Con Of Thrones 2018 Call for Programming is Now Open!

Con of Thrones 2018

The 2018 Call for Programming is open for Con of Thrones!

In May, thousands of our fellow GoT/ASOIAF fanatics will embark on an expedition to Dallas to join Game of Thrones cast members Esmé Bianco (Ros), Kate Dickie (Lysa Arryn), and Aimee Richardson (Myrcella Baratheon) and many more to nerd out for three days.

But the best part of the con just might be the panels, and this is your opportunity to submit a proposal and potentially be a presenter at this huge event.

Read on for details on how to submit. And by God, get your tickets. Winter is Coming. And so is the End…

Con of Thrones is pleased to announce the annual Call for Programming is now open! Fans of Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire are invited to submit programming proposals for Con of Thrones 2018. Programming proposals must be submitted by Friday, March 2. Con of Thrones presenters will be provided a complimentary day pass for the day of their programming. For more information, please visit www.ConOfThrones.net/submissions!

Con of Thrones is the premier convention for fans of Game of Thrones, A Song of Ice and Fire, and the worlds of George R. R. Martin. This year the con is taking place at the Hyatt Regency Dallas from May 25-27. Tickets (for the full-weekend or single-day passes) are on sale now.

Watchers on the Wall is an official programming partner for Con of Thrones!

You can learn more about the convention, sign up to receive ravens, and follow Con of Thrones for updates at their FacebookTwitterInstagram, and of course the official Con of Thrones 2018 website!

I knew that would alert you! 😁

I was going to attribute my quote to you, but did not want to be presumptuous. You’ve got dibs. I shall bow out gracefully.

[Attempted re-post of 2:53 reply. Prior attempt must’ve gone out through the Moon Door and up to Aphabet Heaven.]

  2. Looking Forward to seeing Everyone there and having a blast again! I will definitely be submitting some Spicy Topic Ideas for Panels!

  3. Oz of Thrones: Hey Bears… don’t be trying to steal my Lady.

My eldest and I were watching Retribution (newly on Netflix) and were all, we met her! She is the sweetest person ever. Anne only watched half of the show, and I wanted to be all, “Dickie did it” just to psych her out.

On a slightly unrelated note, D&D are doing Star Wars next. What happened to the Confederate dystopian? Did the negative social media reaction affect this decision?

I’m hoping it’s a lot deader than Robert E. Lee at this point. Besides selecting a tone-deaf topic, the timing on a renewed glorification of slavery and white supremacy is abysmally bad.

Unless one is a member of the “alt-white” or whatever the AmNazis are calling themselves these days…

That’s a pretty huge and unfounded assumption to make… that it would have been “a renewed glorification of slavery and white supremacy.” I expected it to be precisely the opposite, especially given that white supremacists have been coming out of the closet in droves since the election: A view of a brutal world that would have totally negated the watered-down narrative so many Americans choose to keep believing in.

  6. We Watchers absolutely love the articles (and photos) involving location shooting, so might I suggest booking as a speaker someone involved in that aspect of the show to talk about the amazing and beautiful locations?

  7. Hluti tvö (Icelandic for part two, according to Google Translation at least):

I imagine folks involved with location shooting would have some great anecdotes and would appreciate some attention being paid to their hard work for once. And it might even give the Con of Thrones graphic squad (which I assume numbers in the thousands) an opportunity to stretch their creative muscles. 😉

Kyle, I look forward to seeing you on some panels. And to meet you and Gemma. I’ve asked some friends to recommend some Vegan restaurants, preferably downtown. Didn’t you once mention possibly being on an Arya panel–that would be so great. And yesterday’s video was great too. Hype and love!
