Glad to know I wasn’t the only one who cried at those words.
Yes, very sad. Not only being Maester Aemon’s final words, but the actor Peter Vaughan who played the part so well has now passed away also 🙁
This man, who played Maester Aemon, was wonderful in this role. One of those “lesser characters” who stole every scene he was in. Working right up until the end as well, bless his heart. I’m sure the GOT cast is heartbroken.
He was a wonderful actor. I also loved his rendition of Denethor in the BBC Radio adaptation of LotR.
