    1. OMG, DROGON LOOKS FUCKING HUGE IN THAT ONE SHOT!!

And it looks like Richard Brake is still playing the Night King, and it looks like they are attacking the 3 Eyed crows cave!!!

I got feels when Tormund said that he thought Jon was going to lead them through the Long Night….

        Quote  Reply

    2. Ser Arthur Dayne kicking ass at the 1:02. #GetHYPE!!

Also, looked like the Nights King was strolling through the wall after it fell.

Bloody Epic, this is a trailer!!!!
best Game of Thrones trailer to date hands down, Tower of Joy, Jaime Leading the Lannister army, the Freys and tullys are back, The Big battle in the North, Davos with the Northern Army, Arya training/fighting in the house of black and white, the white walkers look creepy as hell, and the three eyed raven and a hooded figure…..

      Winter has Come!!!!!!

    4. It looks like Davos is going to do a lot, taking charge… After having seen this trailer I think that Jon wont even be in the first half of the season, to make people doubt that he will ever come back and then all of a sudden he will appear at the battle with Mel. Davos is the one who is going to start the war against the Boltons.

    5. Also posted in other feed:

      First glances….

      Brienne and Pod at Riverrun.

      Walder Frey (at a wedding?)

Sansa in a dress with Stark emblem

Davos referring to the long night (in the same Castle chamber that Sansa was in on the previous trailers)

        Quote  Reply

    6. The dragons are looking so effing huge I knew they would but actually see them in action is a whole new thing im so hyyyyyyped

On a side note I guess we were wrong about the acctress who’d play the red priestess in Meereen right?

        Quote  Reply

    7. That trailer was stellar! Even better than the first.

It’s not the most dynamic shot, but Sansa in her dress/armor adorned with the Stark sigil is fucking amazing.

I’m going to lose half the day going over it frame-by-frame. Not that I mind. 😉

    8. Eeeeeeeee!!! My body is ready!! Quick thoughts:

Davos appears to be standing in the same hall Sansa was in the last trailer. And that hall has Mormont banners. I think Davos & Sansa will go together to Bear Island and rally the troops. So fucking excited.

And Sansa is definitely wearing clothes with a Direwolf stitching. Holy crap!!

Tyrion & Dragons!!!! I’m so damn happy!!

I’m off to watch in in slow-mo.

        Quote  Reply

    9. Holy shit! Look at that, its always worth the wait I am telling you folks.

This show relies so much on CGI for their payoff moments.

Every trailer just gets better and better!

We will probably get one more amazing trailer that will be released on some talk show next week…

        Quote  Reply

    10. Sansa, oh my! That direwolf embroidery alone is to die for!

Brienne in Riverrun! But what happens to poor lil Pod?

There is also that wall of bodies in the Battle for Winterfell…

Teary eyes from seeing Loras and his sister hugging.

The mountain is gonna wreak havoc.

      Few questions:
So how many Red Priestesses are there in Meereen this season?

Davos going to Bear Island or is the Winterfell hall decorated with bannermen shields LOL? Or am I mistaken in thinking it’s the mormont bear?

        Quote  Reply

    11. This trailer is so awesome! We need a frame by frame just like last time, if it is not too much to ask.

The red priestess in the meereen pyramid with Varys is not the same actress that was spotted during filming in Spain. I know the actress but I can’t place a name right now.

Looks like Davos and Sansa are a team this year, which confirms Liam’s quote that she has a great arc this season. I think Queen of the North is CONFIRMED!

      Connor,

I think Tormund was referring to Mance, in acknowledging that it will in fact be Jon to lead them when he rises again.

Or maybe Tormund saw what Jon did during the massacre at Hardhome, killing the White Walker and saving as many Wildlings as he can.

Davos and Stark banners, so good to see them again, and when he mentions the dead are coming it looks like the Mormont siglil in the background? Also, how have Brienne and Pod got to Riverrun so quick, must of been captured. Don’t look happy.

      Hype is real.

    17. The actress walking away from Tyrion and Varys seems to be that Israeli actress, so she is playing a red priestess and not a young stunner like some speculated.

It looks like she’s actually High Priestess Kinvara. Melanie Liburd must be playing one of the Red Priestesses that she summons to Meereen to spread the word about Dany being the One Who Was Promised.

    22. Getting some serious of Sansa vs. Ramsay/Boltons vibes with this trailer. She’s going to kick some ass this season. I still think her and Jon are going to reunite at some point…maybe mid-season? Her and Rickon will probably run into each other first, especially if she goes to the Last Hearth/White Harbor.

Also, can I say that if Jaime teams up with Cersei and they end up banging again this season, I will question why I ever loved him in the first place?! At this point in the books, he pretty much wants nothing to do with her.

Arya looks kick ass. Can’t wait to see what she’s going to do in Braavos.

Side note-Is it just me, or does the Night’s King look more buff? xD

I will bet money that’s classic misdirection! We’re to believe he means Jon, but I’d wager he’s actually saying it to Jon. Regarding Mance Rayder.

“I thought he was the man to lead us through the long, I was wrong… You are”

      You heard it hear first!

    25. Christopher Lennon,

Because it’s just a deviance from the book. We will have to wait and see why he’s not in white, but I’m sure it’s because they want to seem less inconspicuous. It would be obvious to people that somebody important was there if 3 kingsguard members were just hanging out at the ToJ during an open rebellion. Just my thoughts anyway.

First of all, the Kingsguard armour is not even white in TV continuitiy. As it concerns Arthur Dayne, maybe Targaryens (or at least king Aerys) used different Kingsguard armour or maybe ser Arthur is not even wearing one.

Jaime is still before his AFFC story and desires his “sweet sister” who is the one who sent him to Riverlands. Also in this period there is a scene in a white tower where Cersei tries something you suggest. I believe they just delayed his arc.
I wonder why we see how he killed the Mad King!!!

I also spotted like 6 burning crosses in front of Winterfell at 0:53.

    46. I’m kind of surprised they released a trailer like this so soon. After the first one seemed to be drawn so heavily from only first episode or two, I kind of figured they were trying to withhold footage from later in the season. Not complaining, of course.

The shot of Davos indoors looks rather like he’s in the same place Sansa was in the shot from the previous trailer.

        Quote  Reply

    47. I have a theory with several sub-topics as to where Season 6 may go. Perhaps half-baked. With the data on hand only now. But perhaps perceiving some trends….

Ultimately, I think Ms. Targaryen will prevail, take the throne. She will stop the Ice King and White Walkers with her dragons. Heat burns flesh to nothing, melts ice and snow, turns water to steam. Nothing can resist that. So all she needs is her three dragons to be free to engage these things from Beyond the Wall–maybe at night, as the aim of arrows is not very good in the dark…. swords miss their targets without rays of light…..

The Stark Children will wend and connoiter their way through this season 6, and be all accounted for at the end, still alive. Indeed, dwarves, dragons and Starks are the nexuses of this entire story, and I don’t think the showrunners want to mess with that….my opinion I am expressing here.

Since R.R. Martin likes to kill off characters (but now he is not in control of the storyline–the TV series is now off beyond where Winds of Winter will go (I have no doubt)), perhaps the showrunners might want to do some “R.R. Martin-ing” of their own. I suspect that Cersei’s son (the current King) will buy it (none of the Lannister children will survive); Cersei herself may buy it; It might happen that Ramsey Bolton will buy it, in a most satisfying, yet exceptionally cruel way… I also think Ms. Targaryen will take a husband when she ascends the throne…. I also think that the Dragons will eat perhaps one or two key characters also….

      My speculative two cents…

    67. Sean C.,

Perhaps this is a version of the trailer that aired after the premiere screening? Other than Davos and the Night’s Watch defending Jon’s body, there doesn’t seem to be a ton of footage here that’s likely to be drawn from Episode 1. That stands in contrast to the first trailer, since anecdotal reports seem to suggest that the premiere covered a good amount of that material.

Like you, I wasn’t expecting another trailer to be released for public consumption, but if it was already cut and ready, that makes more sense.

        Quote  Reply

    68. So, what do we learn from this epic trailer?

      – Walder Frey is back!!! And it seems there is a Frey family party (at the Twins or at Riverrun?). I guess this will become the Red Wedding Vol.2, but which characters will be involved? Brienne and Jaime could be there, but I can’t see them taking part in a Frey massacre. So Arya? Or the Blackfish?
      – It seems, we are going to see Bear Island this season! In one of the Davos scenes you can see several banners of House Mormont in the back. There is also a chandelier, which looks exactly like the one in the Sansa scene from the first trailer. I guess Bear Island is the place where Sansa starts to rally the North against the Boltons. If you give it a thought this makes a lot of sense: After escaping the Bolton hunters with Brienne’s help Sansa and Theon need a safe place to go and with the Umbers apparently on the Bolton’s side, Bear Island seems to be the best choice. Furthermore, it is the perfect place for Theon to take a boat to the Iron Islands and Brienne and Podrick could get away to the Riverlands from there without having to cross the dangerous Bolton territory. Davos could be send there by Jon (who knows about House Mormonts loyality to the Starks – remember Lyanna’s letter!) to bring them over to his side and surprisingly finds Sansa there. The question is: Will Sansa’s Northern army and Jon’s Wildling army unite before the battle or will these be two seperate armies? The battle scenes look like the Wildlings will attack first and get in serious trouble, so maybe Sansa comes in to safe the day?
Btw, was there any casting call which could fit Lady Maege, little Lyanna or another member of House Mormont?
      – Littlefinger looks visibly shocked in the scene, where another figure approaches him. Who could that be? Ramsey? Jon? Sansa? Seems like his plans begin to backfire this season.
      – The Podrick scene at Riverrun is a little confusing. It doesn’t look like the attacker wants to kill him. There are two possibilities: Either he gets kidnapped by some outlaws leading to him and Brienne catching up with their book storyline or this is simply Bronn playing a joke on him 😉

      1) I think those are wildlings at the beginning, silently having surrounded the mutineers waiting outside Davos’ door. Right?

      2) Has Davos believed in the dead coming to war before this? Or do you think he has seen some wights or walkers at this point?

      3) A Girl’s second chance….it looks like she will have to wear a face and do something she is very reluctant to do….but what???

I think Meera is looking up at the person on the horse who took out the wight. 🙂

Pod’s “attacker” is Bronn. Set reports suggested that after Brienne and Pod arrive at Riverrun, Bronn sneaks up behind Pod and grabs him as a joking way to say hello. Pod isn’t amused.

I’m freaking pumped to see Bear Island. You’re right – if the Umbers are siding with the Boltons, then Bear Island makes the most sense as the rallying point for the loyal Northern forces. It’s also a good point for Theon to depart from when he leaves for the Iron Islands.

Like you, I’m curious to see if they (re)cast Maege Mormont – or perhaps they cast Dacey Mormont (since – like the Greatjon and the Smalljon – she wasn’t featured at the Red Wedding, so she may not have died there as far as we know). We should definitely see Lyanna Mormont, since we got her awesome letter last Season. There had to be a few castings that slipped past our notice, especially in the North.

GeeklyInc is reliable. They broke several episode titles last year, including “Kill the Boy”, “Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken”, and “The Gift”.

I’m very curious about “Home”. Unusual title for a Game of Thrones episode. It’s likely related to the North, but it could mean any number of things. So could “Oathbreaker”, for that matter. I can think of a number of possibilities for that one, none of them bright and sunny. It certainly sounds chilling.

      – Jon is not coming back until mid-season. I started to doubt my earlier prediction of an episode 4 reveal, but now I am back to being confident in it.

      – I’m pretty sure it is

      Bronn

who is grabbing Pod around the neck, based on filming spoilers.

In the books it’s a slow procces, but I expect it to be much more sudden and direct in the show.

He will most likely start to break from her when he finds about her and Lancel. Perhaps the HS tells him about them.

The books scream that Jaime is the Valanqar. This why I think they removed that part of the prophecy and are waiting a bit longer until he breaks from her in the show.
Most likely he will break completely a very short time before he finally

      kills Cersei

Maybe he comes in at the last minute to take Tyrion’s place to release the dragons and after showing his arm they clearly both have a shared understanding after seeing the stone men of Valyria.

Also, Sansa evidently finds a good embroiderer in addition to a quality furrier on her travels.

We haven’t seen much of Arya’s season 6 material so far. Here there’s a bit more of her in the House of Black and White again, at least, but so far little indication of the major narrative developments (even if from filming spoilers we can guess at that).

Based on that Frey gathering, I would guess Jaime is headed to the Twins after the Riverrun setpiece, based on the spoilers that he’d be headed away from Riverrun by season’s end.

I didn’t either, but given how secretive the show was about casting and filming this year, it’s not impossible that a few casting calls slipped by us. If Davos and Sansa are going to Bear Island, I think it’s a certainty that we’ll at least meet Lyanna Mormont. They set her up perfectly last year with her “Bear Island knows no King but the King in the North, whose name is Stark!” letter.

Come to think of it, Davos was in the room when Stannis and Jon discussed that letter, so he would know that the Mormonts are staunchly pro-Stark.

If he’s looking for a place to shelter with either Sansa (if she goes to the Wall) or Jon after leaving Castle Black, it makes sense he would head there.

Thorne certainly is prepared to take out Jon’s last loyalists. He’s got archers at the ready. I wonder how Davos will escape that room alive? Perhaps that’s when a certain giant makes an appearance.

Are we sure it’s a wedding at the Twins? Could just be Lannister and Frey soldiers celebrating breaking the siege at Riverrun.

#52 Lord Puff Fish all puffed up and reminding a bit of Harys Swyft with that feathered helmet.

#67 the snapshot does not show it, but if you look at the video with full bright settings, you can see Sansa is talking to a man with long face. If Stannis wasn’t dead, he would have been my first guess.

#72 I think the description in wrong – The front row banner looks like it was Bolton sigil in the flag, then the red flags in the background are Umber flags(black chain on red field).

#87 Is it just me or the yellow flags look like the Baratheon banners (not Stannis’s, but original Baratheon flags)? The reddish-orange one on lefthand side looks like it could be a Hornwood flag

#90 The ma strangling Pod definitely looks like Bronn – no other knight will be that dirty

That extra was clearly telling us the truth. Rickon is (likely) killed by Ramsay. It’s a done deal. At least Jon kills Ramsay so… it will feel a bit better at the end.

You are not going to jump right to a resurrection after less than an episode of the character being dead. That would make the whole thing pointless. We have to first make characters WORK to make it happen. It has to be difficult. It has to hurt… the audience has to wonder if it is even possible.

    174. Unreal!!! Best trailer ever!!

      Thoughts and questions…

If you look at he still of the shadow murder / sword through the back you can also see the shadow of the Iron Throne. Definitely a flashback to Jamie’s Kingslayer moment.

How can Pod be at both the Lannister Camp and the Tully camp? Is he being kidnapped and taken from one to the other (although I do hope it’s just Bron, being friendly…)? Presumably Brienne’s loyalty here is to Jamie and the Lannisters…

Yara in Volantis. Definitely seems to me that she’s taken Victarion’s role in the show.

Who is Theon crying to? They have long hair (so not Yara), could be Sansa (but it’s far more dishevelled than we usually see her).

Mance Rayder never wanted to lead an army, he wanted to lead the people to safety. I believe Thormund is talking about Jon, when he hears of his death.

The rider with the flaming chain and Meera in the background – is the consensus that Bran is with her? Are they fleeing (like in the VFX featurette) after the tree is burned down? And if so, where’s Hodor when they’re being attacked by a wight / saved by the dark rider? Oh no!!!

Love Mace’s feathers too!!! Honestly don’t know how I’m going to wait three weeks.

I’ve been heavily in the no resurrection until after episode 1 camp, if for no other reason than the writers/producers knowing that they would have a red carpet premiere two weeks before the actual public premiere date.

However, I could see them having a big resurrection twist at the very end of E1 before it rolls to credits, once they’ve properly beaten the viewers down with images of his lifeless corpse all off season and throughout that episode. Smart money is still on eps 2 or 3, but I wouldn’t be shocked if they do it in E1 now.

I have to say I have become pretty good at spotting a spoiler comment and scrolling past many of them

Why is the weather different in the ToJ scenes?

Maybe they were fighting for a long time and the weather changed.

Or there’s some supernatural phenomena going on at some point.

LOl at no 1 fan who wants to cut whole story arc

      Zombies That Were Promised:
      Mihnea,

It’s not whether I like or do not like the story, I am saying it does not belong within the confines of the narrative. It could be its own spinoff at this point and nothing of value to the Game of Thrones world would be lost.

It’s always been the problem of Dany’s story, to be honest, but it’s really becoming more and more obvious after season 4, 5, now 6.

      for you it maybe ..

we have dany and tyrion two of five main characters in place and stories of Dorne ,Iron islands and KL and Essos and ultimately WWs all revolve around Dany ..

if you do not like it feel free to skip it ..no one forced to you to watch

      Just please be careful!!!
Don’t uncover anything under spoiler code, no matter what, and if you read something and it starts to sound a bit unfamiliar, just move on to the next post.
It would be a shame for you to get spoiled with only 13 days left.

    209. dragonbringer,

I don’t post often, but yes, when I do, it’s usually about Daenerys.. I am a huge fan. But I will drop it since clearly I am getting told “For you” repeatedly, as though I have to be reminded it’s my own opinion, which I am entitled to??

This place is as bad as ASOIAF…I am watching because I care. Good Lord.

    210. Nymeria Warrior Queen,

i always hate that how one of the best chapters in the series is remembered for that particular scene ..

      Kargaryen,

i was going to say that ..

which means dany will be taken Vaes dothrak in episode 2 and we know what happens at the end of episode 4 ..the shot we saw in spain promo maybe in episode 3

      TheKingWhoCares,

I think it is the Vale soldiers who save the day at the bastard bowl

Haven’t read any spoilers, but this would make some sense, the Stark army was largely decimated at the twins so is bascially non-existent

They could get a small Army of conscripts together but it would lack Professionalism and Discipline given Ser Rodrick is dead etc

They would have some loyal bannerman but they would be on the periphery, eg smaller Houses like Mormonts and Cerwyns

The big Wild Card is if the Vale does indeed intervene as the Balance of power force (they’d have to get through Moat Cailin of course)

In the Books Sweetrobin adores Sansa and I suspect he backs her as she retakes the Riverlands and Twins from the Lannisters/Freys but doesen’t go north (think her arc revolves around Harrenhall), and obviously in the show he would back his cousin/s, so it would be hard for LF to persuade him to go against her or Bran/Rickon etc (or the Vale Lords who know she is Sansa), what LF does influence is WHEN they attack

In the show Sansa could end up re-taking the RL back in S7 with the Vale Army, taking her back to Harrenhall which balances out this substitute role as fArya

    212. ZOMG! ZOMG! Just watched it once so far, and DROGON!! Humongous and glorious! 😀

So it looks like the Reddit poster who said he was extra for the Winterfell battle was legit. Now, IIRC, he said that the end is very dire until SANSA, LF and Vale forces come and save the day. So if that is correct, what is Sansa’s journey? I read all the comments about how she may end up in Bear Island – which would be AWESOME – but then how does she get back to meet up with LF and bring Vale forces up north? Does she go from Bear Is. to the Vale?

This is one of the awesomest trailers EVER! 😀

    213. well, will someone please make a frame to frame analysis because I always miss 50% of trailers???(and I have already seen this one 4 times). Please?????

    214. Two other things I noticed:

      – The chandelier behind the Onion Knight appears to be the same one Sansa is standing near in the first trailer.

      – A man tells Arya that she is getting a second chance, but she will not get a third chance. This suggests to me that the wolf will return this season. Otherwise, what is the point of this line?

    215. Mihnea,

I try very hard not to be rude or dismissive (although, admittedly, I don’t always succeed), but when I see someone referring to Tyrion as “St. Tyrion,” my first thought is, “ah, someone from the ranting and raving threads.” That tells me all I need to know about what I’m about to read.
