Maisie Williams appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers to discuss becoming Blind Arya, plot developments and some of the odd things people in the street ask her to do.  Plus, she shared some all important new footage from Season 6!  Check it out:

We also got a look at a new clip from Game of Thrones Season Six, as a newly blind Arya is taunted by the Waif.

  1. Seems to me the Waif is teaching Arya all she needs to know, hard lessons are the best learned after all.

  2. Not gonna watch this one either. But Maisie looks great!!!

Are they showing in the entire episode prior to the premiere? Minus that “big” Melisandre scene. LOL

  3. I wonder if a cat will be involved? It seems like the show isn’t including anything like that except with Bran.

  4. Efreet:

I’d wait for episode two or three for such a thing.

  5. Those contacts are painful to look at. I can’t imagine how hard it must have been to film with them.

  6. Efreet,

This will be the make-or-break season for that.

My personal prediction is that the blindness is going to be used to explore her connection to Nymeria, and Arya’s final scene of Season 6 will be her, having returned to the Riverlands, coming face to face with Nymeria and her wolfpack.

Given the amount of buildup GRRM has had around Nymeria and co., it’s hard to imagine the show could just drop that whole element of Arya’s story.

  7. Off-Topic,
I’ve heard they’re going to air Episode 6 in the Memorial Day. Bad idea?

  8. Deesensfan,

I know it certainly seems that way. If they are showing us all this then what they aren’t showing us must be really awesome!…lol

  9. Tywin of the Hill,

    Where did you hear it?

Last year they didn’t take a break for EP6 and it had lower ratings.
Is this a good idea? Depends who you ask. HBO will like it because they don’t lose viewers. The viewers may not like it because they have to wait 2 weaks for the next episode.

EDIT. Read your comment wrong! I thought you heard they decided to take a break!

No this isn’t a bad idea. We will just have the usual doomsayers yelling that the show is dying and that lower ratings prove them right. Only to be silenced the next week by higher ratings

  10. Mihnea:

Actually, it was episode 7. And several people, critics included, were certain that significant drop in viewers was caused by controversial Sansa scene in previous episode. People of westeros org already speculated that the show will get cancelled. And then Hardhome happened…

  11. Mihnea,

Last year it was episode 7 i believe and i love how that decrease in the rating for that episode is attributed to sansa’s wedding..
I like they are not taking the break because that wait between episodes is worse

  12. They did a break for season 4.. I remember we had to wait for 2 weeks for the mountain vs viper :p

  13. Since the Waif is totally different in the books, almost Arya’s friend, I think we have another Winds of Winter ‘non-spoiler’. Don’t know where it goes but me thinks the story with the House of Black and White will be totally different in WoW than the show, and I am not sure what that means.

  14. NeymarJr 123,

Breaks are pointless at this point. HBO isn’t going to care if 1 episode has lower ratings.
They are already swimming in cash thanks to AGOT.

  15. Maisie has so much energy and a nice sense of humor. She’s so sweet that she spoke to the audience as much as Seth, drawing them in like they are at a dinner party. She interacted so well with Seth that it got me thinking that she’d be fun as the host of SNL.

A few more hours and we’re in single digits on the countdown clock!

  16. Lord Parramandas,

Oh you beat me to it

Last year at the time there were people who came up with answer whenever that argument is made..
But now after a year there are people who still making the same claim at the rant threads and some people actually buy that arguement and there is no one to come up with the obvious reason

  17. Jon Snowed,

American holiday on the last Monday in May. To remember those who gave their lives protecting our freedom. Also the unofficial kick off of summer–a weekend when the weather is warm enough for everyone to get outside, barbecue, have some fun…

  18. Lord Parramandas: People of westeros org already speculated that the show will get cancelled. And then Hardhome happened…

Hah! God, am I glad I never visit that wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Well, except the asoiaf wiki. The wiki is good.

  19. I don’t know about you guys, but I take a break from what I’m doing and watch GoT, even on Memorial Day. No worries whatsoever.

  20. trarecar,

I’m glad there isn’t a break. I’m kinda bothered when the rest of the world has to take a break because of a american holiday……. 🙂

  21. Mihnea:
    trarecar,

I’m glad there isn’t a break. I’m kinda bothered when the rest of the world has to take a break because of a american holiday…….

I hate breaks in between shows, especially if it’s Game of Thrones. The Walking Dead does it every year for TWO MONTHS!

  22. Sean C.:
    Efreet,

This will be the make-or-break season for that.

Yeah I can understand why they’ve opted not to go into it so emphasise Bran and his high potency, so they don’t think they are wargs “like Bran” given Bran is on a who different level

But now that Bran is hooked into the Weirnet and is walking around time and space and everything, hopefully they can start going into the Warg abilities of the other Starks

I suspect Sansa is developing Warg relationships with Dogs similar to Arya with Cats and Cat of the Canals, but they may just ignore her

But for Arya, when reading the Mercy chapter it’s her “Wolf Dreams” that prevents her from truly ever being able to become “no one” and keeps the vestiges of Arya alive. It’s quite telling the Kindly Man for all of his abilities couldn’t tell she was a warg (then again perhaps he could, guess we’ll find out)

So, hopefully they do the warg abilities justice. I guess they have to justify whether it is relevant enough in a TV show that has to move things along

  23. If they took memorial day weekend off this year, the season finale would be on 4th of July weekend. I’m guessing they like that option less.

  24. I actually like the break, as the season is over so damn fast. Love/hate. But definitely love this interview! 🙂

  25. We wait long enough between seasons…just play the show.

Have a GOT drinking party if you don’t have to work the next day…what could be more perfect?

I have no bad feeling about this.

  26. Tywin of the Hill,

As others have already said, HBO doesn’t really care about Live+SD ratings anymore. Furthermore, in order for Game of Thrones to be eligible for the 2015-2016 Emmys (and defend its Outstanding Drama Series win), HBO needs to air at least 6 episodes before the eligibility cutoff on May 31. Because the show is premiering later than ever this year, the show can’t take a week off and still meet that threshold. HBO pushed the premiere back as far as it was possible for them to do without doubling up on episodes. They don’t have much choice – no break this year.

  27. dragonreborn:
looks like we’re gonna watch the whole episode in talk shows

The clips are so dang short though… small pieces of scenes. I’m saying “MORE!” when they’re showing them but I’ll be glad they were short when the episode airs.

Seth did much better interviewing Maisie than Conan did with Sophie and John, in my opinion. He was more sincere and seemingly interested and wasn’t trying as hard to be funny. Maisie has become very comfortable doing these sort of things as well.

  28. I wouldn’t mind a break myself. The last episodes (when the best stuff happens) tend to overlap with my exams.

  29. Love these short clips, these days are going to blow by quick.
The combo of GOT 50, trailers and clips is making this wait easy.
Season 6 is almost apon is!!!!

  30. Maisie: “she’s no longer with us.” *joke ensues* Interviewer: “death by stick?”

Did we just get a spoiler about The Waif’s fate?!

  31. It’s already thursday…wow this week is going by faster than expected.

    Tomorrow will be 9 days!!

VALAR HYPEGULIS, ALL MEN MUST HYPE

  32. Are we seeing a good cop – bad cop routine with Jaqen and The Waif with respect to Arya to start the season with? (or at least bad cop and less bad cop routine).

HBO doesn’t care about lower ratings for one episode – their subscribers are all they care about. Though I am certain some viewers will look to the previous episode for anything/everything they didn’t like and blame the drop on that! 😉 If the TOJ is in Episode 5 and they don’t like it, then it’s sure to be blamed! 😀

  33. trarecar:
I don’t know about you guys, but I take a break from what I’m doing and watch GoT, even on Memorial Day.No worries whatsoever.

Normally I would too. Last year I couldn’t because I went with a bunch of friends to a campground. I don’t think it bothers most people these days when they miss initial airing since we can pull it up a couple hours later easily enough.

Memorial Day (weekend) does make a difference in my area because for a lot of people it’s the first time they get out to their lake cabins or pull out their campers. A person is likely to stay around the bonfire with family and friends over watching, if HBO is even accessible.

  34. Hawk:
Maisie: “she’s no longer with us.” *joke ensues* Interviewer: “death by stick?”

Did we just get a spoiler about The Waif’s fate?!

I think she might kill the Waif and escape. It looks like that during the first and second trailers. In the first trailer, Arya is jumping off a roof, probably running from the Waif, and in the second trailer, I think we see her bloody hand touch a wall in the end of the trailer, meaning she probably killed the Waif. All just speculation of course, but i hope it happens, Arya will have her sight back by then.

  35. if you go to HBO.com and look at their May schedule, they already schedule episode 6 for May 29. So no holiday break

  36. I love Maisie and John Bradley so much! Maisie is all zany yet adorable with her clothes and personality, and John is just freaking hilarious. I’m thrilled we got to see interviews with them both. They are probably my favorite actors for the entire show.

  37. NeymarJr 123:
They did a break for season 4.. I remember we had to wait for 2 weeks for the mountain vs viper :p

And for season 3 as well. Between the Second Sons and the Rains of Castamere.

  38. andriakenas,

Yes, actually. I was working on something for Civil War (somewhat of a Marvel fan here), but then the new GoT trailer dropped. I guess Marvel will have to wait 😀

  39. Connor,

That would be pretty cool. It’d also be interesting to see how “Jaquen” takes it. Offing one of his assassins and taking some of their training probably won’t sit too well with him.

  40. LawofFury,

All signs are that Nymeria’s wolf pack is going to be a big part of Arya’s contribution to the War for the Dawn. Dropping it would be a huge change in her story, and isn’t really comparable to excising a secondary main character.
  41. I wish they would take the break – the season is over too fast. Anything to make it last longer.

  42. Ghosts Lunch,

I miss the Kindly Man from the books – with Jaquen its so much darker. However I wouldn’t have wanted them to have kept KM: its different, but in a good way kwim?

  43. Another fun interview. I have this one on my DVR, so I’ll get another look at it this evening (that show airs past my bedtime 🙂 ).

    Connor,

I’d guess that scene where the bloody hand is feeling the wall is Arya after getting her ass beat. She’s feeling her way back to her room. After some practice, Blind Arya is definitely going to beat the crap out of the waif. I’m not saying she won’t kill the waif eventually. If she does, I think that’ll happen after

    she gets her sight back.
  44. Clob: The clips are so dang short though… small pieces of scenes.I’m saying “MORE!” when they’re showing them but I’ll be glad they were short when the episode airs.

Exactly; maybe he’s a fan while Conan not really.

  45. Kay,

Are we seeing a good cop – bad cop routine with Jaqen and The Waif with respect to Arya to start the season with? (or at least bad cop and less bad cop routine).

I thought that at first, then Jaqen got mean, but yeah a bad cop less bad cop would work!

  46. Ashara D,

In the part where Arya was training with the Waif, you can see her sight back, her eyes are squinted but you can tell that they’re normal.

  48. Speaking of breaks, I won’t be able to watch the premier when its shown, because my family for many reasons decided to have Passover Seder on Sunday. They will not take kindly to me suddenly leaving the table and turning on the tv….Im taping it, so I’ll see it when I get home, but dang thats going to be the longest seder in history for me (it will be fun tho, some relatives I haven’t seen in a while will be there. Still tho…)

  49. Deesensfan,

Oh. Didn’t really show on Sophie’s interview… well, maybe Maisie is a better interviewee or Meyers a better host? It’s no important anyhow.

On a different subject, now that I got the occasion, I’ve been meaning to ask you for some time now: how do you resist the spoilers???

  50. I really hope we get to hear the White Walkers talk this season. Pleeeeaasssee. I want to know what they sound like and what their language is.

  51. Sou,

I seem to remember Conan said he read the books, so….I thought that interview was cool, but she did seem more relaxed on Meyers

I don’t happen to mind spoilers, sometimes they add to the excitement for me not sure why. I know I am way in the minority on this one tho. I like that Sue and co have tried to keep the spoilers under the post so people who don’t want to look just don’t continue reading it

  52. ash:
    Sou,

I seem to remember Conan said he read the books, so….I thought that interview was cool, but she did seem more relaxed on Meyers

Seth has read them (too). Conan has acted like and said that he’s a GoT fan so I don’t believe that’s the issue. His interviews have been okay, but he tends to get sidetracked. When the time slot is only ~8 minutes that’s not good for those that want to hear as much info as possible.

  53. I don’t like the direction they’ve went with the House of Black and White stuff and I was really looking forward to it especially with Jaqen’s return. Remember there was a lot of excitement about Jaqen returning but once he showed up people seemed to not even care anymore. He was no longer the fan favorite character that everyone looked forward to seeing like he was in season 2 and this is because he didn’t have the cool suave likable personality he had in season 2. He was now stern, mean, and nowhere near as likable. They should have kept the character dynamics Arya and Jaqen had in season 2 with a more likable Jaqen and the training storyline would work better.

The Waif is another character they made to be unnecessarily hostile and aggressive which makes these training scenes often annoying. They have done this with almost every female character that has a more innocent feminine personality type which they always choose to make aggressive and bitchy.

  54. Sou,

I agree. That interview was weird. But if you see his previous interviews with Lena and even Benioffs wife, they talk a lot about GOT. I think the guy that was there was super distracting and annoying at the same time.

I haven’t seen Maisie’s interview yet as I have taped it.

Regarding spoilers, I have been unsullied since the beginning, so every single episode has been a surprise for me. And though I want answers so badly for what’s to come *cough* Jon *cough*, I want to keep that element of surprise, another reason I have also waited to read the books. its only since the end of season 4 that I have been a super frequent visitor of this website. Before that I was only coming on to read Oz’s reviews. Now I read almost all of the Unsullied safe articles/posts.

Its been hard this year with all the mystery for season 6, and because everyone on here is super hyped especially because all of you don’t know what to expect so even the filming spoilers are being discussed 10x more. But I have managed through, and only ten days to go.

    I do know that

Kit was spotted on set – people were saying that in the comments without spoiler tags, but he also was asked about it in some of the interviews I watched. but I have not seen the photo and don’t know any other details. So I take what Kit tells me haha
  55. Deesensfan,

To which ‘big’ scene do you refer? Mel is down-n-out, stumbling against the ropes, lost faith. Not a chance, I’m saying. Also, it’s too obvious and many expect it to be so because of Thoros & Beric.

  56. Connor,

I thought they communicate using telepathy, but this doesn’t work on TV. So, yeah! They must have a language and it should sound frightening. Are we going to hear another made-up language? I’d love that.

  57. Wilber’s Forza Danza,

I don’t know. I heard from interviews with Carice and Liam that theres a big scene involving Mel in the premiere episode.
I personally DONT think its Mel resurrecting Jon. I also don’t think she is dying in that episode (I believe she will walk the battlements of winterfell as she has seen in her visions as well as meeting Arya again as she has seen in her visions)

I just mentioned BIG SCENE based on what I heard

  58. ash,

Spoilers do the same for me. That’s why I love them, they make me even more excited.
And about non GOT reunions, it will happen for me for episode 2. I’m invited to a party which I know will be fun, but people there don’t watch GOT. I hope HBO will show episode 2 in advance, during the previous night, as it will do with the first one. Living in Europe, I usually watch GOT on Monday evenings.

  59. JamesL:
I don’t like the direction they’ve went with the House of Black and White stuff and I was really looking forward to it especially with Jaqen’s return. Remember there was a lot of excitement about Jaqen…

The Waif is another character they made to be unnecessarily hostile and aggressive…

I think I agree with all of this. The waif’s behavior and intentions appear to be more inline with jealousy and bitterness toward Arya, which doesn’t seem to fit the HoBaW. In this scene she finds Arya in the street and starts beating on her in a way that’s more about anger than it is training. So far they haven’t had the waif teaching Arya anything about poisons or how to speak Braavosi. All she’s done is stand around making bitchy remarks.

They set up Jaqen and Arya as forming a bond, a sort of friendship, and even a yearning to remain together in the scene when he gave her the coin. So yeah, what they’ve done hasn’t really gone as desired, but I suppose it’s hard to do much better when they’ve essentially turned Jaqen into the Kindly Man.

  60. We’ve seen the Wall, the North, Kings Landing, Dany, Sam/Gilly, and now Arya clips! Nice!

    10 days!!!!!!

  61. Shy Lady Dragon,

I had read an interview with David Peterson a while back saying that he had created a language for the WW, but D&D decided not to use it. He also said it might be used later in the series.

  62. Sullied by Knight:

I heard somewhere that the language they speak is called Skroth, and that their voices sound like breaking ice.

  63. Tywin of the Hill:
    Off-Topic,

They have to air it then since they delayed the premiere and they need to be eligible for the Emmys.

Maisie: “she’s no longer with us.” *joke ensues* Interviewer: “death by stick?”

Did we just get a spoiler about The Waif’s fate?!

To be honest I think that’s reading far too much into it, Maisie is trying to make the joke that with the painful contacts she accidentally killed Faye -nothing at all to do with Arya’s storyline

  65. Flayed Potatoes:
    Kay,

I hope we get the ToJ in episode 5.

I am so pumped for the Tower of Joy!

I have no doubts that we will find out about Jon’s parentage this season! Why else would Bran and the 3-Eyed Crow have a vision about that anyways?

  66. I think the main reason that they took a break on Memorial Day in seasons three and four was because there were Season-defining, shocking climaxes in the episodes that were supposed to air on that day. Memorial Day viewership was way down during this pivotal week in Season 2. Waiting for a lot of people to catch up on subsequent days (in Seasons 3 and 4) would have severely lessened the impact of the RW and M vs. V story lines to those that were spoiled via social media. I think that the show runners weighed the pros and cons for this season, including the late start date/Emmy cutoff/episode content, and went with what made the most sense for this particular episode and season.

  67. OT, but someone over on reddit has been doing some detective work and seems to have figured out where Litterfinger is in the trailer:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/4erpcl/spoilers_everything_i_think_i_figured_out_exactly/

I think he’s right about Littlefinger being in the Godswood because the trees and the knots in the trees seem to line up. I know a lot of people speculated that that would be where Littlefinger was, but I think this adds more proof to it. I suspect that this is in episode 9 or 10 after Winterfell is won for the Starks, but I’m curious as to why Littlefinger would be lurking around the Godswood instead of inside the castle walls and who approaches him. Time will tell…
  68. and once again someone asked the cast about jon, this time ign.
Sometimes I actually believe them with their comments, but it can just not be true.

  69. Connor: I am so pumped for the Tower of Joy!

I have no doubts that we will find out about Jon’s parentage this season! Why else would Bran and the 3-Eyed Crow have a vision about that anyways?

The Tower of Joy is, maybe, the scene I am most excited for.

I have always wanted to see Lyanna

I hope they reconsider and use the icy language. I imagine it would sound unpleasant, but so appropriate.

  70. Connor,

I would love hearing their language and learning more about them. I feel like it will be a good story and they won’t be just the bad guys.

I’m sure I’m not alone in this, but I’d also like a little more understanding about the religions and the prophecies. How do the glass candles tie in and why would one red priestess believe that Daeny is the promised while another believes it is Jon (well, it was Stannis and I’m assuming Mel finally realizes why R’hllor was showing her Snow).

  71. Efreet,

There was a nod to that for book readers in season 5 .in bravos , Arya is pushing her cart full of clams and a cat runs by her . Arya looks at the cat and then smiles . (Cat of the canals )

  72. Sean C.,

My bad. I meant something more along the lines of why would he be walking around the woods instead of the more built up area.
  73. Name *,

I got a big laugh from their earlobe comparisons – although I confess that I have done the same! Skimmed a little of the conversations and like the idea of Sansa using the line “What do we do to those who hurt the ones we love” right before she has someone take Littlefinger out of the game.

  74. Clob,

Learning about poison and a new language doesn’t make for good TV.
What was the biggest complaint about Arya’s story? That it was too slow. Imagine iuf they made it even slower..
I remember many complaints back when AFFC was released as well. All the same, too slow.

To me, she needed a foil. A adversary/rival, to give her something to do.
And I guess here we just see things differently, I see the Waif teaching Arya things. Though I agree, in a much harsher way.
To me this was a good combination.

  75. Mihnea,

I don’t disagree that watching too much learning would be boring, but so far all they’ve shown to be teaching her is how to lie pretty much. It doesn’t have to be much time spent. There were short bits of Daenerys learning Dothraki that weren’t cumbersome. With the sparring clip it appears that they’ll at least do a little more this season. I guess my point about it is that IF she’s to become some dangerous assassin it would be nice to see a little of how she got there rather than just assume.

  76. Name *,

    Good find!

That looks very much like the Godswood indeed.

So it would be possible that that figure turning towards him is Sansa. Her praying in front of that Weirwood would be a very strong image and it could also be a nice rounding up her S6 arc that seems to about her finally reconnecting with her northern (cultural) heritage.

  77. Kit Hairyton,

Yep, only hearing good things so far, but that was to be expected considering the superb job the directors did with the last Captain America movie.

On topic: Does anyone have a higher quality version of this clip? Currently it looks very blurry and even has some sort of watermark in the lower left corner.

  78. Flayed Potatoes:
    Connor,

Definitely! It makes no sense to just show a fight without the context. I’m so hyped!

I totally forgot this character was alive as the end of season 5. I have no clue what he might do in season 6.

I’m thinking he’ll only have a few scenes. I wonder if he’ll even make it back to KL, or will Jaime/Bronn off him on the ship back? Maybe they bring him back and Cersei feeds him to FrankenMountain.

  79. Just saw what looked like a blended sort of trailer, almost like a trailer 1/2 remix, on ESPN… Not sure if anything new popped out of it, only caught bit of it

  80. Mihnea:

I agree with this, in the books it’s made clear with narrative that the time spent in the HoB&W is quite a long period ( two moons just as Cat of the Canals IIRC) and given the original 5 year gap plan for the books who knows that it might been several years for Arya’s Braavos/HoB&W and onwards story to play out before she re-appears as…whatever GRRM had in mind.

Honestly we just don’t know how this mini-arc of Arya’s story will evolve and I for one don’t assume that she will be a diploma holding fully qualified Faceless Man by the end of it- that seems too pat. Season 6 will make things clearer I am sure even if it sounds like her story will still appear somewhat tangential to events elsewhere.

  81. Ser Not Appearing in this Series,

    Agree.
I think that to much ”training” over this mundane stuff actaully hurt her story.

It felt that she was in…. Oh screw it.. It felt that she was put into Dragon Ball Z’s hyperbolic time chamber, it felt that she was put there just so she could learn a bunch of stuff, because she isn’t ready to face her enemies yet. And everyone there was more then glad to teach her…..

That was my biggest complaint about her story in the books.
I’m glad they didn’t make the FM so..welcoming and gave her a rival of some sorts.

  82. Flayed Potatoes,

Me neither, but I must admit that he’s the only actor from all the cast that I could do without. That pouty mouth thing he’s doing is so incredibly annoying.

  83. I’m more pumped for the Northern storylines, Bran’s storyline this season and the White Walkers more than King’s Landing, and Daenerys’ storyline.

This season still looks like it will be the best one yet. And the days are surprisingly going by fast.

  84. Deesensfan,

He was poised to take a seat on the small council.

My guess depends on one big factor. What will Jaime do. Will he try to explain to Cersei that Myrcella loved Trystane or not? My guess is that he will.

  85. Jack Bauer 24: I’m thinking he’ll only have a few scenes. I wonder if he’ll even make it back to KL, or will Jaime/Bronn off him on the ship back? Maybe they bring him back and Cersei feeds him to FrankenMountain.

If it’s the last one, all hell breaks loose. Doran will go nuts.

  86. LawofFury,

The thing is, while, sure, some book readers were upset Arianne was cut (although many of them are the same types who are upset over any cut or change), many book readers were happy she was cut, or at least indifferent to her being cut. The same would not be the case for Nymeria. Of course, we don’t know what Nymeria and her pack will do in the upcoming books, but I agree with the person who said there’s been such a build-up, it’s almost bound to be something significant.

I’m definitely perplexed by the dynamics between Arya and the Waif on the show, and I don’t really like how contentious they’ve made the relationship. Perhaps as the season progresses, it will make more sense to me why they’ve gone that route. Then again, it may end up one of those things I just don’t like so much, which is a shame, since I love that storyline. Ah well, even if that ends up being the case, it’s impossible to make everyone happy.

  87. Deesensfan:
    Flayed Potatoes,

    Revenge his love?

He seems too helpless for that. If he wants revenge, I assume he’ll have to go back to Dorne (if Cersei lets him).

He has nice hair and that’s about it.

  88. Nymeria Warrior Queen,

I will say that a majority of readers, even if they may have been dissapointed in Dorne, don’t think Arienne would have made it better.

I made my point very clear on Dorne, so I won’t go into it.

  89. Flayed Potatoes,

My random guess. I think he will stay in KL and try to prevent a outright war.

That is while Kevan rules, witch many people seem to forget, but if Cersei takes over, then all bets are off.

Again I think it will vastly depend on what Jaime will tell Cersei about him.

  90. Flayed Potatoes,

yeah I am super curious how that is going to play out. I mean Trystane was on that ship with Jamie.
I wanted to see some Martells in the trailer (I like the Dorne story)
I guess ill just have to wait and see. At least we will have an answer for that in episode 601.

  91. Im really looking forward to Arya’s storyline this season. I loved her scenes in Season 5 and thought they were very well written and acted (even though I agree that it was a bit slow). The atmosphere and music was great as well

They need to start connecting Arya back to the main story(s) and characters and don’t have to introduce/explain a lot of things like they had to last year so im expecting her story to move faster

  92. Nymeria Warrior Queen,

Hmm, something whispers that you might be biased toward Nymeria for some strange reason. But I still agree. I love all of the prophetic snippets from ASoIaF, but among my favorite has to be that “when the snow falls and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.” I cannot help but think that the wolves and wolf-warging will be crucial in the end, more so than the any of the snakes.

  93. Deesensfan,

oh! Then I might also be responsible for spoiling you a little bit, I am sure I have discussed that! Sorry!
Right now I am more worried about the premiere: I will be in the Middle East by next week and stay there for a few weeks, so what will I do?
There was a friend here who suggested I could watch it on some app, or live streaming, but although I had written all that down, I have misplaced it…

    Any ideas, anyone?

Google something like “game of thrones watch online free” and you’ll get some websites.

  95. Ginevra,

What would ever make you think I could have a bias toward Nymeria??? 😉

As someone who actually kind of liked book-Dorne, the one thing I couldn’t stand about it was Arianne. She is, hands down, one of my least favorite book-characters.

  96. Sou,

    No worries:)

My cousin lives in Dubai. It’s funny because yesterday I asked her how she will watch GOT and she said live stream.
I can ask her for more details 🙂

  97. richarddecredico,

Not sure if you are joking; in case you are not, some people who aren’t necessarily religious or even believe in god celelbrate religious holidays to respect the tradition and the culture of our background, and be together with family and friends. (which is ironic, since we are not have seder on Passover!) I would not think about missing this even for the GOT premier, after all, I can watch it later, no biggie. Just miffed I have to wait a few more hours then everyone else1

Speaking of religion – yes to the comment that I would love to know more about the religions in the story, because knowing that information gives background to language and culture I vaguely remember more in the books, would like to see more, but not sure how much the show could add without overloading an already full to the brim cauldron

  98. Book spoiler, but:

its really tough to remember that unsullied have no idea Arya gets her vision back. This entire blind part of the show is not intriguing to me at all…

I love it as well and I expect Nymeria to come back. I have bought a purse mirror with two wolves on the lid with this quotation in mind. But who wouldn’t love wolves after the show pilot?

  100. I was going to say something, but I can’t remember how to do spoiler code. >.<

I'm not even sure it's needed anymore, but why risk ruining things for people?

  101. I like Maisie and she is a good actress but I personally found her story-line boring the last 2 years. And, in some of her interviews she seems resentful that people are asking about Jon Snow all the time. Maisie, you are not the star of the show!

  102. Deesensfan:
    Wilber’s Forza Danza,

I don’t know. I heard from interviews with Carice and Liam that theres a big scene involving Mel in the premiere episode.
I personally DONT think its Mel resurrecting Jon. I also don’t think she is dying in that episode (I believe she will walk the battlements of winterfell as she has seen in her visions as well as meeting Arya again as she has seen in her visions)

I just mentioned BIG SCENE based on what I heard

The Telegraph newspaper review also mentions a “Melisandre twist” quite explicitly; I also took away from the review that it may possibly be the last scene of the episode…

  103. Since I’ve been re-watching the seasons from the beginning, and then seeing clips of the actors and actresses now, I am amazed at how much they have changed & grown (in more than one way…. mentally and physically, etc). Maisie looks absolutely beautiful in these press tour shows, especially this one, and has truly come into her own. She’s such a beautiful young woman!

  104. johnny braavos,

I was thinking about this also…She is learning many things while blind and he tests her daily and questions her, as usual about what she learns…..not saying anymore as to spoil, but he ultimately decides how long “it” lasts…. found that interesting in the book verison… I liked that twist…. Also as wel as the other differences in the books vs TV show…. more than others realize.

  105. i totally want to vomit on those legs and pound her in the filthy cesspol of mankind. i’d probably fuck her until i’d have a stroke and just die on top of her. ok. i’ll stop now.

  106. I was disappointed that Seth didn’t do an skit with Maisie like Jon Snow at a dinner party or Melissandre at a baby shower. Arya at a birthday party? At the mall? At a funeral?
