I had to admit that I had never watched Ozzy Man review an episode of Thrones, and the guilt I now feel is heavy.

Although I usually find them kind of just ok, I really enjoyed What the Flick this week. And Ozzy Man is always great. I love his mixture of humor in the first half with some good analysis in the 2nd half of his videos.

Another great Oz slang moment: Jorah packed the esky (a styrofoam beer cooler).
I watched a recap where there was some serious Arya bashing, which TBH sounded somewhat odd,it was like a parent complaining about the nasty neighbor’s child. so that was the only one I watched. I’m up for a good in debth video though. gonna check these out.
Good on the Oz Man for pointing out the Robert Baratheon/Ned Stark you’re so fat now callback, which went zip right over my head faster than Littlefinger’s bullet train.
Emergency Awesome’s discussion of Cersei’s pregnancy leading to her demise and death (hence not violating Maggy the Frog’s prophesy) was unexpected and quite interesting. I have no idea where this development is leading…but all I can think about is Talisa at the RW…and Arya as a faceless someone…
Ozzy once again had me in stitches. His brief scene summaries are gutbusting. (Favorites: Drogon turned the Tarlys into a combo deal and “his warhammer gives me a raging stiffy!”). 🙂 But even he mentions the jarring pace of the season/episode thus far.
AltShiftX seems to have faded this season, probably has another gig. He releases his GoT stuff on Fridays now, well behind the others. I’ve always identified with and learned from his mix of show and book thoughts to recap an episode. Plus, his method of culling the blog communities for various supplemental story theories and plot logic is fascinating.
A pity we now have to wait until Friday for Alt Shift X. Pretty sure he posted his video recap a couple of days after a new episode was aired? Anyhow, better late than never – Enjoy 🙂
Oh, that I did, indeed! Saw that he put it up this morning! He has a slight variation on the MaggyTheFrog theme than the others I’ve read. I like that he is just as baffled by the wight mission as the rest of us, even though the character assembly is to die for. (!) I had a good laugh when he wondered why anyone would think Cersei would be impressed by a wight demonstration…she already has an undead right by her side!!!!!! 🙂 His presentation is so droll I hinge on every word!

I’ve always found AltShiftX’s recaps very detailed and punctuated with screen shots from earlier episodes as a reminder which is good. I’m not surprised his recaps take longer to appear on-line than the others? Must take him a while to trawl through old episodes to find the appropriate screen shots. I presume he does all the video editing first and when happy with that, he does the voice-over.
Yep, his presentations are very droll, but occasionally even he adds ‘the odd expletive’ when appropriate! However, not quite the same as Ozzyman (whose recaps I enjoy also which are hilarious) which is full of them 😀
