You lucky B’stard Gendry – in the UK “Bastard” is a surname https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bastard_(surname) There was the fictional character the MP B’stard in the 1980s/90s (?) UK comedy The New Statesman. But here endeth the lesson for today and you probably knew that anyway. Not that I’ve met anyone surnamed Bastard. Maybe they’ve all changed their names by deed poll.
