New York Comic Con is getting started and it’s safe to say fans can look forward to another convention full of nerdy merch unveilings, photo ops and cosplay galore. Jack Gleeson will be attending this year, so Game of Thrones fans can have their photos taken with the late King Joffrey if they so desire. I wonder how many times Jack will have to pretend to die again over the next few days?
As for the merchandise coming out of NYCC, there are some beautiful new items on display. At booth #2209, you can check out the jam-packed-full-of-goodness George R. R. Martin Box. It comes in Special, Limited, and Ultra Limited Edition versions with various degrees of Game of Thrones swag. If you like what you see, pre-order it to receive free shipping & a Stark ornament! If you want a closer look – on Tuesday, Penguin Random House hosted a live unboxing of the Ultra Limited Edition, with Jason Concepcion examining the box.
Dark Horse Comics has new merchandise on display at their booth, including this Hand of the Queen Pin, a replica of the one Daenerys gifted to Tyrion. You can check it out at Booth #1636.
Dark Horse’s lovely Three-Eyed Raven Snow Globe can also be found at booth #1636.
The new Game of Thrones Coloring Book from Chronicle Books is making an appearance at booth #2323 at NYCC. Incidentally, if you pre-order the Coloring Book through THIS LINK, you’ll also receive a free deck of Game of Thrones playing cards.
Insight Editions is in attendance, showing off their Game of Thrones Stationery Sets and Journals. They’re available at booth #1536 at the convention and online.
For those of you at New York Comic Con or just in the NYC area in general, Fire and Lunch is hosting MootCon once again and it’s happening tonight at 6:30PM. Swing by Stitch Bar & Lounge, at 247 W 37th St. to join other fans of Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire for a night of fun. It’s a great and friendly group of people, so don’t be shy about joining in!
Hodor!
Wish I could go to comic con. Looks like good stuff happening there!
I need to get one of those pins.
Sue — start a Westworld site, rake in the dinero, and then thank me later.
I think Sue and the other folk behind this site do it as a labour of love, Brian, and don’t earn any wonga.
