Win a signed copy of Game of Thrones: A Pop-Up Guide to Westeros!

PopUpCover

Four days! There’s only four days left until the premiere of Game of Thrones season 6, until we’re drawn back into the magical, terrifying and occasionally wonderful world of Westeros. To celebrate, we’re having a giveaway day here at Watchers on the Wall.

First up today, we’re proud to present this gorgeous copy of Game of Thrones: A Pop-Up Guide to Westeros. The book takes us inside several major locations of Westeros and beyond, using the series’ famous opening credits as inspiration. Together, the spreads fold out to form a map that can be displayed. Throughout the locations are smaller pop-ups, including dragons, direwolves and more, along with insightful information that turns the Pop-Up Guide into a reference book as well.

This is a particularly special copy of Game of Thrones: A Pop-Up Guide to Westeros, as, courtesy of Insight Editions, it has been signed by the man behind the genius craftsmanship of the book, renowned paper engineer Matthew Reinhart.

Leave a comment below to enter to win this copy of Game of Thrones: A Pop-Up Guide to Westeros!

*The giveaway is limited to residents of USA and Canada only.* (A different non-USA/Canada giveaway for our international readers will also be posted this afternoon!)

  1. Man my two little daughters would love this! It would save me the time searching Youtube for G-rated compilations of Drogon and his siblings.

  2. Nice! I’ve never seen this book in real life, but it looks awesome. Always been a fan of pop-ups.

  3. My joy would NOT turn into ashes in my mouth if I won this pop up book!!
*see what I did there 😉

  4. Wow, Matthew! You have really outdone yourself. I am beyond amazed at how you brought my favorite fantasy world to life in the palm of your hands. This is a treasure.

  5. Beautiful – I’d put this on permanent display on my living room coffee table!

Thank you for these giveaways. 🙂

  6. Ah! I had a little laugh at Ser Meryn Fucking Trant popping up! Well that certainly looks like him anyway. Fantastic book!

  7. I love paper, even better when in book form, and best still when it leaps up and obake transforms. Yes, please!

  8. What a gorgeous pop-up book.

Almost like my beloved Sleeping Beauty castle book of long ago. 😀

  9. I am commenting! Let the retweeting and sharing commence!! #gameofthrones #season6iscoming #youarenotprepared

  10. Me wants. It would look great next to my “History of Westeros” copy on the bookshelf!!!

  11. I have prayed to the Father, the Mother, the Maiden, the Crone, the Warrior, the Smith, and the Stranger; the Old Gods, and the New Gods, and the Lord of Light, and the Drowned God, to have this tome delivered to me forthwith. It must be mine, I say!

  12. “…a mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone if it is to keep its edge.”

  13. Yay!!! So excited for the new season! And just got my mom to catch up on the rest of GoT so she can watch it too!!!

  14. Matthew Reinhart is awesome… I met him at BookCon in NY a couple of years ago when he signed my pop-up Star Wars book! I’d love to add this one to my collection!

  15. Such a pretty book. I’m a huge GoT fan, love to have in my collection. Being signed, totally be a center piece in my home to share with fam + friends. Thanks for a chance to win! <3

  16. This is one of those books that I’ve wanted to buy for a long time, but I just haven’t been able to justify the price. Such a beautiful book.

  17. Oooh … Great way to introduce the kids to Westeros!

My coffee table is SCREAMING for this!

  18. The mere fact that you call making love “pop-up” tells me that you aren’t ready.

  19. I would absolutely love this!!

Also, as a sidenote, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your articles over the past few months that I’ve been a subscriber 🙂

  20. Given my lack of skill and desire to own a painted table replica, this book would suffice…for now.

  21. Still waiting for official Lego GoT castles (a man can dream) but this seems quite cool. When my dog destroys it and eats the pieces, I will consider that foreshadowing.

  22. This cover gives me the notion that someone at HBO’s swag-marketing department ought to design a pendant necklace with the astrolabe from the opening sequence – with real moving parts, like the Hermione Granger Time-Turner.

  23. Should I be the oh so fortunate winner of this giveaway…I will study its contents as diligently as Sam would & it will further enable me to
dream of travels all through Westeros. Riding on the backs of Drogon, Rhaegal, or Viserion.
(while wearing my Watchers on the Wall tee!).

  24. Please let me win? I didn’t win the Stark OR Lannister stein. The least you can do is let me win SOMETHING.
