  1. I loved hearing from Sue!

It’s my greatest wish that George pulls a Beyonce and BOOM it’s available on ebook one day, with the physical copy following soon after. it would save the publishing company loads in marketing. I’ll keep dreaming!

  2. THANK YOU so much for deciding to go with the Combined Reading of AFFC/ADWD! I can’t say it enough how happy that makes me! This is how I chose to read books 4/5 my first time through the series and I did not regret it for a second. Obviously, I think this is a great decision and cannot wait to re-experience this joint reading with you guys.

  3. Cool group assembled. Thumbs up on delving into the combined order. I’ll read along as well! More mythology!

But “Sound the charge”??? Are you mocking us dejected, gut-wrenched TWoW anticipators?

[Selmy churns restlessly in his show!grave] 😉

I couldn’t disagree more. I think it would be horrible to have it available on e-book before physical copies were available for purchase. Then again, I’m one who will always, always prefer an actual book over some some e-version. I couldn’t care less about saving the publishing company money. They’re going to make plenty.

  5. GOO Sers and Lady – can you tell us when you are beginning the reading and which two chapters that we will read first? I am so pumped about the combined reading, anxious to get started! Haven’t read the books for a few years so really looking forward to this. Thanks!

  6. Nymeria Warrior Queen,

I love real books, but I am super anal perfectionist when I read, even when trying to remember who the most minuscule characters are, and the search function in ebooks is an absolute life saver when reading series like ASOIAF or WOT

  7. Hi guys!
FEASTDANCE is the fan-preferred name for the combined books 🙂

So incredibly stoked!!!! This is so freaking exciting!!!! Love you guys, and so glad Zack and Eric get to be sullied too 🙂 Join the wait for WoW.

    -Kim

  8. I’m happy for Zack and Eric that they finally get to be sullied, but I’m a bit worried as well. Does this mean that GOO will no longer be unsullied-friendly?

  9. Love the combined book plan! Are you going to post (or is there a list somewhere) of how to read this way chapter by chapter? I’d love to read along!

  10. Yay! Having listened to the Cast of Thrones doing Feast Dance it feels like a more thematically cohesive story than the seperate books. I know you guys are ready to become Sullied, but I would still suggest going with the Feast Dance New Reader Friendly version.

There are spoilers for Feast within certain chapters of Dance with Dragons that would fall “earlier” in the combined read than the thing being spoiled, so it would be fun to preserve those for new readers. So I guess I’m really just worried about Eric 🙂
