Music Is Coming: The Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience!

Enough about winter already- Music Is Coming! If you’re in the Los Angeles area, you could take part in an exciting new event happening next week, celebrating the music of Game of Thrones. Next Monday, August 8th, the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience will take place at the Hollywood Palladium, at 11:30AM.

The concert will feature a Q&A with GoT composer Ramin Djawadi, an appearance by Isaac Hempstead Wright, and a full orchestra performance of music from the show.

As if the orchestral performance wasn’t enough of a treat, the event also includes highlights from the Hall of Faces Exhibit such as the Iron Throne, Melisandre’s Flame holographic experience, Arya’s Needle, and some select costumes from season 6.  HBO says there will be a “reveal of exciting new details surrounding an extension to the Game of Thrones® universe.” So naturally, fans in the area should not miss this one!

We’ve reached out for more details on the event, and we’ll keep you posted.

Update, with some ticketing info for fans:

Attendance is FREE, and you don’t need to buy tickets.

  1. That’ my husband’s birthday! 5 hours to LA from PHX. If only school wasn’t back in session! Stupid school!

  2. An addition to the GoT universe, you say?
Wish it was the announcement of a spin-off, but alas, it’s probably going to be either a series of concerts or GoT – The Musical. Hope it’s not the latter.

  3. Amazing news, game of thrones music is like porn to the ears, the event should be breathtaking.

  4. Two best spin off options would be Dunk and egg and Fire and Blood.
Should be fun, can’t wait until we get into our news spree this year ^^ love the off season, awards, and leaks <3

  5. Wish I lived closer to LA! Instead I’m on the other side of the country….Hopefully there’s a tour or something. I would love to hear Ramin Djawadi’s music in person!

  6. Oh man, if this was a weekend night I would make the drive down from SF. Enjoy it if you’re lucky enough to go!

  7. Those of you able to attend, pls give us a blow by blow – really interested in which pieces RD decides to present. Hopefully he’ll take a spin through the states with this show.

  8. Seing Ramin live with a full orchestra must be something to behold ! One more reason I wish I lived in LA.

  9. LA again?? We have some lovely outdoor venues here in the Chicago area: Petrillo in Grant Park and Ravinia for gosh sakes! 🙁
I guess it would cost more to fly the stuff out here…but I can wish, right?

  10. Please let this tour! Summer Musicals at Fair Park (Dallas) runs events like the Pokemon concert and showing LOTR with a full orchestra and chorus playing/singing the soundtrack.

  11. Love the tour idea. I can imagine hearing this with the BSO at Tanglewood, under the stars! Just time for a quick visit to Ilvermorny (Mt. Greylock) en route…

GoT the musical could be a hoot!

Imagine a Westeros theme park, where the adventure is wondering if you’re going to make it out alive.

  13. Tormund,

Every concert I’ve been to at the Palladium has been standing room only. Very few seats by the bar or up in the balcony by VIP. But considering this is a “classical” concert it may be different. Though I don’t see how they’ll fit 3,000 seats there, so I imagine it’s standing only.
