Join us January 15th for the Watchers on the Wall Awards!

WotW season7-awards

After months of nominations, debate and voting, we’ve finally reached the end point- the Watchers on the Wall Awards are coming! Join us Monday night, January 15th at 7PM EST for our live ceremony, broadcast live via Youtube. We’ll be announcing the results of all your voting in a fun-packed evening. As we announce the Watchers on the Wall Award winners, we’ll be sharing our thoughts on season 7 and tossing in a few worldwide giveaways of amazing Game of Thrones merch at our party.

The broadcast will be embedded into a post right here on the 15th, so be ready for the event to begin, because the giveaways will start with the very first commenter on the ceremony post! Be there at 7PM EST sharp. The rest of the contests will be popping up throughout the ceremony so tune in, join in the fun, and win!

If you can’t make it that night, don’t worry- we’ll be posting the awards results afterward and the broadcast will remain available for later watching.

Save the date, and thank you all for your contributions, in making this year’s Watchers on the Wall Awards happen!

  1. Happy and peaceful New Year to everyone; only another year to go until we have a date, potentially 🍾🎉

The Long Year has begun… a year from now HBO should be showing a few clips of season 8 in their look what’s is store for 2019 commercial… Happy New Year WotW

  3. firstone,

We Brits won’t get that, we don’t have the HBO channel so I am relying on the wonderful WotW to pass on any clips, no matter how small 👍

  4. Although this may be premature without including the fnal six episodes, since we have over a year until S8 begins, I’d be curious to see how the fandom would vote on all of the WoW Awards categories if all seven seasons were included.

For instance: Best Guest Actress – Karsi or Lyanna Mormont….or someone else? [For me, in retrospect, it’d be Essie Davis as Lady Crane; she gets better and better upon rewatching]

  5. Ten Bears,

Damn that would be a tough call. I love all 3. How about best battle/action sequence? Castle Black, BoB, Hardhome, Field of Fire, or Blackwater? Once the series ends, WotW should definitely have a total series awards…

    The “best battle/action sequence”….

Visually? Daeny & dragons vs. Masters’ armada in S6e9

Viscerally? Hardhome. When the dogs started barking and the snow mist stirred on the mountains, I got that “WTF” feeling…and then the suspense built up and exploded into non-stop pandemonium. When Edd yelled at Jon, ”F*ck the glass! We’re gonna die here!” I think I was yelling the same thing at my TV screen.
    Unparalleled.

Best WTF moment when the wights starting piling up rolling down the hills…

  8. I’ll watch the recording in the morning, so good luck and be goofy, everyone 😉 It’s always a great event, tune in if your schedule permits!
