Released today by HBO, the latest House of the Dragon making-of production video shows us what it takes to bring Westeros back to life. The video includes new interviews from showrunners Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan Condal, producer/writer Sara Hess, costume designer Jany Temime, and actors such as Paddy Considine, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Milly Alcock, and Rhys Ifans.

“Returning to Westeros” is only 4 minutes long but it’s jam-packed with goodness, such as peeks at Rhaenyra’s offspring, a shot of Larys Strong at 3:55 just for our buddy JoeMagician, dragonriding-in-VFX progress, fantastic close-ups of costumes, and a wonderful variety of group scenes to pore over and pick apart, as we do. Ramin is still doing the music for HotD. I would prefer to hear something new that can be specifically associated with HotD and I think he’s the perfect man for the job.
This show needs to stand on it’s own, IMO.

George RR Martin has tested positive for COVID.
I saw his video about it last night. Always scary when a senior gets it, even if they have been vaccinated, but he said his symptoms were mild so that’s encouraging. Hope he feels better soon.
