  1. The realization that we’ll likely only have

Viserys for a couple more episodes makes me sad. I have really gotten to feel for his character, in no small part due to Paddy Considine.
  2. Pigeon,

Yes, I like how Paddy makes him fierce but incompetent at the same time.

Next week is the last episode for Milly and Emily! They have really done great. Milly steals the show and I love watching her. Emily has a subtlety beyond her 19 years. She has captured Alicent’s transformation from timid to finding her power without losing a certain characteristic reserve and tact for the character.

  3. Also, I’m glad to see that they aren’t completely whitewashing Rhaenyra.
That was a mistake D&D made with Tyrion.

I will truly miss them, they’ve been absolutely excellent. ❤

Yes, I think Viserys is truly someone who hates conflict and is not good at making tough decisions, which I certainly understand. His father’s reign was for so long, and during peaceful times, and I’m sure he was assuming it could stay that way…can’t say I envy anyone possessing the crown. 😄 Being a good person and being a good ruler are not synonymous. Probably even more difficult when your body is disintegrating.

  5. I appreciate pretty much every actor in this show, and their characters, it’s bizarre. Feeling for Alicent particularly and her no-win situation.

  6. So what are your opinions/viewpoints on Daemon? For me even though he is rather reckless and doesn’t seem to care for much, the one thing he always seems to fall back on is the Targaryen customs/traditions. Every character in the show paints him as this loose cannon with only selfish ideals but I’m not so sure. He might the one that actually cares the most about the Targaryen legacy. I find it fascinating.

  7. DavidQ,
I fully agree with reckless and true Targaryen! I don’t think Daemon means to use Rhaenyra to become king and imo what he feels for her goes deeper than pure lust. Bearing in mind that, for that time, she may be considered an adult and that incest is normal for the Targaryens, Daemon may see her as his ideal partner and a kindred spirit.

  8. Just watched the episode and definitely my favourite since the premiere. The lack of time jumps and focus on character build up paid off in my opinion. I actually quite liked Rhaenyra for the first time in the series, Daemon and Viserys were also really well acted. Hope the show can deliver more like that rather than some of the rushed plot lines.

For me he’s been under utilised but has the potential to be the star of the series. He walks the right line between hero and villain with charisma unlike anyone else.
