It looks like Davos is going to do a lot, taking charge… After having seen this trailer I think that Jon wont even be in the first half of the season, to make people doubt that he will ever come back and then all of a sudden he will appear at the battle with Mel. Davos is the one who is going to start the war against the Boltons.

Getting some serious of Sansa vs. Ramsay/Boltons vibes with this trailer. She’s going to kick some ass this season. I still think her and Jon are going to reunite at some point…maybe mid-season? Her and Rickon will probably run into each other first, especially if she goes to the Last Hearth/White Harbor.
Also, can I say that if Jaime teams up with Cersei and they end up banging again this season, I will question why I ever loved him in the first place?! At this point in the books, he pretty much wants nothing to do with her.

First of all, the Kingsguard armour is not even white in TV continuitiy. As it concerns Arthur Dayne, maybe Targaryens (or at least king Aerys) used different Kingsguard armour or maybe ser Arthur is not even wearing one.

Very little Dany, and, again, mostly from what I assume is her early stuff as captive. Either she has some incredibly spoiler-isa stuff they’re holding back, or, God forbid, she’s captive the whole season.
I’m kind of surprised they released a trailer like this so soon. After the first one seemed to be drawn so heavily from only first episode or two, I kind of figured they were trying to withhold footage from later in the season. Not complaining, of course.
The shot of Davos indoors looks rather like he’s in the same place Sansa was in the shot from the previous trailer.

I have a theory with several sub-topics as to where Season 6 may go. Perhaps half-baked. With the data on hand only now. But perhaps perceiving some trends….
Ultimately, I think Ms. Targaryen will prevail, take the throne. She will stop the Ice King and White Walkers with her dragons. Heat burns flesh to nothing, melts ice and snow, turns water to steam. Nothing can resist that. So all she needs is her three dragons to be free to engage these things from Beyond the Wall–maybe at night, as the aim of arrows is not very good in the dark…. swords miss their targets without rays of light…..
The Stark Children will wend and connoiter their way through this season 6, and be all accounted for at the end, still alive. Indeed, dwarves, dragons and Starks are the nexuses of this entire story, and I don’t think the showrunners want to mess with that….my opinion I am expressing here.
Since R.R. Martin likes to kill off characters (but now he is not in control of the storyline–the TV series is now off beyond where Winds of Winter will go (I have no doubt)), perhaps the showrunners might want to do some “R.R. Martin-ing” of their own. I suspect that Cersei’s son (the current King) will buy it (none of the Lannister children will survive); Cersei herself may buy it; It might happen that Ramsey Bolton will buy it, in a most satisfying, yet exceptionally cruel way… I also think Ms. Targaryen will take a husband when she ascends the throne…. I also think that the Dragons will eat perhaps one or two key characters also….

Perhaps this is a version of the trailer that aired after the premiere screening? Other than Davos and the Night’s Watch defending Jon’s body, there doesn’t seem to be a ton of footage here that’s likely to be drawn from Episode 1. That stands in contrast to the first trailer, since anecdotal reports seem to suggest that the premiere covered a good amount of that material.
Like you, I wasn’t expecting another trailer to be released for public consumption, but if it was already cut and ready, that makes more sense.

So, what do we learn from this epic trailer?
– It seems, we are going to see Bear Island this season! In one of the Davos scenes you can see several banners of House Mormont in the back. There is also a chandelier, which looks exactly like the one in the Sansa scene from the first trailer. I guess Bear Island is the place where Sansa starts to rally the North against the Boltons. If you give it a thought this makes a lot of sense: After escaping the Bolton hunters with Brienne’s help Sansa and Theon need a safe place to go and with the Umbers apparently on the Bolton’s side, Bear Island seems to be the best choice. Furthermore, it is the perfect place for Theon to take a boat to the Iron Islands and Brienne and Podrick could get away to the Riverlands from there without having to cross the dangerous Bolton territory. Davos could be send there by Jon (who knows about House Mormonts loyality to the Starks – remember Lyanna’s letter!) to bring them over to his side and surprisingly finds Sansa there. The question is: Will Sansa’s Northern army and Jon’s Wildling army unite before the battle or will these be two seperate armies? The battle scenes look like the Wildlings will attack first and get in serious trouble, so maybe Sansa comes in to safe the day?
Btw, was there any casting call which could fit Lady Maege, little Lyanna or another member of House Mormont?
– Littlefinger looks visibly shocked in the scene, where another figure approaches him. Who could that be? Ramsey? Jon? Sansa? Seems like his plans begin to backfire this season.
– The Podrick scene at Riverrun is a little confusing. It doesn’t look like the attacker wants to kill him. There are two possibilities: Either he gets kidnapped by some outlaws leading to him and Brienne catching up with their book storyline or this is simply Bronn playing a joke on him đ

I’m freaking pumped to see Bear Island. You’re right – if the Umbers are siding with the Boltons, then Bear Island makes the most sense as the rallying point for the loyal Northern forces. It’s also a good point for Theon to depart from when he leaves for the Iron Islands.
Like you, I’m curious to see if they (re)cast Maege Mormont – or perhaps they cast Dacey Mormont (since – like the Greatjon and the Smalljon – she wasn’t featured at the Red Wedding, so she may not have died there as far as we know). We should definitely see Lyanna Mormont, since we got her awesome letter last Season. There had to be a few castings that slipped past our notice, especially in the North.

I’m very curious about “Home”. Unusual title for a Game of Thrones episode. It’s likely related to the North, but it could mean any number of things. So could “Oathbreaker”, for that matter. I can think of a number of possibilities for that one, none of them bright and sunny. It certainly sounds chilling.

I’d lean towards Jon as he’s about to turn on the Night’s Watch and go after the Boltons.
Jaime will not break from Cersei yet.
In the books it’s a slow procces, but I expect it to be much more sudden and direct in the show.
He will most likely start to break from her when he finds about her and Lancel. Perhaps the HS tells him about them.
The books scream that Jaime is the Valanqar. This why I think they removed that part of the prophecy and are waiting a bit longer until he breaks from her in the show.

Is it to Daario after a perhaps completed mission to rescue Dany and this is a request for a mercy killing after mission accomplished (shades of Maester Aemon)? Is it to Dany after a rescue and this time being honest up front about something he would hide (his goodbye speech after volunteering for a suicide mission). Or is it perhaps to Tyrion? Maybe he comes in at the last minute to take Tyrion’s place to release the dragons and after showing his arm they clearly both have a shared understanding after seeing the stone men of Valyria.
Were there any casting calls or anything for a Mormont, if Davos (and by extension, Sansa) are on Bear Island? I don’t recall seeing anything that put me in mind of them.
Also, Sansa evidently finds a good embroiderer in addition to a quality furrier on her travels.
We haven’t seen much of Arya’s season 6 material so far. Here there’s a bit more of her in the House of Black and White again, at least, but so far little indication of the major narrative developments (even if from filming spoilers we can guess at that).

I didn’t either, but given how secretive the show was about casting and filming this year, it’s not impossible that a few casting calls slipped by us. If Davos and Sansa are going to Bear Island, I think it’s a certainty that we’ll at least meet Lyanna Mormont. They set her up perfectly last year with her “Bear Island knows no King but the King in the North, whose name is Stark!” letter.
Come to think of it, Davos was in the room when Stannis and Jon discussed that letter, so he would know that the Mormonts are staunchly pro-Stark.

i got this screenshot at the final moment before the screen turns black – there’s literally 0.01 seconds of facetime on whoever is behind sansa, even on 0.25 speed it’s hard to grab lmao. I would say Jon – it looks like him in his night watch outfit, maybe with his hair tied up or pulled back or something – but haven’t we seen him in different outfits? It’s basically confirmed Melisandre has a big role in episode 1 so she definitely warrants a title.
You are not going to jump right to a resurrection after less than an episode of the character being dead. That would make the whole thing pointless. We have to first make characters WORK to make it happen. It has to be difficult. It has to hurt… the audience has to wonder if it is even possible.

My only complaint is St. Tyrion being King of Meereen…like…HOW??! And Emilia Clarke is a wooden actress it’s not enough she’s got less screentime… can we just cut everything going on in the East??? It REALLY no longer belongs in the show, since the show does not want to (or cannot) give it the justice, scale, and time it needs for the story there to breathe.
It’s become a pus on the show, at this point.

If you look at he still of the shadow murder / sword through the back you can also see the shadow of the Iron Throne. Definitely a flashback to Jamie’s Kingslayer moment.
How can Pod be at both the Lannister Camp and the Tully camp? Is he being kidnapped and taken from one to the other (although I do hope it’s just Bron, being friendly…)? Presumably Brienne’s loyalty here is to Jamie and the Lannisters…

Who is Theon crying to? They have long hair (so not Yara), could be Sansa (but it’s far more dishevelled than we usually see her).

I’ve been heavily in the no resurrection until after episode 1 camp, if for no other reason than the writers/producers knowing that they would have a red carpet premiere two weeks before the actual public premiere date.
However, I could see them having a big resurrection twist at the very end of E1 before it rolls to credits, once they’ve properly beaten the viewers down with images of his lifeless corpse all off season and throughout that episode. Smart money is still on eps 2 or 3, but I wouldn’t be shocked if they do it in E1 now.
No other dead character has gotten this much buzz and facetime in promo campaign as Jon. They are really not being subtle.

I didn’t think I could love Davos Seaworth anymore than I already do, but seeing him take up the cause of the Starks and riding along side Stark bannermen has taken my love for him threw the roof. I will be devastated if he dies. His death would gut me as much as that of a direwolf or a dragon. And those animals are at the top of my ‘Do not harm’ list.

You do realize there are people who are exited for Dany’s story? Just as there are people who like Emilia’s acting? And as a book reader, who read the books 6 times I think they do it justice, in some instances more then the last 2 books themselves.
Just because you don’t like that part of the story doesn’t mean others shouldn’t like it or are not exited for it. So why not just ignore what you don’t like and focus on what you do?
I’m not exited at all for Jaime’s story in the riverlands, at all. I hoped it was cut.
But I know there are people who like it, so you don’t see me yelling they should cut it.

I’m confused about the Red Priestess in Meereen. On IMDB Melanie Liburd is cast as High Priestess Kinvara, but that was clearly Ania Bukstein walking away from Varys and Tyrion. I wonder If there will be more than one new Red Priestess or if there was a change in casting.
I’m a Dorne supporter myself. Surprised we haven’t seen a single clip of them.

Anyone else a bit bummed out with the Umbers fighting for the Boltons? (If speculation is correct anyway). Seems a shame after them declaring for Robb in Season 2 and then doing a full 180, even more of a letdown if they give the Boltons the heir the north too, always assumed they were an honourable house.

Witch is good. I liked that the show didn’t try to make some big new story out of Dorne. But instead made into a side-story for Jaime.
Martin tried to turn it into a new major story with new lead characters, but fell flat on his face.
The smaller Dorne’s scope is and the more tied it is with a major story, the better.

which means dany will be taken Vaes dothrak in episode 2 and we know what happens at the end of episode 4 ..the shot we saw in spain promo maybe in episode 3
Haven’t read any spoilers, but this would make some sense, the Stark army was largely decimated at the twins so is bascially non-existent
They could get a small Army of conscripts together but it would lack Professionalism and Discipline given Ser Rodrick is dead etc
They would have some loyal bannerman but they would be on the periphery, eg smaller Houses like Mormonts and Cerwyns
The big Wild Card is if the Vale does indeed intervene as the Balance of power force (they’d have to get through Moat Cailin of course)
In the Books Sweetrobin adores Sansa and I suspect he backs her as she retakes the Riverlands and Twins from the Lannisters/Freys but doesen’t go north (think her arc revolves around Harrenhall), and obviously in the show he would back his cousin/s, so it would be hard for LF to persuade him to go against her or Bran/Rickon etc (or the Vale Lords who know she is Sansa), what LF does influence is WHEN they attack
In the show Sansa could end up re-taking the RL back in S7 with the Vale Army, taking her back to Harrenhall which balances out this substitute role as fArya

The hair on the person in the shot of Theon crying is shoulder length and the same colour as Yara’s. I’m 99 % certain that’s Yara.
Two other things I noticed:
– The chandelier behind the Onion Knight appears to be the same one Sansa is standing near in the first trailer.
– A man tells Arya that she is getting a second chance, but she will not get a third chance. This suggests to me that the wolf will return this season. Otherwise, what is the point of this line?

That tallies with the spoilers of Sansa arriving with the Vale army, and it would give her something notable to do in episode 9, since she’s not a soldier and can’t fight.
My first thought was Jaime killing Robert Strong, but then again, I realized Robert Strong’s armor wouldn’t allow for Jaime to stab him like that.

Emilia’s acting was great season 1, it is wooden but personally I think that is the point thematically, Dany is putting on a Queen persona that doesen’t fit her and acting how she thinks she is meant to be acting as a Queen but it isn’t Dany, but people are blaming Emilia Clarkes acting
I reckon this season and equivalent point in the books, she (Dany) goes Fire+Blood and stops trying to be a try-hard or politician, and Emilia’s “wooden” acting performances will magically go away. Can see her just burning Mereen to the ground tbh and I’m looking forward to the change in Dany as someone who found her Slavers Bay arc and this Mhysa thing a little annoying at times
As for Jaimie, a lot of whingeing but it is now making sense, last year was a downfall for Lannisters, eg Cersei against FM in KL and Jaimie in Dorne and failing to rescue Myrcella. This season will see them rise up again a little, eg Cersei claws back some credibility via Ser Robert Strong and Jaimie re-asserts some Lannister prestige by taking RR off Blackfish but towards the end there will be developments, eg Jaimie going off Cersei + I suspect Tommen will get killed at seasons end (along with Rickon and Davos and Loras etc so quite a few)
I reckon Riverrun in the show will be much better than the books, the books are filling a dual function, Briennes laborious meanderings through the RL are pointing out the aftermath of war but also how the Sparrow movement rises etc which wasn’t covered properly in the build up to last season but the show will be better. Looking forward to it

Exactly most complaints arise when people fail to differentiate the actor and character and what the writers want and trying to do with that character .

I don’t need to praise Emilia in each of my posts in order to defend my fan-status just so I can criticize her acting lol. And it is her acting, I’ve seen her in other stuff at this point..it’s such a disappointment to me cause I really really believed she showed so much promise to go far.
The show is popular but it doesn’t mean it’s devoid of real issues hurting it from being even better. I am worried about Season 6 being as jumpy as Season 3, the story needs time to breathe on those zingers for them to have real impact. Instead of contracting like D&D said, we are expanding the story even more.
I didn’t think I could get anymore hyped for season 6… I was wrong.

But why would they waste valuable screen time showing that. It’s already been described and discussed numerous times in the show. There’s no mystery to be discovered in that.

This. The flashbacks and visions have to be crucial to the progressing plot. They have to have a point to them. How would a flashback of Jaime killing Aerys be anything other than fanservice at this point? It has no bearing on the plot and even the character. It’s not a new revelation (it’s been known since season 1) and will have no consequences in the existing plot.

Yeah, I don’t know if I think that Sansa’s being with Davos (which we are to some extent assuming at this point) means that Jon has been rezzed. However, I do think it might indicate that she decided to go north to meet the brother whose whereabouts she was sure of. Other possibility is that they just happen upon each other at Bear Island, or are there at separate times. The interesting thing is I am assuming that Brienne saves Sansa and Theon. So how does she end up in Riverrun and Sansa stays in the North (that is the way it looks, right?)

It looks like someone is trying to sneak up on the Mountain and stabs him in the back but to his surprise it has no affect cuz The Mountain is a Flesh Golem (D&D talk, look it up).
Also, the weird fins on The Mountain’s helmet probably is what makes that shadow appear like a crown.

I actually think the shot some think is shadow of Jamie stabbing the mad king is actually a person of FAITH stabbing Ser Robert Strong in the back, only to find out the sword does not cause him pain or kill him that way.

Of course it’s Jaime killing Aerys at 1.07. Look at the shadows, one resembles Jaime, the other is a tall pretty thin character with a beard and shoulder long hair and with what appears to be a crown on his head if you look closely. He is also wearing a tunic with very wide openings in it’s sleeves, definitely not something that MountainStrong would wear.

We all just assumed Liburd was Kinvara because she shot scenes as a Red Priestess in Girona standing in for Meereen. But it turns out from the trailer that Ania Bukstein is Kinvara. I imagine Liburd is playing one of the priestesses Kinvara said she’d summon to Meereen in the audition scene. So Liburd’s still in s6, just in a smaller role than we’d suspected.

For me, it doesn’t make much sense for LF to just appear out of nowhere in the woods around Winterfell. Given that Brienne finds Sansa in Ep 1 makes it even more unlikely IMO.

Riding straight to Winterfell to meat an opposing army that outnumbers yours 6 to 1 is just poor thinking.
While Boltons being defeated is great it kinda sucks that the Vale soldiers will get the credit and glory of freeing Winterfell and not Stark loyal northmen and wildlings.

At the time these “spoilers” were first being discussed, didn’t someone post saying that they were an extra for this sequence and that the guy who posted the “spoiler” got some bits right but most of it was wrong, so he suggested we ignore it. Perhaps he was actually an extra (IIRC he did post some proof), but he wasn’t privy to the whole sequence and made some of it up. That’s what I’m choosing to believe.

Probably the best trailer produced for the show thus far. Incredible tension throughout and that pulsating score? Ugh my heart!! Sooooo many noteworthy moments already mentioned, I won’t repeat. I honestly don’t think we’re quite prepared for the shocks/thrills we’re going to get, however in tune we are with set leaks and spoilers.
Just fills my heart with pride that Sansa and Bran are impacting the story in big ways now. Arya needs to leave the HoBW, she feels so disconnected, but even her scenes look thrilling this time round. Of course Jon isn’t out the picture, but honestly I kind of forgot his presence watching this trailer (sorry!!!)

I don’t know which extra-with-spoilers you’re referring to, there were so many claiming that this year- but I can answer the giant question.
Any scene with a giant, they have this long stick with a ball at the top, and they walk it around the set so that people know where to look. It’s so the actors have the right eyeline for the scenes with giants. And the extras in scenes with the giant need to know it’s there when they’re being told to pretend to attack it, spear upward at it.

I was thinking of the letter Stannis received in S5 from Lyanna. He said she was Lady of Bear Island, so I assumed that her older sisters (if there were any in the show) and her mother were gone… So yeah, maybe she’ll have some sort of adviser by her side or maester?
The Manderley role is curious. There’s always a chance that the fat Lord that was cast is head of that made-up House with the yellow dots in the sigil. But I don’t really know why there would be a need to change that. Hmm.

I don’t believe this to be true, but even if it is, the man in the Targaryen KG armor in this trailer looks different from the one who is dual wielding in the other trailers. And he looks nothing like Luke Roberts or Eddie Eyre. The man dual wielding looked like Luke Roberts, and he is almost certainly Dayne.
IMdb is rubbish. Anyone can edit it so misreported stuff gets repeated, and users also create mischief. (Every year Michelle Fairley and Joseph Mawle seem to pop up on the cast list!) Plus, actors and agents hype their own work, especially when they aren’t well known. She seems to be in the show but it could be something quite insignificant.

He looks smaller than Eddie, but he tweeted that he was in the trailer, so I expect you are right. So with both Roberts and Eyre being KG, who the hell is playing Ned and/or Howland? We all speculated that Aramayo is Howland, with a few guessing he is Ned, but he’s certainly not both. So we don’t know who is playing one of them.
The one who died at the Red Wedding was one of Maege’s daughters, Dacey. Maege is somewhere in the North with two of her other daughters. Lyanna is the youngest so she’s at Bear Island. This is in the books, at least. I assume the show will just conveniently kill everyone to save time, or maybe we’ll get a mention that some are held captives somewhere.

I agree with Luke and Eddie as Kingsguards and think Aramayo could very well be our Ned. At first I was totally against the idea because I didn’t see any similarities between him and Sean Bean, but Bean’s face had quite bony and sharp features (sorry, I don’t know how else to describe it in English) when he was younger and clean shaven.

He won’t. Either the flame is for someone else, or they spliced in a separate scene in which one of the dragons unleashes on someone or something. That is, after all, very standard in trailers.

Targaryens are not fire proof, and they definitely are not dragon-flame resistant.
I would think it more probable that Tyrion will tame/befriend one of them based on things that he has learned about dragons from books.
Or they did attack it, or they will in the far future. Remember, Bran is going to see the past and future as well as the present. He could be a “Mirror of Galadriel” portent of what will come to pass if X, Y and/or Z are not done. Or it’s possible that in the past war, the Walkers unsuccessfully attacked the weirwood grove.
Bran’s daytripping literally adds a 4th dimension to things for which we need to allow.
It seems improbable that LF would be able to learn too much about what Ramsay was doing with Sansa before he sees her again. The Boltons excel at keeping things secret, after all.

You’re right that they’d have to set it up properly but I think it would have a lot of emotional resonance to actually see a multi-generational Stark link. Arya and Lyanna are supposed to be very alike after all. Maisie is the right age and we know she can act. All they’d need to do is glam her up a bit, as they do for magazine shoots.

My question as well. She slept with Lancel and wants Tyrion dead (and Jamie well knows the latter). What else has she really done? No Kettlebacks. Jamie’s shift occurs before he meets with Lancel on his tour of the Riverlands. I suspect that others are right in that it will be sudden but will there be something in addition to Lancel to cause it.

I recall in the books Wyman M knew a lot of what the Boltons had done … starving Lady Hornwood?, and what happened at WF but a lot of that was due to the mute Ironborn who they found … although some it it they got directly or through spying on the Freys who were in White Harbor. And of course, the whole fArya story was carried on in front of the assembled lords in WF unlike the Sansa story on the show. He learns sooner or later as AG has stated that LF feels remorse for what’s happened to Sansa. But who knows when he learns.

I haven’t read through all the comments but is it me or is that a dragons neck in front of the pyramid of Meeren? I can’t tell if it looks yellow or green…either way its one of the dragons that were left behind.

Also I like the idea of the shadows introducing the play, I cannot wait for the play (It will be like the show Joffrey put on, with the dwarves). If it is an actual flashback (either through Vision or Memory), maybe they are doing that to show the parallels between the Mad King and Cersei. It would be really cool to hear the Mad King’s last words be echoed by Cersei which will trigger Jaime to gradually separate himself from her.

The simpler explanation is that the basis of the alliance is the Wildlings, and that the Umbers have suffered terribly at the hands of Wildlings over the centuries.
Remember, Game of Thrones is no different from actual history: people enter into alliances with lesser enemies against greater enemies with every intention of starting (or resuming) hostilities once the greater enemy is finished. After all, this is happening in only about 3 or 4 other plotlines in this tale!
Maybe Meera is looking up in horror at a Ice dragon or Danys Dragons. Could also be ice spiders as big as hounds!
In all these scenes of Davos and the Nights Watch men about to fight to protect Jon’s body: Where is Dolorous Edd?? He was the only Nights Watch character left (with a name) that was a friend of Jon’s still at Castle Black. Wouldn’t he be in that room with them?
Rickon Stark is the male heir to the north. If he were to die then the whole battle would loose much of its value as house stark would be extiguished through the male line and loose its importance with its female line. If sansa is the last heir, she will be the last stark ruler of the north as her sons will be heirs of their fathers house. Thats why i dont believe rickon will die. Sansa will be rickon’s regent until he comes of age and she will have much of the power in the north. Jon has other issues at hand. The spoiler on reddit never confirmed rickon died only that he was shot and his fste is unknown.

That’s a completly different scene. And it’s a different item. Pause the trailer at 1:13. where the ice-sword has it’s blade the possible horn has some leather strapped around. We will have to wait and see, but it looks definitly not like sword.

Well, it’s tits and dragons. And the dragons are, where Daeny is. I don’t think it makes sense to completly cut that storyline so the dragons would appear all the sudden out of nowhere.

I’d say (with the rumor of the actress seen in Belfast with another actor that is confirmed to appear in what would be the same storyline, rumors of outlaws, the fact that they’re doing Jaimys riverlands-AFFC-arc, the Frey focus in the coming season, a clip in the trailer of freys hall filled with lannister soldiers, the prostetics-guy who said they were doing something in season 3 that got pushed to 4 then 5 but is definately happening now, Jamie and Brienne both apparantly ending up in the Riverlands this season, and Podrick being grabbed from behind in a lannister camp) that Lady Stoneheart is more possible now than ever before. I’m not the type that hyped it from the beginning, but now I actually believe there is a big chance she’s coming. They were holding it back until reaching a similiar plotthreat so one wouldnt diminish the other in surprise. It’s happening!

Yes, that did get out: but that was because Roose was not there. Book!Ramsay is much more of a thug than is Show!Ramsay – you can practically here Book!Ramsay speaking in a bad Italian-American NY accent! However, both in the books and on the show, Roose admonishes Ramsay for not keeping things “quiet.” Roose, on the other hand, could have been an Cold War Eastern European leader: what happens in the Dreadfort (or Winterfell) stays in the Dreadfort.

Jon has aligned himself with Wildlings, yes: but Jon is a bastard, and thus not a real Stark. Bastards are notorious for being, well, bastards. So, that really would not be held against the Stark household. Indeed, if they are hoping to restore Rickon, then removing Jon would be particularly important to the Umbers: after all, wouldn’t it be just like a bastard (and one who already has show his treason by letting Wildlings into Westeros and possibly deserting the Watch) to try to usurp the rightful heir? So, someone with pro Stark loyalties would align themselves against Jon, just as people with pro-Targaryen loyalties would align themselves against Blackfyres.
The question is: when (if ever) does Sansa align with Jon? My bet is the the alignment might wind up getting forced. Still, it is interesting that the one house we know seems to be with Sansa is the Mormants, and they are the one Northern house of which we know that has not had Wildling problems: the Iron Born occupy that niche for Bear Island.
At this point, I really have no idea how it is going to play out. However, Martin loves 3-sided conflicts.

It also occurs to me that Stark-loyalists holding Rickon might also view Sansa as a rival. After all, women with designs on power (or who appear to do so) are just as bad as bastards in this world. So, a “pro-Rickon” northerner knowing nothing none of the specifics (and those certainly would be hard to learn, or to take seriously if they were learned) easily might assume that both Jon and Sansa are angling to cheat Rickon out of what is his.

Inheritance doesnt work like that,but lets say it does. Do you really think Ned Starks daughter would marry a lesser lord that no one ever heard off? No! Second, the only way for the main line to survive is for her to marry a Karstark cousin if Rickon dies. If she were to harry Harrold Karstark(cadet branch), their heir would be a Stark, because both of them are STARKS.

As for the Mormonts, they never reveal the father of Maege mormonts daughters, he could be a cousin and a Mormont himself. It happens….just like Tywin married his first cousin.

Rather than a dilemma of conflicting oaths, it goes back to the theme of the books, also introduced in the show, of having to make the difficult choice between love vs. duty, e.g. Ned’s talk with Varys (lying for his daughters vs. saving his honor); Jon’s talk with Aemon (fighting for ones family vs. upholding Night’s Watch oath); Arya’s talk with Jaqen (holding on to Needle vs. becoming no-one); etc. etc. etc.
For Brienne: Love = Jaime (and therefore by extension Lannister) vs. Duty = Lady Catelyn (Tully and Stark) and Renly (Baratheon)
Tully, Stark and Baratheon interests come into direct conflict with Lannister.
If she chooses Jaime, it will be an ironic mirror of Jaime’s ‘the things I do for love…’and she will be guilty of the very thing she derides him for, oathbreaking. She will also no longer be fit to bear that sword ‘Oathkeeper’…perhaps it will find its way into the hand of another more worthy of Ice’s legacy. It’s also an ironic twist that she fell in love with Jaime while she was doing her duty, taking the despised ‘Oathbreaker’ par excellence back to Kings Landing during the war, a war he’d helped trigger by doing the very things he was willing to do for love, thus setting herself up for her own scenario of oathbreaking, in another war! (and on and on it goes…now this ones on top now that one…love gives way to duty, duty defeated by love… will someone please break this wheel…)
Cynically, GRRM is very fond of ripping off the scales from the eyes of the ingĂ©nue, and D&D are only too happy to oblige with this gripping trend and follow suit (e.g. Ned’s honest bumblings which got him killed and the audience hooked; Sansa’s rude awakening, only to get ruder and rawer, when she finally cottons on to what yarn LF’s been spinning…) —
and, following in this tradition, I expect Brienne’s innocence and idealism will not be spared either.
Oathbreaker could refer to any number of people though (D&D like playing with a few interpretations in the same episode).

It seems that there’s also some potential for Ramsay to manipulate people’s loyalties following Sansa’s flight. He could tell them that she’s pregnant with a Lannister kid and ran away to find Tyrion or something….I don’t know, make it up, but we know the guy delights in making people trust him and then turning around and betraying that trust in horrible ways. Ramsay knows that Rickon is still alive, though, and if he’s going to oppose whatever Sansa is planning to do, it makes sense for him to try to flush Rickon out of hiding through some kind of deceit, so that he can pit Stark against Stark and undermine the credibility of Sansa’s stories and the legitimacy of her revolt.
