making an alliance with Jon. Lord Glover would be most pleased.

  59. Rex,

    Rex:

I agree. I don’t think that Yara is going to be killed here. Clearly she is Euron’s prisoner from the pictures whereas Ellaria and Tyene are being held by the Goldcloaks. After Cersei and Euron’s pact I too believe that Euron will take off with Yara in tow trying to lure out Theon in order to get rid of both siblings.

I also agree that Euron will succeed in luring Theon out, because of course Theon would want to attempt to rescue Yara. Theon doesn’t care whether he lives or dies and imo, it would be out of character, if he were to just give up on Yara.

Theon was introduced as a young man who’d been a slave for most of his life, (even a kind master is still a master) and who longed for family, love, acceptance and power. He got none of it. In stead his family made him turn on his friend and in turn trying to win his father’s favor, he took WF, was responsible for two boys’ deaths and got captured. He was caught by a monster, his father gave up on him (but initially Yara didn’t) and he ended up losing himself momentarily. Then we see him slowly resurface during season 5, culminating in the escape. In season 6, we learn that he no longer wants power, nor does he want forgiveness. All that he wants to do is to help his sister. So yeah, Theon will definitely try to rescue her. I fear for Yara’s life – I doubt she will make it – but I am very excited to see Theon’s arc develop further. I hope we get to see Theon confront Euron. Fatally, thank you very much!

Oh, and I believe Theon (ironically but also very “Game of Thronesy” now that he doesn’t want it) could become a great leader.

  60. I think I’m already going to know the plot of season 7. I can’t help but look! BTW, I didn’t read the reddit leaks post.

  61. If Tyene is killed in public at Cersei’s behest, and Bronn happens to be watching, will he care? Will that factor help persuade him to switch sides? I suppose Jaime will want revenge on anyone in on the plot to kill Myrcella, and Bronn’s top priority is who pays him best; but I wonder if the writers will do anything with the fact that Bronn and Tyene have a history of flirtation, however cynical.

  62. Priscila,

Yes, I am also very interested how Tyenne’s fate will effect Bronn, but IMO Bronn will not be witnessing that in person. I imagine that Jaime and Bronn will leave to Highgarden, before Euron arrives.
My preference for the sequence of events would be as follows:

    1) Euron attacks Sunspear capturing Ellaria and Tyenne and preventing Danys landing in Dorne.
    2) Dany lands on Dragonstone, the two remaining Sand Snakes come to her.
    3) Euron follow them and takes a position near Dragonstone; meanwhile, Jaime marches out on Highgarden;
    4) Dany rushes to help Olenna; Yara and the Sand Snakes lure Euron’s fleet away to promote Dany’s main forces and dragons safe landing at different location in the mainland;
    5) Euron defeats Yara and the Sand Snakes in the naval battle and comes to the capital as a victor; Jaime sacks Highgarden, Dany retaliates with the ambush battle and maybe even with the sack of Casterly Rock.
    6) Dany returns to Dragonstone, but realizes that basically both she and Cersei are in stalemate; Jon gets desperate;
    7) Tyrion sneaks into KL to meet with Jaime, and who knows – maybe it will be Jaime who will propose to bring a wight to demonstrate the true threat to Cersei? Or maybe he will be simply mocking Tyrion? Anyway, this should instigate the infamous wight hunt and bring the parties to the Dragonpit in the finale. I also think that the Dragonpit scaffold will be intended to serve for Yara’s and/or Ellarias execution in the beginning, and Jon bringing a wight may simply mix things up for Cersei.
  63. I dont know how no one think Obara will live. The leaker was VERY CLEAR, Euron will kill TWO sand snakes, one at the battle, and is for sure nymeria because the actress is already in other show and the other sandsnake is Tyene poisoned in front of Elaria as myrcella died. Since he mentioned the fate of the sand snakes i dont think Obara will die, she can escape as theon did in the battle, and Obara was focused as the main sandsnake since their first appearence. Yara wont die by now as well and elaria too, they should get tortured or the leaked would say they die.

  64. Wait… I haven’t seen (or been able to if there is any) video of this parade to get the feeling of it. I was just assuming, but do we KNOW that the people are jeering at the women? It’s difficult to know for certain by looking at the pictures, or if they’re filming during some of them. What I don’t see is shit and food covering their clothing or any sign of people throwing things. We see the Sand women smiling, which if filming at the moment could simply be their defiant personalities, OR perhaps it’s reaction to the people. Yara of course would not be smiling, especially with a collar around her neck. The peasants appear to be cheering as opposed to shouting profanities though. Is it possible that they could actually be applauding these women for standing up against their tyrannical queen?? Silly question?

  65. This is definitely the scene D&D were talking about when they mentioned the scene they expanded. Originally a scene between 4 characters in the throne room (Euron presents Cersei with Ellaria and Tyene) turns into a massive parade through the streets.

  66. Aguero,

I only know what I read about the leaks, which wasn’t super clear in the way it was written.

I’ve seen it written as: Euron kills two of the Sand Snakes. He captures Ellaria and Tyene and makes Ellaria watch as Tyene dies from poison. Conveyed in that manner I could read it as Obara and Nymeria are killed immediately in battle with Euron. That would make sense because those two are less likely to back down in a fight. THEN Ellaria and Tyene are captured and the ‘last’ Sand Snake dies later. (the daughters of Oberyn are called the Sand Snakes, which doesn’t include Ellaria)
  67. If this is that early and Euron is there for some meeting has James Faulkner been spotted about this location?

  68. What do you call a moron who takes a whiz on the self-proclaimed King of the Iron Islands and the North from a balcony as he rides below?

    ɹoʇɐuoɹnƎ ∀

  69. I’m afraid, Team Dany’s utter incompetence given their overwhelming force will be quite annoying to watch next season.

  70. Apollo,

I don’t know that people were expecting nudity, so much as saying that if you looked at this issue purely from what the characters (e.g., Cersei and Euron) would do, they probably would be. However, between the production hassle and the fact that I doubt any of the three actresses involved would want to do that (anymore than Headey did), I would never have expected that to actually happen in the show.

  71. Apollo,

Yes, spoiler codes are working. You’re just not using them right. You almost got it right, but both “spoiler” words have to be written in lower case, all letters. Not “Spoiler” but “spoiler”. I fixed it for you.

    HouseMartellBitches,

Don’t get your hopes up. We haven’t seen anything suggesting Aeron will return.

  72. Wimsey,

Well, showing a lack of enthusiasm may be a matter of survival for the small folk, when Qyburn’s little birds fly around too. So, no surprise that they are cheering Euron.

  73. Just like to join in the appreciation for what must be by far the most bad ass horse we’ve seen. Metal to the core ?It’s probably either called Satan or Princess Twinkle Toes 😉

  74. Luka Nieto,

Yeah, I have a shortcut on my phone but for some reason it planted an uppercase S this time round. I saw someone else mention issues with the codes and figured that’s what had happened here. Thankfully it wasn’t really a spoiler as such (well from the show at least) ?

  75. Clob,

They aren’t fickle, they just want to survive. All they likely have been told is that another bat shit crazy Targeryn – daughter of the former Mad King who wanted to fry them all – is coming and wants to attack ‘their city’ and kill them all. Even though Dany is not attacking KL (so far as we know anyway), they don’t know that so of course they’re going to side with their ruler – who has proven herself to be quite strong up to this point and who they see as their best chance for survival.

  76. Gee, I guess this was inevitable. The Power Puff girls are vicious and underhanded, but are they good generals…that is, can they conduct a military campaign. And, could they be good leaders. I don’t think they could.

Yara had good potential, and the fact she surrendered the Iron Born way of life – readin’ writin’ and ‘rithmetic – to ally with Dany, is to her credit.

Oh well. Lots of heavy lifting for the Dragon queen to do.

  77. Julia H.

Cersei doesn’t care about other women. She only cares when she is personally humiliated. #SolidarityIsForLannistersOnly

I really hope Yara survives somehow. It really feels like all the great Houses of Westeros are on the edge of complete destruction.

  78. My dreams have come true, no more Sand Snakes… I suppose we lose Yara…. meh. She’s no where near as interesting as Asha, not a big loss. Such happy news. ???

  79. Abbie,

I agree! Why is it even still standing? I can’t wait to see the Lannisters burn, however I would’ve also liked them to suffer the WW too. lol

  80. Firannion,

I don’t think Bronn carries a particular torch for her, certainly he wouldn’t be crossing the floor for her. I mean, I’m sure there’s a certain attachment to someone who tries to kill you and the says “LOL, kidding!”, but love it ain’t.

Besides, I want show Lollys back!

  81. Chump Force 1,

On the contrary, Maybe Tyene somehow escapes via a knight in shining armour named Cooper…

Jamie did promise him a bigger castle and a more beautiful bride…

  82. Lulus Mum:
Just like to join in the appreciation for what must be by far the most bad ass horse we’ve seen. Metal to the core ?It’s probably either called Satan or Princess Twinkle Toes ?

Or Binky, like Death’s mighty steed in Discworld!

  83. Firannion: Agreed. She wasn’t much like book Lollys, but the actress was terrific. I’d love to see her get another scene!

She was just so genuinely likeable (with a side eye to her sister, lol), she endeared herself to me. ? I love when an actor/actress can make me smile with just a bit part in a scene.

    “Jaime Fucking Lannister…..”

  84. The fact that Dany’s army looked unbeatable at the end of Season 6 led me to believe that something bad was going to happen in Season 7. There is no way she was just going to steamroll Cersei that easily. There has to be at least some struggle in her efforts to take King’s Landing.

  85. So finally we have the scene which D&D expanded from just 4 people in a room to a huge parade through the streets! Episode 3 – triumphant high point for Cersei and Euron next season. I can’t imagine Jaime and Bronn being part of this scene, because aren’t they supposed to be looting HG by then and witnessing Olenna’s death?

    jdtargstark:
I see King’s Landing and its people are just as f*cked up as usual, eh? makes me wonder why most of Dany’s fans want to see her on the iron throne so badly.

Even more relevant question: why do Jon Snow’s fans want him to ascend the Iron throne in his Mad grandpa’s footsteps?

  86. Don’t know if this has been discussed before, but with Euron confirmed in the capital, and rocking some serious swagger to boot, what are the odds he and Cersei end up hooking up? Feels like it would be pretty in character for both of them.

  87. Priscila:

Iam pissed at Bronn! How could he not rescue his bad pussy?

My raven is a bad lad – he keeps cawing: “Bring me bad pussy – Bring me bad pussy” – caw caw 🙂

  88. House Applebee,

Asha and Yara are one and the same. On page, Asha may get more action and be decidedly more into men than women but I don’t see much difference at the core of the character. Asha/Yara is a true badass. Not mere soldier material like Brienne and a Queen who can swing her own axe and fight in battle along with her troops. In fact, it is sad that Arya may never get to meet the one woman whom she may aspire to be like. If the Ironborn had any brains, they would have crown Asha/Yara and follow her lead. I really hope she survives and ends up leading and reforming the Crakens.

  89. Jay Targ,

I think they changed up his makeup and attire. I truly hope the leaks are true on this one. They make show Euron sound quite menacing and brutal. I still think they can salvage him, especially because of 602, which I thought was done perfectly with the right kind of different. 605 was a bit to fatass instead of badass, but S7 sure makes him sound smarter, craftier, and bloodier.

  90. Oh wow

If this is the scene that was originally meant to only have a handful of people in the Throne room but they changed to a “big bonanza”, have to say it was a great decision to change and spend the extra money

Further to that, have to say the rain and the overcast weather – while probably making for some filming challenges – is actually quite perfect for the scene, eg instead of Winterfell we have “the Sea” aka Ironborn coming to KL instead

And not just the Sea, going by show Eurons “I am the Storm, brother” when he’s first introduced on the rainy footbridge, giving Euron a rainy triumph over major rivals and established characters is great thematically

    Great stuff

  91. Really quite dig Eurons outfit as well actually

    Though no Driftwood crown

Generally speaking really could have done a better job with having the other claimant Monarchs wearing their respective Crowns (especially Robb) , eg don’t act like a King can’t be expected to be treated like one etc

  92. Danny,

Dude, I know. I was saying she was more interesting in the books, like most characters are. I will not mourn her loss on the show. Geezuz read between the lines.

  93. God. MY THEORY WAS TRUE. ELLARIA AND YARA IS GOING TO BE SERVED BY EURON GRYEJOY to Queen Mighty Cersei. They both will die in the throne room, between by the Mountain, Cersei, or Wildfire.

  94. the Sand snakes R deadly even when they are captured they are going to kill some one important it they are going to be executed And about Yara i can’t say What her fate would be but Euron is a little Brother of bailon so maybe he is going to kill Cerise after He convince her of his Loyalty /Cersei Prophecy / + Euron is Seem More mean badass just like Cersei’s type so i don’t think we r going to see jamie and his sister love anymore

    yepie

  95. jdtargstark,

I don’t, I just want her to be happy. She thinks sitting on the Iron Throne would bring her happiness like Daario said in S6E10 but I think her priorities will shift towards the end of this season and by season 8, she will be a whole different person.
I think she’ll go full circle back to wanting a home and a family, rather than power and armies.

    Kay,

Jon is my favourite character, I don’t want him on the Throne either. That thing is poisonous and it corrupts people. If he does survive the war and he will want to rule in Westeros, which I doubt he will, I hope he does so not by sitting on that damn chair and not as a King but as a ruler who is loved by the people and who wants to help rebuild the 7K after the destruction that occurs. Like Davos said, Jon is not a King. He is a leader !

  96. Anonymoose,

I agree, her defeats make her journey much more interesting. Its the natural order of things anyway, think of how many people died so far in Westeros in S2, 3 and 4 all for power. She can’t just show up with a large army and expect the Lords to bend the knee and the people to follow her. I want to see her struggle and suffer a little more before she starts gaining momentum in the ambush episode. We haven’t seen that side of her since season 1. And D&D did day at the Emmys that “Things are gonna get worse but mostly better” which is what GRRM said recently as well.

  97. Irina Stark,

I agree, After Dany lost Drogo and her unborn son I think she thought she could never make her dream of having a family a reality so she focused on helping other people have equal rights and the right to choose their own fate unlike her own life when she was used as a pawn by her brother. I don’t think sitting on a throne would make her happy in the slightest, I think destroying the throne aka breaking the wheel and making Westeros more equal with multiple leaders would make her happy and then she could retire somewhere nice and sunny with a red door, lemon tree, a husband that loves her and a child. That would be her ultimate happy ending.

  98. Ghost Lunch,

If Euron is pledging himself to Cersei, with the likely promise of marriage, hence becoming King Consort, it means he’s no longer King of the Iron Islands, so no Driftwood Crown.

  99. Season 7 looks to continue the trend of speeding through the story in unbelievable ways in order to get to the end before D&D run out of stamina.

Also, NONE OF THIS WILL HAPPEN IN THE BOOKS! WOOHOO!

  100. afeastfordances:
Don’t know if this has been discussed before, but with Euron confirmed in the capital, and rocking some serious swagger to boot, what are the odds he and Cersei end up hooking up? Feels like it would be pretty in character for both of them.

It would fit in with Euron’s stated intentions in 605 in terms of making a marriage alliance. Yara tells Daenerys in 609 that as soon as Euron got what he wanted from her – an heir and the power of the Iron Throne – he would kill her; it may be that all of his plans for Daenerys transfer themselves to Cersei when he realizes that his plan is in tatters thanks to Yara and Theon warning Daenerys.

It would also bring in book!Jaime’s jealousy plotline over Cersei’s infidelity, giving him even more reason to break with her – which, really, I would think and hope has to come at some point this season. I think that show!Jaime is still completely unaware about what happened between her and Lancel. Cersei should be careful, though – Euron is not someone she can manipulate the way she did Robert.

    corinnestark:
    Julia H.

Cersei doesn’t care about other women. She only cares when she is personally humiliated. #SolidarityIsForLannistersOnly

I really hope Yara survives somehow. It really feels like all the great Houses of Westeros are on the edge of complete destruction.

Agree with this comment regarding Cersei – remember season two and her derision about the women under her protection during the Battle of the Blackwater? And being a woman did not save Septa Unella. Nope, Cersei does not take gender into the equation, only whether someone is an ally or an enemy. And they are usually an enemy.

I would love to see Yara survive too; I really liked the expansion on the character in season six, and I can see her putting up a fight against Euron. The great Houses – in the show anyway – are certainly pretty close to extinction, I agree. The Martells and Baratheons seem to have been wiped out in the legitimate line (though the book!Martells certainly have at least one cousin apart from the main line); the Arryns are down to Robin, the Tullys to Edmure and his baby son, and the Targaryens to Daenerys and Jon, though whether he is/could be considered legitimate remains anyone’s guess at this point.

It is unclear to what extent the numerous Tyrell cousins from the books exist at this point, and the same can be said of the Lannisters (though even if there are Lannister cousins, I think Tywin’s line is doomed). That leaves the Starks – down to Arya, Sansa and Bran, and so close to extinction in the male line – and the Greyjoys, who are left with Aeron (a priest who is therefore not going to continue the line), Euron, Yara and Theon (who is unable to produce children).

  101. Maybe the timeline is wrong, but Bronn could simply help Tyenne to escape from the dungeons unbeknownst to everyone- like they are paryting in the Red Keep, he leaves and let her go.

Bronn is pissed because they promised him LOLLYS and renegated- he wanted to be a lord- so I am thinking Bronn could see it as an opportunity to become Prince of Dorne. Bronn is smart, he can see the writting on the wall: Dany has dragons and he will witness her power in battle. He can use the opportunity to work both sides of the war: nominally with Lannisters, but giving Tyenne and Tyrion a hand. When the time is right, Dany could legitimaze Tyenne and Bronn would claim Dorne.

In the leaks, Jaime leaves Cersei and heads north by himself. Bronn is not mentioned with Jaime. I find it unlikely he will stick around with Cersei. Showrunners know the end of the series, but I can see them adapting some storylines from the books that were not used to sme secondary characters. Bronn marries into the Stokeworth but not the heiress- by a mix of an unfortunate accidents and by Cersei actually eliminating the heiress, Bronn does become a Lord after all . They have to finish some storylines before moving North.
  102. GeekFurious,

That’s debatable, George.R.R.Martin I imagine has told them main key elements that need to happen like Hodor, Shireen being burned, also the ending which D&D said would be the same as the books. So a lot of Season 7 the big things at least, he may have told them needs to happen and they are filling in the blanks that are missing from that. We won’t really know for sure until at least his latest book comes out to know for sure.

  103. Mio,

Hints or no hints, it just makes sense, doesn’t it? Euron will want something in exchange for offering the Iron Fleet to Cersei. Why not make the exact same deal that he wanted to offer Daenerys, before Theon and Yara got ahead of him? That would mean exchanging the Iron Fleet for Cersei accepting to marry him and turning him into king consort of the Seven Kingdoms.

  104. Mio,

Euron isn’t going to fight for Cersei for free, the price of his alliance I imagine will be steep. It will either be marriage or him taking control of a large proportion of Westeros. They are the two most logical reasons for his help or perhaps he plans on playing Cersei, doing her bidding before he kills her and takes her throne.

  105. Luka Nieto, Mel

It could yes, but everyone keeps saying those reddit leaks are true and I read tey said they do not hook up. So it’s confusing, lol.
Do you know if they meet up in episodes before this parade thing or if this is the first time he meets Cersei face to face?

  106. Mio: Do you know if they meet up in episodes before this parade thing or if this is the first time he meets Cersei face to face?

This isn’t the first time, no.

  107. Shaggydog:
God. MY THEORY WAS TRUE. ELLARIA AND YARA IS GOING TO BE SERVED BY EURON GRYEJOY to Queen Mighty Cersei. They both will die in the throne room, between by the Mountain, Cersei, or Wildfire.

    This is quite interesting

I’d imagine that Jaimie has told Cersei Ellaria was responsible for the death of her daughter Myrcella, so can’t see Cersei being too kind to her, will probably kill her slowly or via poison

I reckon/suspect the surviving Sand Snake will be given the “offer” to fight the Mountain like Oberyn….

it’s quite interesting because a Sand Snake in the books is going to serve on the Council, and I’ve suspected would clash with “Ser Robert Strong”

As for Yara, instead of Wildfire reckon she may end up being drowned by Euron in Throne room but in a way that further reminds Jaimie of how Cersei is slowly becoming more like Mad King Aerys?

  108. Luka Nieto,

I had not known this for sure. So i guess Euron has already formed an alliance with Cersei before attacking the Greyjoy-Dornish fleet? Makes sense that he would want to be sure of his potential rewards before committing himself to the battle. He might not feel so sure about people being impressed with his “big cock” anymore lol.

  109. All the realm hates the Ironborn, so it’s not surprising that smallfolk jeer Yara. The Ironborn are about as popular in Westeros as the Roma are in Europe.

  110. why Nym and Obara were not there? i assume they’re dead already and Cersei wants Ellaria’s biological daugther, Tyene, to dead while Cersei amd Ellaria will watch it. Same as Myrcella, Cersei will let the girl drink poison or maybe this time drink wildfire like the targaryen king who did drink wildfire.

Yara will be on Euron’s Hand. but She will not be killed, because I thought he promised to theon about Yara. (After sea battles, I believe, Euron let Theon goes to say the bad news to Daenerys, that’s why he’s in Dragonstone without Yara)

  111. I really wished they would flesh out Nymeria a little bit more.

Out of the three Sand Snakes, she always seemed to be the more patient and sharp one and also the least developed, so I truly wanted D&D to give her more to do to try and redeem at least one of them.

Sadly it doesnt seem to be the case.

  112. Irina Stark: Kay,

Jon is my favourite character, I don’t want him on the Throne either.

Oh good! Nice to meet someone who loves Jon and does NOT want him on the Throne. 🙂 Personally, I will be very disappointed if there is a throne at ALL at the end of the next 13 episodes. 😉

  113. House Applebee,

I read between the lines, I just didn’t agree that she was significantly more interesting in the books. Yara is one of the few characters that closely resembles her book counterpart and I WILL miss her in the show if she’s really a goner. But opinions are opinions. Asha and Theon but primarily Asha are, IMO, the only Greyjoys worth anything. Them and Rodrick the Reader were the only Iron Islanders I could stand in the books.

  114. Alba Stark: It would fit in with Euron’s stated intentions in 605 in terms of making a marriage alliance.Yara tells Daenerys in 609 that as soon as Euron got what he wanted from her – an heir and the power of the Iron Throne – he would kill her; it may be that all of his plans for Daenerys transfer themselves to Cersei when he realizes that his plan is in tatters thanks to Yara and Theon warning Daenerys.

He may have already produced a child, if the fisherman’s daughter reappears.

  115. Kay: Oh good! Nice to meet someone who loves Jon and does NOT want him on the Throne. ? Personally, I will be very disappointed if there is a throne at ALL at the end of the next 13 episodes. ?

Most people wouldn’t want any Stark near that damn chair, they rather the Starks make the North the new capital.

  116. Grail King: He may have already produced a child, if the fisherman’s daughter reappears.

True, but until she does I am going with the ‘unable to produce an heir’ line. It would be convenient if she turned up, but it isn’t impossible.

  117. Sean C.:

I agree. I think this is a case where the realities of production wound up taking precedence. It is slightly out of character for Cersei to not have them stripped naked, IMO, although it’s a minor enough point that I don’t think it’s terribly damaging.

  118. Ghost Lunch: This is quite interesting

I’d imagine that Jaimie has told Cersei Ellaria was responsible for the death of her daughter Myrcella, so can’t see Cersei being too kind to her, will probably kill her slowly or via poison

    Perhaps via waterboarding? 😉

  119. I don’t get it, Aegon the Conqueror had three dragons and far, far, fewer soldiers than Dany currently has, and he went through all opposition like a laser beam….Dany has three dragons, a dothraki hoarde, nearly 10,000 Unsullied and an Armada and it seems like she’s going to get her butt kicked…does this not make sense to anyone else? Yes, I get that they need to make the story interesting, but still it doesn’t make much sense…I really, really want Cersei and the Lannisters to get what they deserve, why can’t that just happen?

  120. Aegon used to burn everycity who didnt bend on knee while Dany does war without Dragon(hasn’t yet for thi event). Apperantly, after Cersei stole Daenerys’ start, captured her allies by Euron whom being betrayed by Dany to his nephew and niece. Daenerys doesnt want hurt them more, but she’ll be tired, and doesnt have any choice. Second wars is Highgarden war between Tyrells Army + Dotrakhis + Maybe Unsullied and Lannisters + Tarlys. Lannister fell down here. Jaime could be survive. I don’t have any idea what will Daenerys was doing, attacking Kingslanding or going north (as Emilia Clarken was in Belfast)

    what did you guys think?

  121. Christopher Lennon,

That was different Aegon’s dragon’s weren’t as young as Dany’s they were already 50 years old when he took Westeros so much much bigger than we’ll ever see hers considering Dragon’s don’t stop growing.
Dany also has no desire to burn innocent people so only going up against armies in open fields limits her options significantly.
What I don’t get about the whole thing is if Dany even burns one single person she gets called mad but Aegon burned hundreds if not thousands of people if they didn’t bow to him and he was never called mad.

  122. Shaggydog:

    what did you guys think?

    Is that English?

  123. Shaggydog,

Belfast is also their main filming studio, not just for the north. So whenever she rides a dragon it’ll be filmed in Belfast for the CGI and all her Dragonstone indoor scenes will also be filmed in Belfast. Same for most other indoor scenes for the other characters. They usually only go to other countries for the outdoor scenes.

  124. Christopher Lennon,

English is not the mother tongue of all WotW readers/commenters. The WotW community is made richer by the participation of fans the world over and I welcome comments in less than perfect English.

With a pinch of goodwill, Shaggydog’s comment is quite understandable.

    Shaggydog,

As Mel above explained, all dragon scenes are filmed in the Belfast studios, so Dany & Drogon could be anywhere.

Also, I think you’re right that Dany could be wary (cautious, afraid) of using too much force if she thinks some of her allies are captives/hostages.

  125. Babeko,

I know, what a happy accident! It’s going to look amazing in the final product.

(One niggle I have about Euron’s horse’s accroutments… In these pictures it looks a bit rubbery. It’s probably just the rain, wet leather can look rubbery. I’m sure it’ll look just right in the final product.)

  126. Young Dragon:
    GeekFurious,
It seems that season 7 is going to be fast paced, but I don’t see that as a bad thing.

That’s only because the book series is never going to be finished.

I actually spit out coffee lol’ing at this. Used to check GRRMs site weekly years ago when he updated his Blog. I don’t think we will see Winds till the show is done next year.

I’m still holding out hope, that if all this is true. Dorne is left without any leaders, no surviving Martells…I want this season to end with Darkstar sitting on the Dornish Throne. For no other reason then I’m still a bit salty they didn’t put him in the show.

  127. OMG not Yara ??
Could this be why Tyrion, Davos and Gendry sneak into KL? To try to save them? Tyrion knows how to get out of the cells because he’s done it before. Davos can get to that cove where Mel had the demon smoke baby unseen.

  128. Jon’s Mom,

Er… Davos delivered Mel to a place undernaeth Storm’s End battlements to give birth to the shadow baby.

Nothing to do with KL city walls today.

  129. Davos did grow up in Flea Bottom though. Other than Varys, Tyrion and Davos are the only ones on Daenerys’ team that have any knowledge of KL, and they know it well.

We’ve been assuming THE reason they go to KL as we saw in those beach scene spoilers was to meet with Jaime as the leak stated. Whether this is when they do that or not, they leave with Gendry so there’s at least one thing that comes out of it. If another reason is rescuing prisoners then it appears that they will fail.
  130. So…

the Lannisters win at Highgarden…. they win at the sea battle… Dany makes it to Dragonstone, then loses a dragon?

Christ. It just seems so unrealistic. Cersei is deranged, the North is united, and Dany has 3 dragons and the backing of Dorne AND Highgarden… and yet still Cersei is in the more commanding position? How??

  131. Clob,

Well, Tyrion used propaganda to stop the Meereenese Civil War inside the walls. Cersei easily can use propaganda as well to keep the city loyal. I know some people were speculating that Cersei will have to keep all of Kings Landing hostage now and as I suspected it doesn’t appear to be that way. Cersei still has support.

  132. SG,

A couple things: One if Dany lands in Dragonstone Ep 1 and Euron is in KL Ep1 and the sea battle takes place Ep 2 then it totally makes sense. Both locations are close in vicinity and appears that Dany is sending Yara and Snakes to do something. Euron is able to ambush. The timing the location all makes sense for what we are being told. I think Dany landing in Dragonstone instead of going to straight to Kings Landing is smart. Tyrion knows what the dragonfire can do to an oncoming fleet ALSO after one to two months of being on the sea you have to meet some place to organize your attack instead of just going straight in for it. I personally don’t think Dany should attack Kings landing at all.

  133. Clob,

Ludicrous statement! The faith forced the walk of atonement not nobles or lords. Cersei isn’t going to make anyone do the walk of atonement.

  134. Alba Stark,

No, Yara is not there for show. She is there so that Euron can lure Theon and Yara’s followers into submission.

I don’t think the smallfolk are doing it to please Cersei. I think they are actually doing it cause they don’t know any better. Who is to say the smallfolk knows Cersei did it. A little propaganda goes a long way.

  135. Rex: pite being a part of this parade in King’s Landing. She is Euron’s problem, not Cersei. While Cersei might want to do some fun with the Dornish ladies in the name of revenge, I think she will leave Yara for Euron to deal with. Perhaps she will be the recipient of some torture, a la Aeron in the Forsaken chapter from

I admire how you know them all by name and appearance. Not just you, most people here seem to. I have trouble telling them apart. Let alone remembering their names. Reading all the posts here feels like an education on the Sand Snakes. I thank you all! ♪♫♫♪♫♪ ♀☼↑
