  1. Dragon scales get tougher through age, so they are more vulnerable when they are younger. Their fire also gets hotter as they grow.

  2. Found it really interesting to hear another take on dany closing her eyes. Have to agree with Micah, I thought she was just accepting defeat and before the end she wanted this brief moment of peace. This may end up being my own of the season. This was the moment I most looked forward to from the books and it didn’t disappoint.

  3. Glad to have GOO to listen to while I wait to head to the theatre and watch the finale on the big screen.

  4. So, with viewers comparing Stannis/Shireen to Agamemnon/Iphigenia: will Selyse kill Stannis y/n?

  5. Stop defending “Game of Thrones”: How HBO gutted the stories I love

The Internet has hit peak “Game of Thrones” outrage — but this time it’s not coming from TV critics (rightly) bemoaning unnecessary violence against women or fans fuming about the death of their favorite character(s). No, this time fans of “A Song of Ice and Fire” (the book series on which HBO’s “Game of Thrones” is based) are at the source of the hotter-than-wildfire reproach.

On Monday, Linda Antonsson — co-owner of Westeros.org, a popular “A Song of Ice and Fire”/”Game of Thrones” fan-site and co-author of “The World of Ice and Fire,” along with her husband, Elio Garcia, and the man himself, George R.R. Martin — fired off a series of tweets critical of the show and showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss.

  6. Once again, just seeing this now, AFTER a newer episode has aired. You guys gotta put these out sooner, or almost no one will listen

  7. marsyao,

I couldn’t care less what Linda and Elio think, they’re only embarrassing themselves here. And George did NOT fire off a series of tweets critical of GOT.

Respect to Eric for immediately remembering Kraznys’ name!

I don’t get why some people are so obsessed with ‘redemption arcs’. One of the only good ones I know is Spike’s in Buffy, and he remained a ‘bad boy’. From the moment some people smell some redeeming qualities in a character, they want to become blind to other traits. This really was the big problem with how people treated Stannis, I feel.
