  2. Own to all lyannas. & wylis. Own to QoT for finally straightening Dorne out, may she meet Urine Greyjoy next. Most importantly, own to jet packs.

  5. So until the wall comes down Benjen wouldn’t be able to cross and how is Meera going to get Bran through the wall .
    Jon recognised Sansa’s claim before his when he said ” you are Lady of Winterfell”. She doesn’t trust LF and hopefully she understands it’s better to be Sansa Stark of Winterfell , than be Sansa of anywhere else which after her speaking to LF I’m sure she does.
    Lady Mormount is the best new character in a long while. She nails every scene whether speaking or by look.
    Arya revenge is a dish best served cold Stark was looking at Jaime as if his on her list. The face I don’t know how she did it or was it even needed. When was the last time anyone in that circle seen Arya ?
    Cersei seemed as if she knew Tommen would kill himself , he had to died for her to be Queen and power was more important to her. It’s not going to end well for Queen Cersei first of her name .
    Brilliant episode overall , even with time travel Varys .

  7. Another superb episode. A query or two followed by an observation:

    Even if Cersei allies herself with Euron, she going to need more friends and frenemies if she expects to win this game. If so, any guesses who that might be? Or am I underestimating the numbers of her allies.

    And the White Walkers are going to love the Citadel. For one thing, it’s already their favorite color so there’ll be no need to repaint it.

    Karstak was in the battle of the bastards. Likely died during the battle offscreen. If you look carefully, he is present during the Parly between Ramsay and Jon

  12. I thought she would blow up the whole city. That Sparrow thing never appealed to me. glad they are no more.

    But did Jamie now his son was dead??? No way, right?

  14. Don’t forget: she ‘knew’ all 3 of her children would die before her. She didn’t know how or when. She tried to protect him by keeping him in the Palace; but that didn’t work. I wouldn’t say she knew; I’d say she expected it to happen/wasn’t surprised. She didn’t mourn bc she doesn’t have it in her any more. She’s lost too many too close to one another.

    However, since there are no more of Robert’s ‘children’, she has now achieved her greatest dream: to sit on the Iron Throne and rule as Queen.

    Dead? Along with Smalljon Umber and Ramsay Snow?
    Maybe they died during the battle?

    OR wasn’t invited to the Par-Tay??

    I noticed that The Vale didn’t declare their allegiance.. Sweet Robin IS Sansa’s cousin; Littlefinger IS her uncle by marriage. Shouldn’t The Knights of the Vale/ The Warden of the Eyrie be aligning with someone? Surely Littlefinger knows what’s going on in Kingslanding. How can he not? Cersei is not his only informer in the Court.

  17. Great moment was Tyrion getting his ‘hand’ pin from Dany. After wanting it for years in KL and being treated so badly by his father he finally gets the respect he deserves. I will not lie it got a little ‘dusty’ in the TV room when that happened.

    Confess: My eyes started leaking from the moment Lyanna Mormont began her speech until the end of the episode.. No Shame…No Shame.. No Shame..

  20. In Bran’s vision, didn’t we see Jaime kill the mad king as a younger man and then the same scene as an older man with a huddle on the floor? So…this could be his sister?

    Absolutely loved that scene. Dany is winning me over a little more now. As I said in a previous post I’m really glad Tyrion is getting the respect he deserves.

  23. Two things:

    – Sansa is evil now. I know you guys love her, but she’s never been a nice person and every week you keep making her sound ‘better’ than she actually was from the start. She’s just like her mother who HATED Jon all his life. You can’t keep blaming Littlefinger for that, who by the way is an awesome tragic character. Everybody keeps forgetting this ‘evil’ Lord literally grew up in the tiniest, failing, most meaningless keep in all of Westeros with no future or strenght in arms.

    – Melisandre gave a perfect defense: it’s not like she went out and killed the princess herself. Her father, who Davos adores, and mother helped, they can’t put all the blame on her. She just follows the flame god (Bran the Flamer!) , she isnt forcing anyone to do the same, if you follow her its your own fault. Jon understands this, killing her would have been wrong.

  24. For the first time, I am really worried, guys.

    We have so few characters left, and I’m rather fond of them.

    Every season ends with an impressive bodycount. The next major culling fo GoT characters is bound to take out favorites, because that is all that is left.

  26. Before they declared Jon King in the North I thought for sure Sansa being the rightful heir behind Bran, would have just legitimized Jon.

  27. I always enjoy the podcasts, and sometimes even drink and know things from them, but this one was particularly good. The Owners’ enthusiasm for the episode was so infectious that I listened to it thrice during my volunteering gig today.

  28. The good news: Bran and Meera now have a horse!

    The bad news: Bran doesn’t need Meera to pull him around anymore.

    Fortunately for the latter, I suspect her father, Howland Reed, is going to be a fairly significant character next season, so Meera may be needed to deal with him.

    Ewww!! Let’s hope she despises him!!

    Varys and Tyrion are both her trusted advisers and know what LF is capable of. Surely she is smart enough to see through his shams & lies. I’m shuddering to think of his weasley face & voice trying to ‘woo’ her into falling into his traps and schemes. She doesn’t need him or his flip-flopping.

    Maybe Drogon will take an instant dislike to him and decide to have barbecued weasel??
