  1. HIgh-larious. I like it that Sophie remembered Heart-eater after she met it up close in Season 2.

….I don’t think they’ve actually mentioned Dark Sister in the live-action episodes.

I think Sophie should have gotten points for Oathkeeper. I mean it was made *from* her father’s sword, reforged.

  2. Sean C.,

Yes. It was in “A Man Without Honor”, when Tywin and Arya are talking about Aegon and his sisters. Arya says that Visenya Targaryen was a great warrior who carried a Valyrian steel sword called Dark Sister.

  3. When I ask you to take the next left, do you take the second left?

‘I don’t mean this coming left, but next left (the following left”.

  4. Joffrey’s Cunt: Man I wish it was this coming sunday

Me too! We’re almost there though! Just think that the Season 5 finale will be 43 weeks ago this Sunday and we’ll be 3 weeks away from the premiere 🙂

  5. Rygritte,

Oh thanks for posting it again. I hadn’t actually watched it yet. But now that I have, can I be totally OT and say that I just LOVE that we’re going to see Bran and Meera again this season. Can’t wait to get back to them. It sounds like such an incredibly interesting storyline with so much potential. Apart from the North south of the Wall, this is what I’m looking forward to the most!

  6. Nobody has said a thing about Liam and his Lightbringer answer? Then someone off camera says ” Remember who you work for” Azor Ahai confirmed 🙂

Oh my God! I thought only in Spanish we had those nagging differences… It’s terrible to learn than in English it’s the same… ugh!

  8. plop_plop,

Several seasons ago Melisandre said Stannis was Azor Ahai… Of course, there is the present tense the person in the back uses, but still… he might have been refering to his prior boss.

  9. Liam and Lena are just too awesome. I just want to listen to them talk about world affairs and metal bands all day.

    Connor,

Just when I thought I could get that out of my head you put it right back in!! 🙂

  10. if any of you watch the walking dead, The last 10 minutes worth of Audio gut leaked online, I Hope Game of Thrones does a better job of keeping everything under wraps. They are taking the right measures, good luck thrones XD

Shireen mentions Dark Sister when she’s talking to see Ser Onion Knight when he’s locked up for attempted assassination on Red Velvet. Back in the day when the entire Baratheon family wasn’t dead.

  12. Sean C.,

For a second I thought you were serious, then I saw the “entire season” part! Alfie will probably be seeing HBO snipers everywhere he turns right now..

  13. I so hope we get another Peter Drunklage sketch on SNL

‘wanna know what’s in my tumblr?…
    …regret”

“I WANNA KNOW WHAT LOVE IIIIIIIIIISSSSS…..”

  14. GhostCR,

We’ve dealt with it in my language. We say :”Saturday 8 days” when we don’t mean this next Saturday but the Saturday after the next one. Applies to all weekdays of course, and it doesn’t matter whether Xday is 8 or 12 days away. It’s just “Xday 8 days.”

Yeah, I was curious about that too. Unless Lightbringer is another sword on the show? I am ashamed to say that I have not paid too much attention to sword names. Except Oathkeeper.
I guess I have the same views on the subject as The Hound.

Lightbringer is the sword Stannis claimed he had.
I wouldn’t take the “who do you work for” seriously as spoiler. It seems there is another actor who says it, for fun.

  17. Sou,
    Maggie,

“And whose sword is that? “Remember who you work for.” I don’t care, I’m taking that as a clue 🙂 Davos will be the right hand of AA or the Lord’s chosen himself. Eh but we kind of figured that out already, or something close to it, haven’t we?

  18. tkk,

    Very cute interview, thank you!
Maisie has scenes with two great characters: the Hound and Jaquen.

  19. Pigeon,

Lovely indeed! I have noticed your new avatar, I fully understand 😉 But poor Jorah! His Khaleesi doesn’t care for him, he’s got greyscale and now you abandon him? Cruel fate he has!

  20. I already have it set to record. I liked the little bit that was teased for SNL. Can’t wait to see it on Sunday morning. I am sure I won’t be awake when the first airing happens.

Oh no, Jorah will always be tied for first place in my heart with Sandor! It’s a rocky relationship. But every now and then I need that faceless man in my life (avatar). 😉

  22. Pigeon,

With such a face, it’s a pity that he’s a Faceless Man! Bad pun, I know, but looking at Tom (especially in the Jaqen H’ghar incarnation) makes a girl lose her mind.
I love Sandor! My favourite Easter present this year is a Dark Horse figure: the Hound. My collection is growing! Why don’t they do a Jaqen figure?
“A question for philosophers” (Lady Olenna)

  23. That was very meta, seeing those two on SNL sitting in front of a screen that’s pretending to be a window, with them pretending that it’s a window that they’ve mistaken for a screen.

  24. Jack Bauer 24: Joffrey’s Cunt: No, next sunday is actually the 3rd

I don’t mean this coming Sunday, but next Sunday (the following Sunday).

Thekinginthegreatwhitenorth: When I ask you to take the next left, do you take the second left?

‘I don’t mean this coming left, but next left (the following left”.

No, they’re not directly comparable, because a week is a unit. I deal with this distinction all the time when I’m writing headlines for previews of upcoming events. If the newspaper is coming out on Thursday and I’m writing about an event that happens the next day, I refer to it as “this Friday.” If it’s coming up the following week, I write “next Friday.” They’re not the same thing.
