  1. I love the oath one, but I don’t want to jinx myself with the “father no children” part… I really, really like the Longclaw shirt

  2. Man, none of the ones i voted for made it through! I will still buy 32948346 shirts as long as it wasn’t that stannis head one 😉 ;P

  3. Fienix:
    Nippled Breastplate,

Yeah, that’s the #1 reason I just can’t vote for it.The tree looks too damn happy.Obviously it hasn’t been paying attention.????

As the designer of the weirwood one, I am totally willing to make it an unhappy tree if that is what is desired by all. I kept going back and forth when I was making it. I ended up with more of a Knight of the Laughing Tree sort of face.

  4. Bleh none of my favorites made it except #1, so I guess i’m going for that as the best overall design of the bunch here.

  5. Hmm, none of the ones I voted for made it, although these six are still really good, and were amongst my favourite.

I’ve only voted for one here, but I would be happy whichever of these wins.

  6. Faceless Frey,

I voted for the weirwood tree & I liked his smiley face – but I’ll go along with whatever the consensus is about whether the tree should be 🙁 or 🙂

  7. the oath one would be cool if it was put on the back of one of the other ones with just the big W. Who want’s an entire paragraph on the front of a shirt?

  8. It would be real shame if the weirwood design didn’t win. It’s by far the most unique.

  9. Two of mine made it through! Voted for the tree and the oath.

The tree can be happy or sad, I don’t mind either way. Sad would probably more in keeping with the show’s general mood, but it looks as happy as I am whenever new tidbits arrive on the site, so it reflects my feelings about WotW more accurately.

  10. GeekFurious,

    Faceless Frey

    I voted Longclaw and Oath.

I hope that yours is one that I voted for….but I did also love the laughing weirwood tree. Heck I actually like them all, even though none of my submissions made it, I didn’t think they would.

So KUDO’S to those that made the cut. Good luck. 😀

I just voted for your design (and Longclaw) but the overly happy tree definitely put me off, too. I was just thinking that I really wished it had a more serious face when I saw these comments. It’d be cool if you could re-work that a little! If not, that’s fine too 🙂

  12. Faceless Frey,

I had wanted to vote for that one, too, but I thought the tree should not have a happy face.

(I’d still buy one with the happy face, though, if it ends up being the overall winner)

  13. Boo! No “Always support the bottom.” Oh well, I voted again for oath and longclaw. For some reason, I thought the oath was on the BACK of the shirt. Well, I’ll wear it anyway if it wins.

    So fun, gang! Thanks!

  14. Love them all!!! I voted for Longclaw and Oath. However, my ideal shirt design would be for the oath to be on the back of the Longclaw design. That would be perfect in my eyes!!

Regardless, I will be purchasing whichever one wins!!

  15. For what its worth…..if “Oath” wins, I would also prefer it be on the back of the T-Shirt, maybe with the WotW logo on the front.

  16. 3 and 4, but when I clicked VOTE nothing happened, so I’m not sure it worked. I do worry about 4. Oath. An friend thought that maybe the words were under copyright. Hmmm…

  17. Faceless Frey,

Your one is my number one pick. Apart from it being one of the few non-tacky and non-gimmicky shirts in the whole contest, it’s visually fun and interesting. Very quirky. It’s the only one I’d personally spend money on.

  18. Hey guys.

Just got back from holiday in Dubrovnik (Kings Landing).

First of all, it’s an amazing place, definitely reccomend people go.

Second, went on a game of thrones tour there, shown all the filming locations/inside stories etc.

Couple of interesting things from it:

Mainly, the tour guide said that HBO have not sorted any filming time in the city yet. Haven’t even applied for it. Apparantly in the last few years because of the logistics behind using such a busy city, it has been sorted long before now.

The guide reckons that it’s probably just being kept top secret, so that the city isn’t any busier than it would normally be by people booking flights just to see filming. Although she also said that it may mean that they won’t be filming much in Dubrovnik this year.

Second thing I found really interesting from the tour, is that in some of the riot scenes (like the one where the high septon gets torn apart). A lot of the Croatian extras were just told to shout and be angry, so most of them shouted Croatian political protests! calling for the ex prime minister to be imprisoned (which he now is for corruption) and shouting about politicians involvements in the war there…

    I found that really cool.

Interesting! Remind me again what Dubrovnik was mostly used for? Was it KL or Essos?

Ha ha, great piece of inside info! One of my friends speaks Croatian – I’ll show her the scene sometime and see if she can confirm it.

  20. I voted for the two I voted for in the preliminary (Corn and the raven), instead of the two I wanted to vote for in the prelims (Tree and Oath). I can get a shirt with the oath on it somewhere else on the internet. That said, if it were on the back of a site specific front, I’d dig it. The tree might be too quirky for me but I’d still buy it.

I’m sad no Hodor, We know everything, and concede always support the bottom for legibility and being a better slogan for underwear.

  21. The Oath is a nice graphic but the words are too gender-specific for me to feel like I could wear it. It’s a guy shirt.

  22. ThroneDrone,

I had thought of that as well. While I usually wear my tshirts out, I think it would make more sense to have it on the back, and then the WOW letterhead design on the front. I chose 1 and 4 but would probably buy any of them (tho I’d like the weirwood to look spookier)

  23. #2 Weirwood seems the clear victor to me. It balances style, estetic, and doesn’t crowd the shirt. I’d order it for sure.

  24. It’s Weirwood and Watchers’ Raven for me. “Corn” is clever, but if this is to be a WotW shirt, I’d like for it to say Watchers on the Wall somewhere. Hype the site!

  25. Yes! Three of my votes made it! But my heart truly lies with corn. It may be the most important word spoken in the books… we just don’t know it yet.

  26. @Mods

Would you guys consider changes made to the designs? Minor ones, mind you. Just wondering, since so many suggestions are coming up here and most of them seem to go in the same direction.

For instance, many people here feel that the oath should go on the back of the shirt, so would you consider that? Or that the tree (my favorite) should look scarier. The designer already said he/she would alter it – no problem. So is that something you would allow at some point?

  27. Weirwood (even if it is happy lol) and Longclaw got my vote

Good to go for something rather minimalistic as others have said

Tree might be good with a scary or rather foreboding expression as others have said (lol, just have to incorporate the expression on Sue the Fury’s face every time she says “cover your spoilers”)

  28. I wonder if there is a combination that can occur

Eg Longclaw on the front and Oath on the back may mix well with eachother?

  29. I voted for and I love the Weirwood smiling, I would love it if it was sad too.

Agree about Oath on the back.

  30. I voted Weirwood and Longclaw. They are aesthetically pleasing to me but with, as others have mentioned, the tree being a little less exuberant (to fit the theme though it is cute!) I really like Corn probably the best of all but thought it needs to have the site name placement somewhere.

  31. By the way, does anyone know when the second round of voting for the cast/scene awards comes up?

  32. Sue the Fury,

Cool, thanks for the update! I wasn’t sure if maybe it was scrapped and I missed the announcement or if it just me being impatient. I figured the latter 🙂

  33. I voted #1 and corn. I would probably have voted for the weirwood, but my own perverted mind and the ones of my friends would never have taken it seriously lol

If I could adjust Corn I would have definitely submitted a back design as well. As I said in the preliminary voting post I really wanted to include a “Watchers on the Wall” logo back design for it but wasn’t sure I could. Ah well. I’m just super happy people like it as it is! 🙂

  35. Queen of the Keys,

That gave me another idea I’d like to throw to the mods. I think all the designs submitted are worthy of printing (I would wear the shit out of Fewer #2) Would it be possible to set up a mini shop in Redbubble or Cafepress or wherever for WotW specifically aimed at getting everyone’s designs out there?

  36. dee,

I agree about the smiling weirwood. It’s as though the tree represents WotW, and its “visions” are always the timeliest and most accurate. And, of course, there’s Meera’s describing the Tourney at Harrenhal to Bran: “The device upon his [?] shield was a heart tree of the old gods, a white weirwood with a laughing red face.”

  37. Queen of the Keys,

You’re welcome! 🙂 Oh and I was too late to edit but I thought if they do make a separate shop for all the contestant shirts maybe it could be like a charity thing for say… New Mexico’s Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary or something of the like. Bam! Cool shirts by fans for fans for a good cause! Everyone wins. I’m having all sorts of ideas today!

  38. Queen of the Keys:
Sad the #hairwatch didn’t make it XD
But my favorite one is here so it’s great!
    CORN?

    Yeah that wasn’t bad

I actually had a chuckle at that when a photo of Kit Harrington and Natalhie Emmanuel(?) I think it was got posted,

I case of whose hair is being watched, that Missandei Fro is quite something

    That’s a fair point

But is it a joyful laugh, a sarcastic one etc?

I guess if it gets up we can have this discussion later, eg a third voting round for different variations or something

  40. Oath and Longclaw would be my first choices. I would have picked the Weirwood tree but the face is all wrong. It needs to have more of a grim etched face not some big goofy Scooby Doo smile!
